Went here a few days ago for the foot reflexology. In a sentence: the guy who was assigned me did not know what he was doing. He did no pressure points, and he basically just rubbed the insole area of my feet and lower legs! He never touched my toes and it was an inconsistent process. He did one thing to one foot, and then failed to follow the same routine on the other foot. It makes me wonder if he even had a license(?!) I just got done getting a massage with Sarah and it was amazing! I have a lot of knots on my shoulders and traps and she really worked hard to get them out. Her massage technique was smooth. The place is clean, decorated nicely and everyone was friendly. 1 hour full body massage is $55 definitely worth every penny!! I found my new fave massage spot! My husband and I tried this place out last weekend based on the reviews, and wow! We both requested a sixty minute deep tissue massage and shared a room while we had the massages. I am slightly embarrassed I did not grab the names of the masseuses we worked with, but let me just say the massage was the best I've ever bad by far out of three I've had and my husband loved his too. Some places do super light pressure which is not what I'm looking for in a deep tissue massage, and the man who did mine definitely worked some massive knots out of my back and shoulders that I didn't even realize were there. First time coming here but I will definitely come back. I got a thirty minute food massage which included a hot water soak and a fantastic full body massage included. Annie helped me today a d was very hospitable. I wrote down her name so I could ask for her next time. The facility has a welcoming and soothing ambiance, smells nice, and it is t cold inside. Sub par/average massage, they were pretty rough. I got a Groupon and the Groupon price ended up being more than the normal price of a 60 minute massage. It said it came with hot stones and that why it was more expensive but there were no hot stones. The receptionist basically asked for a larger tip too which was awkward. Wasn't worth the price, probably won't go back (To the below comment- the price of a single person massage on Groupon was $20 more than just a standard 60 minute massage normal priced, so yes it was not a good deal. I gave important areas that bothered me the most to focus on and same for my husband the masseuse I had dropped a hot stone on my head and missed the important areas I asked him to focus on. The staff was great at confirming my requests for the massage beforehand and would repeat back to me what they heard which made me feel comfortable that I was being understood and could relax knowing I was being taken care of. I don't understand why all the 5 star reviews for this place. We went for a couple's massage. They didn't ask us what kind of massage we wanted or what areas we needed worked on. The beds were crazy uncomfortable and the only thing we got to cover ourselves with was a thin sheet that looks like a woman's dress. It is a pretty no-frills place but the massage therapist (I didn't get his name unfortunately) did an amazing job and spent extra time on the knots in my back and shoulders which was sooo appreciated. I'm really picky about massages and like quite firm pressure, and this was spot on. Plus, bonus hot stones and a hydrating facial mask! I also really appreciated that the masseuse went out of his way to keep my hair out of the lotion/oil, covering it with a towel and drying his hands before he massaged my scalp. So don't be deceived by the basic exterior! It felt clean and relaxing inside, and they had some chill music on which is always appreciated. So if you are looking for fluffy robes and rose water, stick with the swanky places that charge a fortune for typically subpar services. Booked a Groupon here and really enjoyed our experience. The staff was very nice and really provided some fantastic massages. I would highly recommend the hot stone massage, that's the way to go! I would also recommend the 30 min foot massage to couple with a full body massage. The male masseur that I had really dug in, so if you want a light or gingerly massage, you'll have to communicate that otherwise be prepared for intensity! I received a flyer in the mail for their $35 one hour long massages. Life is incredibly stressful these days, so I gave it a shot. A few things were a little weird to me: I didn't have to fill out any paperwork, they put me in the big room with several tables inside...then I was confused by which towel to cover up with...BUT...then the massage therapist came in and got to work...and I no longer cared...about anything actually. Haha! I like REALLY deep pressure massages. In fact, I've been to several other places where they just couldn't do it hard enough and I left disappointed. Update on my previous post: After my first massage at Vila there was *marked* improvement on the left side of my upper back. All stinging disappeared, with just a mild sensation of sprain remaining. I decided to return yesterday for another treatment to (hopefully) get some more improvement, and feel as though I have. We tried this place a few times after referred by family and also tired of driving all the way to SD for our favorite Thai massage place. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The place is well kept and clean. We had the 60 minutes full body couples massage in a private room. We both prefer firm pressure massages so we requested to have males. My husband had Daniel and I had Mike. I am very picky with my massages since they usually don't apply enough pressure or get the right spots, but mannn Mike was AMAZING! He was very conscientious and kept asking if the firmness was ok throughout the session, got rid of all my knots and took care of my shoulder/back pain. Better to make an appointment ahead of time even for the same day. That way you can request if you prefer male/female and not run in if they are short staffed.
