Since moving to the DMV I have been trying to get out more and explore. I wanted to try this place…read morefor so long and just finally had my first experience. I want to kick myself for letting it take this long. It is always so vibrant here, tons of people coming and going. Ample parking, both on and off street. A bunch of outside seating and just a crowd that is happy to be here. Then, inside, get ready for a sensory overload. All the aromas from all the different stalls will make you second guess where you will grab some grub. Then you might also want to graze...err, I mean browse on what to take home. I love exploring this place. I wandered around for quite some time until I zeroed in on where to eat. Even though this place is always so busy, it feels intimate enough to be alone in a sea of people. With that, I give you review 4400!

Union Market has been a highlight of my DC trip! Such an awesome little space with tons of…read moreexcellent food vendors to choose from. We decided to do our own little food tour within the market and sample some bites from a few stalls. We tried: 1. Masala dosa from Sambar & Spice. This may have been one of the best dosas I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. So epic! A must try, 2. Chicken dumplings from Laobun - soft, freshly prepared and melt in your mouth good. Also affordable! 3. Fish tacos from the famous seafood spot. These were sadly my least favorite item on our little food tour, the slaw was overpowering but if removed the pan seared fish was flavorless. 4. Wrapped up with some matcha and iced coffee - can't go wrong with those. Enjoyed browsing the little artisan stalls as well. An amazing stop on my trip to DC!

Disgusting . I thought this was going to be similar to the one in Chicago, the Balloon Museum, but…read moreit was nowhere near that level. For the look and quality of this place, the tickets should honestly be free. Every room felt extremely cheaply made and poorly maintained. The bubble room didn't even have the bubble machines working when we went. The ball pit room smelled like rancid kids' feet and just felt dirty overall. The entire building felt cheap and underwhelming. It was a complete waste of our money and time, and we were in and out within 25 minutes. I absolutely do NOT recommend this place. Extremely embarrassing for an attraction that charges people to come experience it.

This time it was a completely different experience and very obvious that staff and management have completely failed to upkeep the venue. My partner as well as our 4 children attended on Friday. From the moment we entered we realized they did not have working AC, and keep in mind it was 95 degrees on Friday. The carpets and flooring was absolutely disgusting with stains all throughout. Multiple exhibits were closed for maintenance and the bubbles at the end did not work. The cubbies for the shoes by the ball put contained tons of trash etc. restrooms were filthy and obviously no bathroom checks were taking place. I honestly didn't even want our kids going in the ball pit because of how nasty the entire venue was. We also saw in three separate exhibits that there was feces on the floor. I notified staff who seemed to have no clue. At this point we took the kids and left. Please don't be fooled by the instagram pictures, this place is filthy and not worth the money.

I Was Craving Pizza & Wanted To Try Something Different For Once. I've Been Hearing About This Spot…read moreFor Years But Never Actually Went... Until Now. Today Was The Day. Street Parking Only & It's Definitely Hit Or Miss. I Got Lucky & Found A Spot, But It Is Metered So Be Prepared To Pay. This Spot Is Literally A "Side Door" Located On The Side Of Scarlet Oak. Super Unique Setup With Cool Lights That Make It Easy To Spot. It's Different From Your Typical Pizza Place, Which I Actually Liked. Since It Was Monday, They Had Half-Off Pizzas If You Dine In & I Had To Take Advantage Of That. CHEESE PIZZA I Ordered A Cheese Pizza & Lemon Water. This Is Detroit-Style Pizza, So Don't Expect New York Style. It's Thick, With A Generous Amount Of Mozzarella Cheese & Tomato Sauce. Honestly, It Almost Felt Like A Cheesy Bread Situation But In A Good Way. The Crust Was Buttery With A Slight Crisp On The Outside & Soft Inside, Which Was The Perfect Balance. The Ingredients Tasted Fresh, & It Was Very Filling. The Size I Got Came With 4 Slices, & Honestly, 2 Slices Was More Than Enough. I'd Definitely Come Back & Bring My Son This Feels Like A Spot He'd Love, Especially If He's Into Breadsticks & Cheesy Pizza. The Staff Was Decent, Though I Didn't Interact Much. The Overall Setup Is Interesting, A Full Restaurant Vibe Inside With This Separate Pizza Concept On The Side. Different, But It Works. I'm Glad I Finally Tried It, Unique Setup, Solid Detroit-Style Pizza, & A Great Deal If You Catch It On The Right Day. Just Have To Be In The Mood For Detroit-Style Pizza.

Once we found Side Door Pizza on Yelp and read all the reviews we were sold. It was a quick walk from our hotel and we got take out. We enjoyed our pizza from our hotel (they really only have take out and dine outside). The pizza was so good we contemplated getting it a 2nd on our way out as a lunch on the road.
