This was our favorite meal during our entire trip. This is a cozy, small resteraunt with friendly staff and AMAZING food. Our appetizers, entree, & dessert were all delicious.

My wife, daughter, daughter's friend, and I were fortunate to eat at Le Comtoir de L'Artise (CA) for New Year's Eve (NYE). We use Yelp a lot and discovered that CA was just down the street from our AirBnb. Trying to find a place to celebrate NYE in Paris is difficult and daunting. Every place we tried to book was either closed, wildly expensive, or the reservation process was logistically challenging for non-French speakers. (Je ne parle pa Francais.) CA made everything easy. CA is a cozy, small, atmospheric Italian restaurant in the 8th. Our NYE meal was fantastic and a great bargain at 65€ per person since it came with Prosecco, starter, main course, cheese course, and dessert. We also ordered two bottles of very good wine, both of which were reasonably priced. The food was meticulously prepared and very flavorful. All of the dishes were excellent, but the tiramisu was like nothing I've ever tasted- the best I've ever had by a long shot. Our server was very friendly and the service was appropriately attentive. Despite the fact that the restaurant is small, we did not feel crowded in any way. In a word, our experience was perfect and we feel very fortunate to have discovered CA. We highly recommend it.

Wonderful quaint restaurant off the beaten path from the Champs Elysees. You feel like you are in a quiet house of a warm, lovely older French couple. Food was simple but great as the cook let the food do the talking vs being heavily sauced. I had the anchovies salad to start which was very fresh and tasty. For the meal, I had the swordfish that was perfectly grilled. My wife loved her filet which was cooked medium rare and asked for the pasta as her side which was equally delicious. The coffee ice cream was wonderful and was given to us in three scoops. The owner was a jokester and joked, two for the madam so the monsieur can have one. On a side note, the owners have an awesome dog that we had the pleasure to see and say hello to as they were about to take him on a walk. Anyway, highly recommended place to eat!

We had the most memorable dinner with friends in this quaint little restaurant! The food was delicious- go with the owners recommendations! We felt so welcomed and just enjoyed the whole experience!

I visited here based on Yelp reviews, and was not disappointed. The food was very good, and the service was fast and attentive. Thibault was my server, he was friendly and welcoming (something I don't always experience as a non-French-speaking American in Paris) and gave me a great window table. He explained the specials on the menu and made a good wine recommendation. Italian music played quietly in the background. Highly recommend.

When we told the server that there was a rat all he said was "this is Paris" we asked if he could move it and he said "no, this is Paris don't worry." If it was just Paris we wouldn't have had other parisians in the restaurant being freaked out about. I get it we are Americans and aren't used to it, but not even putting the rat outside after we asked them to is awful. We stayed at the restaurant although we shouldn't have. The food took an hour and a half to come out, and the server was pretty awful. Typical for Paris but even worse than usual. The prices were outrageous and the food did not taste good whatsoever. Highly don't recommend this place if you value a good atmosphere without eating next to rats.

Although delicious, I was definitely expecting more for a restaurant with a Michelin star. It was just, simple. -experience was okay. We loved the service, attentive, friendly, answering lots of questions. Good wine list. Overall, somewhat expensive, but it's Paris. The carpaccio of beef was great as was the spinach ravioli with truffles. The only "miss" here was that the black truffles seemed to lack power and flavor which they sometimes do. I am not a truffle expert, but sometimes they pack a lot of very good punch and sometimes you can barely taste them, and in this case it was the latter. Feel like we got head-faked into the truffle menu and might have been better off on the regular one. Suggest: smell the truffles when they show them to you and if it's not fairly overpowering, then don't order. The bellinis were fanastic on the other hand. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I want a fancy Italian meal not far from the Champs Elyseees.

They were closed the following day (Sunday) so we were somewhat surprised to be greeted warmly and shown to a table which they made up for us. We were given a couple of menus, and told by our waiter in a nice way that the clock was ticking for the kitchen so we quickly chose a couple of pizzas and a bottle of wine. Having worked in kitchens before, I know first hand that latecomers are not the most welcome by the kitchen staff when they are trying to clean up and get out to enjoy their evening and the following day off. The food was wonderful, pizza dough was crispy, the toppings fresh in spite of the late hour, and the wine was excellent. Now the prices we have come to recognize in our first few days in Paris are pretty steep relative to Vancouver, which is saying something, but we feel we got our monies worth. One thing to remember in France when using a credit card is that you cannot add a tip on the machine, so bring cash with you to tip. If you add it to the bill on the machine the establishment gets the money not the person who waited upon you. Cash goes to them and them alone. We are leaving Paris in the morning and heading back to Fenice again this evening, a little earlier this time to enjoy their fine food one more time. Highly recommended from our first experience, here's hoping for a repeat. Bon appetit! VISIT #2 Ate here a second time while in Paris and were surprised that we were recognized upon our arrival and once again seated at the same table we had had a couple of evenings prior. I can only say that our second experience was even better than our first. Our food was outstanding, the service first class. We only wish we had more nights in Paris to sample more of the menu.

The restaurant did not disappoint. After delicious starters of eggplant, rocket and Parma ham we enjoyed scrumptious mains with veal, beef medallions, lamb and rhombus pasta all thoroughly enjoyed. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable with a nice ambiance from other guests. I can highly recommend this restaurant.
