Went in for a massage tonight after calling in to make an appointment. I've been here once before, so I knew it isn't any sort of magnificent place but I've been in so much pain I just needed a quick massage. Pay before service type of establishment. Went to give my debit card and they wanted to charge an extra $5. I said no I won't pay that I'll go get cash. Confirmed the price for the atm withdrawal, came back and handed her $100 bill expecting my service was going to be $90. She hands me a $5 bill back. I asked her why she wasn't giving me the full change ($10) back and she said sorry price just went up. Asked her why again and she just told me it was going to be $95 and just said prices went up and the owners haven't updated the website. Asked for my money back and walked out. The lady had me pay cash in advance, which was my first warning sign to leave. When I asked for change for a $20 to tip in the end she acted like she didn't understand and I just told her to keep it. During the massage she left the room twice to answer the front door and answered the phone right next to me (during the massage) yelling at someone on the other end! I bought my wife a gift card for a 1 hour massage and upon arrival my wife was told she should " upgrade". The issue I have is the pressure to tip. We tip well at 15 to 20% but they INSIST on a standard $20 to $25 tip regardless if 20% falls below $20! It is RUDE and they should not make such demands on customers. Never again! read more

My husband and I came in for a couples massage. We called ahead and asked if they had time for one, they told us to come in so we did. When we walked in the lady at the front desk was very warm and welcoming. Before she took us back she asked us which massage we wanted and showed us the menu. We selected the 60 minute massage, she asked if we wanted deep pressure and let us know it would be an additional 10. My husband opted in for it, I went with the basic as I can't handle the deep pressure. She took us both back and the room was nice and clean, there was a space heater to help warm up the room. I can't write much about the massage as I was so relaxed I can't remember much which says a lot! I literally felt like I was on cloud 9. My lady knew the right amount of pressure to use and was very focused on getting out the knots she found. After the massage she made sure to ask us how we liked it and if we were happy. We let her know we were and we would definitely be coming back. This is a hidden gem that I am happy we stumbled upon! I don't think I have ever left a massage so relaxed before. 10/10 would recommend if you are in need of a good massage. read more

The hidden gem of north county should be the name of this place because it truly is a treasure. I was tempted not to write this review because it's been our best kept secret and I fear it gaining popularity but sometimes you gotta make a sacrifice and share the goodness with everyone. In all seriousness, this place is awesome. The staff are always super sweet, hard working and happy to see you. They allow walk ins, which is how we first discovered this hole in the wall parlor, but you can make appointments as well. My go to is their reflexology massage. You won't get a better massage for the price anywhere else. Trust me when I tell you I've been to almost all the massage places in North County and this one is gold. If you're looking for a spa like you'd find at the Ritz, this ain't it. But if you can not judge a book by it's cover, than I can promise you that you will walk away feeling phenomenal and it won't break the bank. I truly cannot say enough good things about them. I didn't know they had added a table shower! I don't know if the $20 dollars is worth it,$10 would have been better since it's only like 4 minutes or so. Amy wasn't there this time but Sunny helped me, I asked for a Swedish massage and I would say it was about 8.7 out of 10 but she was friendly and kept asking if the pressure was good. The price did go up as well it use to be $80 dollars for 90 minutes now it's $90 dollars, so might have to go down to the 60 minutes for $70 dollars. read more

went here after playing golf to help with my lower back the lady and the front desk gave me a couple option she thought would help so I took the 60 minute massage and hot stone treatment. The young lady walked me back to the room, the room, towels and table sheets all smelled and looked freshly washed. The young lady gave a very relaxing massage and the hot stones did a wonderful job on the lower back. This will be my Sunday stop after golf, I felt great on Monday with no lower back issues. The massage was so basic, I get massages every two weeks, decided to check out this spot because it was closer. But never again, there was so music playing, you could heard the guy breathing in the silence. He was so uneven, used different amount of pressure on both sides of the body, it felt weird. I always tip good at my usually spot but this place makes you tip $10/20/30 depends on the massage you get. They also don't accept AMEX. $2 charge on Visa cards. read more

It was my first time at this location. (Certainly not my first massage!) I called this afternoon and was very excited that I could get in the same day. I scheduled an appointment for a 30 minute foot massage and a 60 minute full body massage for one person. I explained this twice over the phone to the lady who didn't even take my name. I explained what I wanted again two more times upon arrival just to make sure. She repeated it back to me. Once on the table I pointed out a very troublesome area, one of the two reasons for me making this appointment. She told me "Don't worry". While the massage itself was not bad, no extra time was spent on that troublesome area. And I got a 60 minute massage. It was not full body as my arms were barely touched, nor was my face, head, chest or anything while I was face up. And no 30 minute foot massage. Without a word. I decided not to even ask again at this point. At least I wasn't charged for it. However when I was paying she had the nerve to tell me I should tip more than what I said I was going to give! A tip is an extra gratitude, not a given! And I did not get what I asked for. I was appalled! I have an extra tip telling myself it was for being able to get me in on short notice. read more

Went to Eden Med Spa over the weekend and the massage was on point. The masseuse even tended to my request of focusing on my shoulders as it has been tense over the past few weeks. Why the two stars? Customer service at the very end. The man at the front counter was surprised at how much I tipped. I always pay cash for a massage plus tip. It seems that he was forcing me to tip more and had a smirk on his face at the same. Then a lady from the back office (I assume the owner/manager) stepped out and was expecting more. Maybe they saw the cash in my wallet?...I don't know. I have NEVER experienced this with any other massage business in my entire life. I didn't confront them because that's not how I roll. I just told them that I tip according to the service I receive, yet I guess they expect more. I just left and thanked them for the massage. My shoulders felt great, but I was displeased with customer service. Will I return to this business? It's 50/50 for me. Definitely for the massage. Hopefully the management will take this and any similar reviews as a lessons learned and opportunity for improvement. read more
