NAH! We live 6mins away from this place and wanted to get a massage after a week long trip. Called and was quoted a diff price for a couple massage. I dont understand the inconsistent pricing they give you, why cant u guys give the pricing right? And YES THEY DO DEMAND FOR A TIP, in a weird and unprofessional way. Please go somewhere else. The massage we got was just MEH. We are long time customers in Vila Massage in Oceanside and was just too tired to drive 15 more mins, wish we stayed in Vila Massage. Been coming to Melrose Spa for years. I have had massages at four star hotels that don't hold a candle to what the ladies here can do. Good massage. I've been coming here for a couple years and it's been a couple months since I've been back, my only issue is tipping. I can't always leave a big tip and they will let you know if they don't agree with it. When I left a five dollar tip, the lady said out loud that's it. lol yep, that's it on top of the $55 I'm not rich, but when I can, I will leave a bigger tip. Goodness, where to begin. First of all scheduling is fine, but the quality of the massages could be much better. My husband and I booked a 90 minute couples deep tissue massage on a Friday afternoon, and were immediately placed in a separate room. Odd. Once the massage gets started I get smacked, pinched and grabbed the entire time. I'm not a masseuse but deep tissue involves taking out the knots with more than slapping your neck and using and elbow. Could not wait for it to be over. read more

They always so nice here! The prices are reasonable, the place is clean, and everyone exhibits extremely friendly customer service skills. I've had foot massages and full table massages and while I've had more therapeutic style massage table style, they do amazing work at the foot massage chairs. I took one star off for it being kind of noisy in the hallway a lot, as well as ambient noise from the business next door, and also because sometimes the massage therapists English speaking g skills are very rudimentary, which makes communication very difficult. read more

Got to say it was an experience. The massage was a little rough, more pinching my skin and massaging bones rather than massaging the muscle groups. They played no relaxing music so you could hear all the noise from the restaurant next door and I'm positive there was some serious moaning from the neighboring massage room. It was a strange experience, one I'm sad I paid for. Guess I should have asked for what the guest in the next room was having! The massage therapist also answered the phone three times during the massage and walked out into the lobby to sell a customer an hour long massage gift certificate... all while I'm paying for an hour massage!!!! One of my favorite massage places! People are friendly and massage is relaxing. Only con I can think of is you can sometimes smell the food in the restaurant next door, but it's not overpowering. I usually get a 90 minute massage bc it takes a while for me to relax, but last time I was there I tried a 4-hands massage and it was fantastic! I am new to the area, so I was trying this spa for the first time. It's in a nice shopping center, and the facility is clean. That being said, there is no ambiance. I am used to some low lights, a fountain, serene music, and lovely smells. I asked for a 30-minute, ABOVE THE WAIST massage. Right off, she tried to get me to do more by saying 30 minutes might not be enough. I said that's all I wanted today. The table was uncomfortable, and there was no hole for my face-it was claustrophobic. The spa I used to go to had a separate piece for the head so you could breathe. She started the massage below my waist-buttocks to be precise. I had to remind her above the waist, and she said "Just a minute, you'll see". I didn't see as she did not explain her method. Finally got up to the upper back where I had pointed out my issue, but she did not spend enough time there after her detour. I also did not like the unscented massage oil-lavender is so relaxing. Like many of the previous reviews, if you're looking for aesthetics in terms of the look and feel of the place, then this may not be the place for you. If you're looking for some serious reflexology or even full body massage that happens to be cost effective, then definitely give this place a try. Call before you go, to assure they have enough people; however I've also stopped by in a pinch and was able to get in pretty quickly too. Yes, the smell of the Thai restaurant and Oggi's is present when the doors are open. But once you get back to the treatment area, that pretty much dissipates. Also, I didn't feel bothered by the noise of the adjacent building either. People are friendly, they adjust their pressure based on your needs and overall will be back again! read more

They did a wonderful job with the massage. However, I asked for a 60 minute massage and they went over on time without asking me and proceeded to charge me for a 90 minute massage without my consent. They have also done this to my Fiancé.. so it's a seemingly common occurrence. If you're okay with that being done to you, by all means go here... they do a great job. read more

Look guys, this isn't the spa at the Omni. It's bare bones and no frills. The smell from Thai One On next door lingers in the massage room and when the music cuts out you can hear whatever the nail place next door is playing. The foot "reflexology" is completely indistinguishable from a foot massage. But HELLO it's $25 for AN HOUR. They can spend the whole hour on those tired feet of yours or you can opt for head/neck/arms too. They do a great job and are sweet and accommodating. Make an appointment accepting the fact that you're going there for the massage, not the ambiance, and you won't be disappointed. Good luck finding a better deal than that around here. read more

The spa is always very clean and comfortable. Everyone that works here is amazing. Always Kind and friendly. My massage therapist of choice is Nancy aka magic hands. I carry a lot of tightness in my muscles from stress and I always leave the spa feeling amazing and relaxed. I have had a few other therapists massage me there as well. Update review: so my first experience was the best experience but I was so happy that I reviewed this place too soon. I came back 4 times after my first expecting the same massage and just wasn't the same. Twice I made an appointment with Amy and she would check me in and not give me a massage. She would say someone else will do it. I responded back "but I booked with you" and just ignored it. Last time I booked a couples massage and my husband hated it and so did I. Ok, let me preface my review by saying I am a complete wuss when it comes to getting massages. I ask for very light pressure wherever I go, but somehow always end up feeling like I'm fighting with the masseuse. Not here. I asked for a simple chair massage for just my neck and shoulders (particularly my shoulders) and Lucy handled me with care. My right shoulder has been hurting for a few days and she rubbed out all the soreness, without hurting my delicate self. I originally asked for only a 15 minute massage and ended up extending it to 30 minutes. $1 per minute. Although the chair that you get massaged on is located right by the front entrance and is the kind that you see in the middle of the mall, it was all that I needed. No glitz. No glam. I've been to this place 3 times in the past week! First time was for a pinched nerve that wouldn't allow me to turn my head right! They worked it right out after a chair massage at the end. Went back 2 more times and they are AWESOME! I highly reccomend if you've been to Thailand and know what a real massage feels like, these ladies are the closest thing in The US! The staff took very good care of my mother and me a few weeks ago. My mother is 78 and has two injured shoulders that cannot be moved much. I set her up for a foot massage but since my massage was a full body, the manager took care of my mom and massaged her head neck and shoulders in the chair very carefully. My mother was a masseuse in the 1960's but had never had a massage. She loved it and wants to go back. The lady who worked on me was highly skilled. I have been to this spa many times as well as many other places for a massage and their skills and care can go up against any other place. The spa is clean and serene inside. I didn't realize I had so much stress built up, but my massage therapist really took time to take care of the muscles that were holding stress. My qi feels restored, realigned, and harmonized again. I've been going here for years. Way back when the price was 25/hr for a foot massage. (Today they charged me 50) Always did an amazing job. Today my worst nightmare came true and I can no longer support this business. The last 10 minutes of my massage I heard intense moaning from the room next door. Not oh that massage felt good moans but INTENSE MOANING that could not be mistaken. It was the most uncomfortable experience of my life. My heart hurts that there are men and woman that subject themselves to this behavior. No doubt the business is hurting which it why I kept going and always tipped well. I guess it makes sense since the place is always empty and there are never any employees there. They have to pay the bills somehow. This will probably get deleted but I hope it will make you think twice Amy about the type of business you run and the impact you want to have in this life. The masseuses seem better than most and it's often easy to get in here. Taking off a star because water and room not hot/warm and they answer the phone while giving massage. I can see where that could keep costs down but $35-$40/60 min foot/reflexology is mid-range for that and most others don't answer phone while working. The experience and results were grade A+! We went in for a one hour foot massage and got right in (it was a Friday night at 8:00). Nice big clean recliner chairs and soft music playing in the back ground. You don't have to remove your clothing for the foot massage which makes sense to me. They massage right over your clothes (neck, shoulders, arms) while your feet soak. The foot massage was awesome too. Just the right amount of pressure. Best experience for a reflexology massage! We were able to call an hour ahead and make an appointment for two. The place was extremely clean and very comfortable. The massage was one hour with the most comfortable chairs. Comfort comfort comfort is key for me!
