Great pasta. Good ambience and service. Quiet, small and unassuming but very good. Price was reasonable

We came here for dinner since it was right across the street from our hotel. As soon as we sat down we thought everything was fine until a rat showed up right next to us by our feet. When we told the server that there was a rat all he said was "this is Paris" we asked if he could move it and he said "no, this is Paris don't worry." If it was just Paris we wouldn't have had other parisians in the restaurant being freaked out about. I get it we are Americans and aren't used to it, but not even putting the rat outside after we asked them to is awful. We stayed at the restaurant although we shouldn't have. The food took an hour and a half to come out, and the server was pretty awful. Typical for Paris but even worse than usual. The prices were outrageous and the food did not taste good whatsoever. Highly don't recommend this place if you value a good atmosphere without eating next to rats. French translation: Nous sommes venus dîner dans ce restaurant, situé juste en face de notre hôtel. À peine installés, tout semblait aller bien jusqu'à ce qu'un rat apparaisse à nos pieds. Lorsque nous l'avons signalé au serveur, il s'est contenté de répondre : " Ici, c'est Paris. " Nous lui avons demandé de le déplacer, et il a rétorqué : " Non, c'est Paris, ne vous inquiétez pas." Si c'était un rat typiquement parisien, les autres clients du restaurant ne s'en seraient pas inquiétés. Decent food, we had the avocado and prosciutto on focaccia which was tasty but my Lemoncello spritz was completely watered down and service was super rude, we were sat next to the cash register despite other tables being open and the server constantly ran into my chair and then shook us down for a tip as Americans. Did not ask Parisians for a tip. read more

Came here for dinner our last night in Paris on 4/2/24 because it was close to our hotel, we weren't that hungry but know they had pizza which is something we could share. Our server; a waiter was great, very attentive. He accidentally brought out the wrong pizza for us and set it on our table. We let him know and it ended up on the next table. Of the 2 pizzas he did bring out that we ordered, 1 had peppers on it and we requested no peppers. He apologized, took it back to the kitchen and went outside to get the cook who was having a smoke. The cook came back, and a few minutes later the pie came back, with almost all the peppers picked off. We stayed at Hotel Keppler and I saw the doorman/bag attendant come in a couple times to get food orders for guests at the hotel. The ambience is nice, clean decor, kind of spacious and open for Paris. This is an Italian place so the have a few pic of Sophia Loren on the walls, and who doesn't like Sophia Loren? It you are looking for pizzas in Paris and are in this neighborhood, this is a good choice. read more

3.5/5 located near our hotel and we didn't want to wait in line anywhere else, so we went to Villa Sophia as they did not have any wait times. We probably should have ordered a pizza as that is what everyone seemed to order. We ordered 2 pasta dishes, one being a chicken alfredo style with penne and one chicken Milanese with rigatoni. The chicken alfredo was slightly dry and it was hard to find pieces of chicken. The Milanese wasn't bad at all. Service was ok and he spoke English. read more

This was my first time in Paris, and on our first day, my family and I stumbled upon "Villa Sophia" while exploring the city. Throughout the week, we tried many restaurants, but none satisfied us with their food or service--until we found Villa Sophia. We ended up dining there three times. The food is absolutely incredible! The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful and authentic, adding to the overall experience. For the best service, be sure to ask for Tomas. He made our dining experience truly special, remembering all our names and greeting us with genuine happiness. I'll definitely return to Paris just to eat at Villa Sophia and see Tomas again. Very lovely restaurant. They tried their best to understand english. The food was great. The service was quick. I had the penne pasta, was delicious. My husband enjoyed his steak. The restaurant seems clean. They have indoor and outdoor seating. As someone who really doesn't enjoy most of the foods in France, this would probably be on the top of my list for restaurants in France. read more

When you step into this restaurant, you might think it's owned by actress Sophia Lauren. There are gorgeous photos of her throughout the restaurant on the walls. But later we found out that the owner was just inspired by her and opened this restaurant. It's amazing Italian food. We dined here in a last minute decision while walking past it. The restaurant is set up gorgeously inside with rich colors, exquisite paintings and photos. We ordered vegetarian pizza and a entree of creamy ravioli. Both dishes were excellent in taste and preparation. If you are craving some Italian food in Paris, stop here. It's walking distance from Champs-Elysées. They do accept walk-ins as well as have a reservation system. They were open until 11PM which helped because we dined here after 10.~ read more

Lovely neighborhood styled French/Italian restaurant, fabulous waitstaff, fantastic food and the best prices we've found anywhere near the Champs de ellyses. The gnocchi is the real thing, linguine is lovely... and the steak! OMG... best little Gorgonzola filet we have found in Paris! Good wine selection. Dessert must haves are the Tour de Pisa and the Panna Cotta with fresh raspberry sauce. Grappa or Espresso after dinner are just the right touch. Villa Sophia is one of the best Italian restaurants in Paris. Inspired by the actress Sophia Lauren who's pictures are all over the restaurant. We went there on a Monday evening and were able to get a table without reservation. The restaurant has great decor and service to match. Employees are extremely nice and very helpful in understanding the menu. We ordered the vegetarian pizza and the spinach ravioli and both were excellent in presentation and taste. Paris has some of the best restaurants and there is a reason tourists keep going there. The man seating tables on 3/5/24 was absolutely horrible. He had the biggest attitude after we asked to keep our small bag with us at the table and not by the front door where he commanded we left it. We explained that we had expensive camera equipment with us and he proceeded to tell us his restaurant was worth 11 million euros. He had no choice but to leave and eat at the lovely restaurant across the street. I normally love a sassy man but his reaction was unprofessional, uncalled for, and over the top. The food was okay but nothing out of this world it took longer than expected to get the food we only wanted a side salad they said that wasn't an option so we had to order a salad and a pizza. read more

The food here was fine, but my review is specifically about the overpriced water. We were asked if we wanted still or sparkling. We said still, thinking it was going to be tap or a decently priced bottle of water. At the end of our meal we find out that we just paid $10 for a liter of water. It is located on a quieter street off the Champs-Elysées. We had calamari and caprese salad as starters and both were delicious. The crust on the pizza is so light and airy. The margarita and the parme pizzas were delicious. We also ordered a seafood linguine and it had plenty of seafood. One only mistake turned out to be asking for gnocchi with arrabiata sauce. We asked for a sauce that was different than what the dish normally comes with and the sauce was not good. It has a weird smoky flavor that overpowered the entire dish. We weren't having good luck at restaurants in Paris. The food wasn't as amazing as everyone said. They want you to eat bread with bread(and coffee and cigarettes). We were walking from L'Arc d'Triomphe and found Villa Sophia. We had the BEST food of our trip there! Their menu had some English on it which helped. My guy had spaghetti with clams that he wolfed. I had Gnocchi with a red sauce that was deliciously cheesy and garlicky. Friendly staff, seats away from the outdoor smokers(which are at EVERY cafe in Paris) and great wifi! read more

As we were walking to go to the Eiffel Tower we saw people eating pasta and decided we need to come back. Sure enough same night at 10pm was arrived and they seated us. Such a quaint, but unexpected find near the heart of Paris. Adored the staff, who suggested various types of wine in an attempt to help my friends and I find the one that best matched our liking. I ordered the ravioli and was pleasantly surprised at how generous the portion size was, as many other restaurants tend to skimp on this.
