Had our first dinner in Paris here because every Friday is pizza night back home! The ambience is fantastic - especially being right off the champs de elysee where some Places feel stuffy. This felt like a laid back family establishment that served good food and had great service. We sat upstairs and had a great server who was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was incredible! My daughter and I both enjoyed the pizza and also had dessert. Would highly recommend and we put it on our list for places to come back. read more

I always eat here when in Paris. If you're trying to get away from the champs Elysees crowd, this is a great place to do that. It's a family owned Italian restaurant and I've had basically everything on the menu and you can't go wrong. Make sure to sit upstairs if you can- downstairs has no AC and can be really warm in the summer time. read more

The food was out of this world. The service was excellent. Staff treats you like family. The dining room was cozy and inviting. Menu is available via the QR CODE on the table. Menu is available in multiple languages. Wine list is compact but has many stellar choices. Wife and I had a two bottle dinner. We enjoyed two apps, two mains and two desserts as well. The absolute worst food I have ever eaten in all of my travels in Europe. Terrible service and disgusting tasteless, bland food. The restaurant was also gross and dirty and a fly kept buzzing near my food. Let us go through some examples: 1) We ordered a starter salad. The server brought a completely different salad (main dish). We asked if that was the correct salad and pointed to the menu, specifically pointing to the salad we ordered. The server brought the salad back to the kitchen and returned it to us with some cheese on the top. He said that it was correct now. Later we noticed that the restaurant charged us for the more expensive salad, despite us specifically confirming with the server that the salad was a starter salad. Very sketchy that they overcharged us. 2) The server attempted to sit us right next to the bathroom. Nothing like trying to enjoy a meal with people coming in and out of the bathroom. 3) The pasta was cold and had almost no taste. Thinking back, I feel sick even imagine this pasta. I have had far better pasta directly from a can. 4) The water tasted terrible and stale. 5) The restaurant seemed dirty and run down. It could use a very deep cleaning. In summary, I sincerely regret coming here. Absolutely terrible restaurant. Horrible in every single way. You couldn't pay me to go back here. This restaurant proves that just because a restaurant is in Paris doesn't mean it will automatically be good. There are so many other amazing restaurants to go to in Paris. Don't waste your time at this horrendous place. read more

I want to start off by saying we walked in here on a whim. We had a long day of sightseeing and honestly, not the best meals. We were all very hungry, and maybe a little cranky. My daughter is not the most adventurous eater she just wanted a plate of pasta. Something hearty and filling. So we chose this restaurant as a place to *hopefully* just get a quick fix of something. We were seated right away, and offered drinks. I made my first mistake of not getting the gentleman's name who was working that night. He must be part owner or the owner because the immense pride he took in catering to everyone's needs was incredible. Every person that came in, whether it was take out or sit down, he struck up A conversation and made sure they were ordering/receiving EXACTLY what they wanted. I ordered white wine, my husband a red. He offered us a couple different samples to ensure we'd enjoyed our glass of wine. Then onto ordering our dishes. My daughter was offered a test of cheese and a sample of herbs they were using to make the special of the day, they accommodated her dish to make sure she'd like it. We ordered one of the specials, penne arrabbiata, the calzone with jamón, and pasta puttanesca. All were FANTASTIC...truthfully, beyond what we expected. But one of the best parts, as if the food wasn't enough. Was dessert. We finished with the tiramisu. I've been to many places. Italy, NYC, East Coast, West Coast. This may very well be worth visiting Paris again, because I'm dreaming of this dessert daily!! read more

We picked L'Italien by random and it was a perfect choice. I was the only strictly English speaker in a group of 5. Not once did I feel the service was poor. The service in fact was over and beyond. I got the crème de curry pizza. The taste was amazing. The curry flavor was well balanced and unlike any curry dish I have had. Have you ever been to a restaurant and known immediately it was a special place? This place is like that. One of our favorite restaurants we have eaten at in Paris. Small. Packed with happy people. The best Italian food ever (we went to Rome recently and this food was better than anything there. I don't know if it's the French influence but it was Italian, only BETTER). The waiter was so friendly, when we left I accidentally left my scarf and he went running down the street after me to return it. I don't know if this is a family business but it had all the markings of one. I felt like I was eating in the home of a big warm Italian family. I loved the entire experience. This 2 story restaurant is spacious and bright, located in the Champs-Elysees area, a few short blocks away. We came in for dinner and really enjoyed it. We ordered a Calabrese pizza for starters, beef balls a la Sicilian spaghetti, veal scallopini, and prawn risotto. A friendly lady greeted us and took us upstairs to a nice, roomy area. My overall experience was great! The food was delicious and our server, Bappi, was helpful, polite, accommodating and overall delightful.
