Impossible to explain what an amazing experience this was. It wasn't easy to get my first deep tissue myofascial massage work done at 67. But that was what I asked for, and what the surgeon and I agreed needed to be done! The bodywork was intense but it was WELL WORTH the result. Carlos is a miracle worker! I have had chronic severe sciatic pain for years. I tried 5 massage therapists before I finally found Carlos. In 1 session, my pain went away after the massage. It did come back due to bad posture and weak muscles but each time it's less than before. Over time it has gotten a lot better. Carlos is one of the most skilled therapists I've worked with. He knows how to work with the papas muscles which is in a weird spot and hard to deal with. Many people have psoas issues due to sitting at a desk all day. He was able to manipulate the muscles in a nice way and release them and alleviate my tightness and pain! Absolutely recommend!! If a massage is good, I normally fall asleep. But the massage I got from Carlos was so good that I didn't want to fall asleep bc I wanted to make sure I stayed awake to enjoy every single minute of it. I just had a great 90 minute massage. I purchased a Groupon after looking at the Yelp reviews for Carlos. It's a bit tricky to find but he spells it out in a confirmation text prior to your appointment. When you arrive you fill out a standard questionnaire and he asks you what kind of massage and the pressure level you like. I'm a deep tissue person. You go into a nicely decorated little room and lay on the table. It was the perfect pressure not soft but not painful for deep tissue. He will also adjust it if you want more or less. You don't realize just how tense you are until you get a massage. He works on your your tight spots until you feel like Jell-O.. for me it was mostly my low back and neck & shoulders. I just had one of the best massages ever. It is really difficult to find someone who truly does great tissue massage. I have searched everywhere, and I think I have finally found my place! This place is located in a commercial area and can be tricky to find. Carlos, the massage therapist is amazing. He really takes the time to work and focus on your areas of concern. I told him to just focus on upper body, neck and arms. He is able to read your body and understand the perfect pressure and get right to your areas of tension. Setting up an appointment was very easy (got in the next day from the time I called) and Carlos sent me a reminder text with directions, which I appreciated. Upon arriving, Carlos discussed my areas of concern and had me fill out a short form. He was very polite and professional and encouraged me to speak up about the pressure during the massage (I didn't need to though since it was great and relaxing). The decor of the massage room is homey and pleasant with obvious attention to detail. I really enjoyed the heat pad on the bed too!
