On a trip to Paris, my boyfriend and I had one of the best dinners at Mamma Primi. We tried to get a last minute table at their sister location Pink Mamma but struck out. Luckily this location was able to squeeze us in for dinner and boy was it worth it. We were absolutely amazed by the truffle pasta (LA FAMEUSE PÂTE À LA TRUFFE). We loved it so much, we ordered another. We also tried the Burrata Mitsouko and the Duck in Love which is a modified version of beef carpaccio but with duck. Everything was delicious, but a piece of my heart has been set aside for that truffle pasta anytime. This restaurant chain is a must try if you are ever in Paris. read more

This place was awesome. Make a reservation! I only got in because I was a singleton and got there late in the evening, but it was still packed. I sat right by the kitchen, and that alone was a trip. But the food was epic - the pizza fritta (aka fried pizza!) was super fun, but the Pate a La truffe was absolutely ridiculous, filled to the brim with truffles and beautiful al dente pasta. Pair in with a glass of valpolicella! For dessert I ordered tiramisu - the waitress came by with a giant pan of it, scooped out a huge bowl, and said "would you like some more?" Good thing I said no, it was super strong with the espresso and I would never have slept. Excellent though! read more

Excellent Italian with energy coming from all directions. Lively staff, guests are there for a good time and great meal, and the menu drives great sensory experiences, both on taste and eyes. Fresh food and really reasonable prices, you can't lose! I do recommend having a reservation. The whole Big Mamma group is a winner. read more

If you find yourself in France with a hankering for some great Italian food, you can find it at Mamma Primi. If there's a Margherita pizza on the menu, I'm probably ordering it, like I did here, and it was really really good. The crust was nice and fluffy, with the right amount of char, and the mozzarella was nice and melty/creamy. We also got the mortadella, which was just a big plate of the delicious cuts of meat, and the truffle pasta, which is served in a pan! Everything was delicious. One big downside though is the service is comically bad, even for France's standards! We were seated outside, which is totally fine, but the tables were stacked literally within a couple of inches next to each other. You need to pick up the table and move it to be able to get out! Again, pretty extreme even in France. And you really have to be aggressive about getting your waiter's attention to order and pay. I think we were sitting around for about 30 minutes before we could finally flag someone down to order. All in all though, the food more than makes up for the service. read more

After much anticipation (it's so impossible to get a weekend reservation here), I came here with a friend on a bank holiday Friday evening in early November 2022. We had made reservations about a week in advance for 9:45 pm. When we arrived, the restaurant was still pretty busy, showing how popular it is. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a large colorful bar and comfortable seating. Despite being so popular, the tables did not feel too crowded and the service was efficient. In the summer there is also outdoor seating on a beautiful terrasse with lots of vines. My friend and I skipped the appetizers, going straight to mains. I ordered the House if Gnocchi, a gnocchi dish with anchovy butter and trout eggs. My friend got a white pizza called the Dame blanche. We also split a liter of San Pellegrino sparkling water. My gnocchi was really tasty and the gnocchi was the texture I expected. However the dish itself was pretty small and I was still a bit hungry after I finished. My friend enjoyed her pizza, which was a generous size. Afterwards, I got the pistachio tiramisu for dessert, but did not wind up enjoying it as it wasn't really flavorful for me, and I wound up regretting that I didn't just get the classic tiramisu. My friend ordered an herbal infusion but was ultimately served a regular tea, which she didn't touch since it was a bit too late for caffeine. Overall we had a pretty nice meal for a reasonable price (25-ish euros per person, splitting the bill down the middle) but given the popularity of the place we were a bit disappointed in the dessert/tea, and the size of my main dish. However we were glad to have tried it! read more

Had a date night here just as fall was starting and we sat outside under the warmers! It was about a 20 minute wait on a Friday night. The caprese appetizer was soooo delicious. So simple but everything tasted super fresh and crisp. For our entrees, I had the basic pappardelle and red sauce and although the sauce and presentation was amazing I really thought the fresh pasta was super dense and chewy and I'm a bit fresh pasta lover. The bite of pizza I had was delicious though, the dough was perfectly cooked, crisp, almost flat bread style. The tiramisu was also a highlight and the limoncello dessert was different and delicious as well. Honorable mention to the very instagram-able pour over chocolate dessert we saw many others ordering. I walked to Mamma Primi on Wednesday afternoon for some Italian lunch after a week of eating French food and a steady amount of Doner Kebab. I have heard about this place, and was delighted to know that the Mamma restaurants had a place near my hotel. I arrived at 2pm, and was immediately seated at a table. I was informed that the place closed at 2:30, and as long as I could get my order in before then, I would be able to stay as late as I needed in order to finish it. I had to wait about 10 minutes until my waiter came by to take my order. I ordered the following: Gypset Special cocktail, Duo de Saucissons, and Cacio de Pepe. Gypset Special: This was my second choice, as the spicy bloody mary was unavailable. The drink was a bit sweet for my taste, but still good nonetheless. A tequila drink laced with Absinthe made for an interesting drink. The cocktail glass was rimmed with crushed seasoned salt crackers that helped cut the sweetness of the drink. Though this drink was good, if given the chance to go back here, I would order something else. Duo de Saucissons: Paper-thin slices of fennel salami? Yes please! (see photo) Cacio de Pepe: Delicious fresh pasta made on the premises, perfectly seasoned and served hot in a cheese wheel. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and given just the right amount of black pepper. Healthy portion, and I did not finish it all (and I can usually put it away). Ambiance was great, staff was wonderful and the food was very good. I give 4 stars due to the fact that I had to wait a good 10 minutes to get a menu after being seated, and for the cocktail being a bit sweet, even though I was told that it was not a sweet drink. All in all, great place and I would come back here in a heartbeat. read more

Having seen the line outside on previous nights, we tried to make a reservation in person. We were told that the restaurant didn't take reservations and that we needed to line up when they opened at 7 p.m. We arrived around 6:50 to a fairly long line. Most of the patrons were young Parisians. Fortunately, once the restaurant opened at 7, everyone was seated quickly. Both appetizers and main courses were delicious. Two of us had the raviolis with Dorado which was excellent although I would have liked a few more raviolis. Despite this, Mamma Primi's was one of our favorite restaurants during our trip to Paris. Another instagrammable, overhyped restaraunt. Vibe and decor is 12/10, no doubt. The food is aesthetically pleasing, but not very good. The pizza dough was undercooked and burned (twice, after I complained the first time) the pizza doesn't hold itself and is wet (bad dough, inexperienced staff) the pasta was good, but the sauce was too heavy. I would come back here again for drinks and maybe an appetizer. Horrible service from the moment I asked them to re do the pizza :) read more

Fabrizio (the manager) is so amazing!!! This is the best place in all of Paris in my opinion. My wife and I came here for our last two dinners in Paris and everyone was a dream! Both times we didn't have a reservation and Fabrizio made sure we still had a great table and seated us immediately everyone! The truffle pasta is a must get. As someone who never liked mushrooms, I can proudly say that this is my favorite pasta! Also margarita pizza is sooo yummy! I highly recommend this place!! 10/10 read more

Ah, you will feel like you've finally escaped all the tourists. Obviously, tasty pizzas. The pastas are also delicious- do ask for an English menu so you don't accidentally order the rabbit pasta! Do order the appetizers- especially the prosciutto, best ham ever. I wish we have more time to check out the other Mamma restaurants- they all have different vibes! The truffle pizza is OUTSTANDING! Not only is it beautiful to see, it is a mushroom lovers dream. It's overflowing with different types of mushrooms, including truffles, on top of a light and creamy white sauce. The pizza dough is chewy and perfectly prepared. We will definitely order it again during our next visit. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. They don't take reservations, we got there @ 7:15 and it was already packed. That tells you something right there. We were able to join a communal table with 2 seats available next to the open kitchen and it was amazing to watch how efficiently they churned out all the food.
