Kat gave me a great massage! She's very nice and knows what she's doing. I have several medical issues that make getting a massage difficult and those needs weren't fully met. I was left waiting laying on the table (which for me I really can't have "down time") more pressure would have been nice even though I asked it wasn't done. At the end of the day I still left in pain just not as much as I do if I get a massage that's 1/4-1/3 the price. I'd rather save my money and get the cheaper massage. was a little uneasy about going to her home for a massage but as it turned out, as is so often the case, i was wrong. immediately felt comfortable. KATHERINE is one of those very few people i meet and intuitively trust and trust's important in body work. if i feel tense and guarded, if i don't allow myself be vulnerable, the experience is not going to be relaxing which is pretty much the point. KATHERINE was gracious enough to set aside a huge block so the whole crew could get worked. JODI, the wife-unit, went first. we needed her to have enough recovery time to drive home safely -- we're a massage drunk kind of family that completely surrenders to the experience. when JODI was finished, she oozed into the poolside chair beside me and flashed a groggy thumbs up. the kids, eleven-year old JULIANA and nine-year old WYATT went next. both came out calm but giggly -- good signs. the wait proved an important transition giving me a chance to decompress from my work week (went on a friday afternoon) to down time -- even then i spent nearly the first hour checking e-mails and texts. next time i'll make a point of taking a book (i'm reading TIM DORSEY's ELECTRIC BARRACUDA) and leaving my "smart" phone in the car. KATHERINE and i visited in the kitchen for a few minutes before we started. a nice, getting to know each other interaction and a chance for her to recover between sessions. KATHERINE has good listening skills and it's important as her client that i feel comfortable talking about what i like or don't like or what's working and what's not during the process. a strong, gifted therapist, she has great instincts and does wonderful work but she's not clairvoyant. a massage is a shared experience and it's important that the body worker and workee are on the same page. she and i "worked" well together and will only get better as we get to know each other over the years. a GREAT, GREAT experience. the kids are already bugging me about next time. that, however, is not going to take much arm twisting. read more

WOW! I get between 12+ massages a year and I've been to several different therapists over the last 5+ years. I was in lower back emergency - literally could barely move - and the chiropractic visit the day prior only exacerbated my misery. Early Saturday morning, my fella was on yelp and found Katherine. I texted her and she responded nearly immediately with a time later that morning. I was elated - as elated as I could be in that much pain. I typically am quite sensitive and prefer a lighter touch; however, Katherine advised me that to try and get relief, she'd need to be a bit more "deep tissue." Her calming and healing demeanor puts you at ease and I trusted her completely. The 90 minute session went by in a blink and the oasis of the massage room as well as the vibe of the entire home provided for quite a relaxing zen experience. It was magical. When I read the reviews I was super stoked to get a massage by Katherine. When I got a massage Holy Moly she has magic in her hands! I'm a photographer so my back was beyond messed up. She did such an amazing job working out all the stiff, tight and painful areas. My neck, shoulders and back do t hurt anymore. I felt relaxed from the time I got there until the time I left. She explains thoroughly what to expect and encourages you to breathe, relax and try not to talk during your massage. I liked that!
