    Pizza fritta

This place was awesome. Make a reservation! I only got in because I was a singleton and got there late in the evening, but it was still packed. I sat right by the kitchen, and that alone was a trip. But the food was epic - the pizza fritta (aka fried pizza!) was super fun, but the Pate a La truffe was absolutely ridiculous, filled to the brim with truffles and beautiful al dente pasta. Pair in with a glass of valpolicella! For dessert I ordered tiramisu - the waitress came by with a giant pan of it, scooped out a huge bowl, and said "would you like some more?" Good thing I said no, it was super strong with the espresso and I would never have slept. Excellent though!

Excellent Italian with energy coming from all directions. Lively staff, guests are there for a good time and great meal, and the menu drives great sensory experiences, both on taste and eyes. Fresh food and really reasonable prices, you can't lose! I do recommend having a reservation. The whole Big Mamma group is a winner.

If you find yourself in France with a hankering for some great Italian food, you can find it at Mamma Primi. If there's a Margherita pizza on the menu, I'm probably ordering it, like I did here, and it was really really good. The crust was nice and fluffy, with the right amount of char, and the mozzarella was nice and melty/creamy. We also got the mortadella, which was just a big plate of the delicious cuts of meat, and the truffle pasta, which is served in a pan! Everything was delicious. One big downside though is the service is comically bad, even for France's standards! We were seated outside, which is totally fine, but the tables were stacked literally within a couple of inches next to each other. You need to pick up the table and move it to be able to get out! Again, pretty extreme even in France. And you really have to be aggressive about getting your waiter's attention to order and pay. I think we were sitting around for about 30 minutes before we could finally flag someone down to order. All in all though, the food more than makes up for the service.

Pizza Dame blanche, House of Gnocchi

After much anticipation (it's so impossible to get a weekend reservation here), I came here with a friend on a bank holiday Friday evening in early November 2022. We had made reservations about a week in advance for 9:45 pm. When we arrived, the restaurant was still pretty busy, showing how popular it is. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a large colorful bar and comfortable seating. Despite being so popular, the tables did not feel too crowded and the service was efficient. In the summer there is also outdoor seating on a beautiful terrasse with lots of vines. My friend and I skipped the appetizers, going straight to mains. I ordered the House if Gnocchi, a gnocchi dish with anchovy butter and trout eggs. My friend got a white pizza called the Dame blanche. We also split a liter of San Pellegrino sparkling water. My gnocchi was really tasty and the gnocchi was the texture I expected. However the dish itself was pretty small and I was still a bit hungry after I finished. My friend enjoyed her pizza, which was a generous size. Afterwards, I got the pistachio tiramisu for dessert, but did not wind up enjoying it as it wasn't really flavorful for me, and I wound up regretting that I didn't just get the classic tiramisu. My friend ordered an herbal infusion but was ultimately served a regular tea, which she didn't touch since it was a bit too late for caffeine. Overall we had a pretty nice meal for a reasonable price (25-ish euros per person, splitting the bill down the middle) but given the popularity of the place we were a bit disappointed in the dessert/tea, and the size of my main dish. However we were glad to have tried it!

Had a date night here just as fall was starting and we sat outside under the warmers! It was about a 20 minute wait on a Friday night. The caprese appetizer was soooo delicious. So simple but everything tasted super fresh and crisp. For our entrees, I had the basic pappardelle and red sauce and although the sauce and presentation was amazing I really thought the fresh pasta was super dense and chewy and I'm a bit fresh pasta lover. The bite of pizza I had was delicious though, the dough was perfectly cooked, crisp, almost flat bread style. The tiramisu was also a highlight and the limoncello dessert was different and delicious as well. Honorable mention to the very instagram-able pour over chocolate dessert we saw many others ordering. Would definitely eat there again!

Great food great service great ambience we loved it!! Highly recommend, everyone was very nice

Amazing authentic Italian restaurant in Paris. This restaurant was very lively on a Tuesday night. The margarita pizza and truffle pasta were so delicious. The wait staff was from Italy and everyone was super friendly.

When we told the server that there was a rat all he said was "this is Paris" we asked if he could move it and he said "no, this is Paris don't worry." If it was just Paris we wouldn't have had other parisians in the restaurant being freaked out about. I get it we are Americans and aren't used to it, but not even putting the rat outside after we asked them to is awful. We stayed at the restaurant although we shouldn't have. The food took an hour and a half to come out, and the server was pretty awful. Typical for Paris but even worse than usual. The prices were outrageous and the food did not taste good whatsoever. Highly don't recommend this place if you value a good atmosphere without eating next to rats.

We loved the service, attentive, friendly, answering lots of questions. Good wine list. Overall, somewhat expensive, but it's Paris. The carpaccio of beef was great as was the spinach ravioli with truffles. The only "miss" here was that the black truffles seemed to lack power and flavor which they sometimes do. I am not a truffle expert, but sometimes they pack a lot of very good punch and sometimes you can barely taste them, and in this case it was the latter. Feel like we got head-faked into the truffle menu and might have been better off on the regular one. Suggest: smell the truffles when they show them to you and if it's not fairly overpowering, then don't order. The bellinis were fanastic on the other hand. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I want a fancy Italian meal not far from the Champs Elyseees.

They were closed the following day (Sunday) so we were somewhat surprised to be greeted warmly and shown to a table which they made up for us. We were given a couple of menus, and told by our waiter in a nice way that the clock was ticking for the kitchen so we quickly chose a couple of pizzas and a bottle of wine. Having worked in kitchens before, I know first hand that latecomers are not the most welcome by the kitchen staff when they are trying to clean up and get out to enjoy their evening and the following day off. The food was wonderful, pizza dough was crispy, the toppings fresh in spite of the late hour, and the wine was excellent. Now the prices we have come to recognize in our first few days in Paris are pretty steep relative to Vancouver, which is saying something, but we feel we got our monies worth. One thing to remember in France when using a credit card is that you cannot add a tip on the machine, so bring cash with you to tip. If you add it to the bill on the machine the establishment gets the money not the person who waited upon you. Cash goes to them and them alone. We are leaving Paris in the morning and heading back to Fenice again this evening, a little earlier this time to enjoy their fine food one more time. Highly recommended from our first experience, here's hoping for a repeat. Bon appetit! VISIT #2 Ate here a second time while in Paris and were surprised that we were recognized upon our arrival and once again seated at the same table we had had a couple of evenings prior. I can only say that our second experience was even better than our first. Our food was outstanding, the service first class. We only wish we had more nights in Paris to sample more of the menu.

The restaurant did not disappoint. After delicious starters of eggplant, rocket and Parma ham we enjoyed scrumptious mains with veal, beef medallions, lamb and rhombus pasta all thoroughly enjoyed. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable with a nice ambiance from other guests. I can highly recommend this restaurant.
