I went to Raelyn yesterday because I've had some health issues lately, and I heard lymphatic drainage massage would be helpful for getting toxins out of my system. I have had plenty of regular massage sessions before, but never before have I tried lymphatic massage. Raelyn was massaging my lymph areas so gently, that I initially wondered if the way she was massaging me would be productive. But by the time we were halfway through, I could feel things in my body shifting... especially in my throat where I tend to have issues because of my thyroid condition. Raelyn is excellent at what she does - I had my first massage with her yesterday. It was a fabulous 90 minute experience from start to finish. She spent time with me to understand my specific concerns and she provided so much relief to my chronic neck pain. She is incredibly respectful, allowing you the client to set the tone during the massage - in terms of talking during the experience and what areas need more attention as the massage was taking place. She tailors her message to whatever issues you are experiencing and incorporates various massage techniques and stretches. She is very intuitive and knows just what to do. I made this Yelp account to keep a journal of all the restaurants I'll visit on my road trip this summer, but my first review is for Massage Therapy with Raelyn. That should tell you something right there. A little about my background: I have had 4 herniated discs since age 11. I've had 2 surgeries and many hospitalizations. I was supposed to have a 3rd surgery 2 years ago but refused, instead opting to go to a month long rehabilitation program. I have taken everything from Ibuprofen to morphine and steroid packs. So, when I say I know my body, what feels good and is healing, and isn't, I know what I'm talking about. Raelyn helped save my life. A month before my big road trip I had the biggest flair up of radiating leg pain since 2004. I made an appointment with her the next day and well, I'm leaving for my trip at the end of the month!!!! Key points: -Her biggest asset is the personal connection she established with me instantly. She asked questions and gave feedback easily. She summed up what I told her my issues were in order to make sure we were on the same page. It wasn't just 'hello now get on the table'. And when I left, I left feeling like she truly cares what would happen to me after. -The massage room. Even though I have had to undress countless times because of my condition, there was something very comforting about how dark her room is. I mean, it is dark! The music is light, that new agey instrumental kind, and it filled the silence nicely. And best of all, NO STRONG SMELLS. I know everyone is different, and for me because I have such a keen sense of smell, strong odors (pleasant or not) can make me sick. There was no overpowering smell of oil, candles, incense, anything. Just crisp, clean smell of sheets and a light scent of flowers from potted plants. -She is very quiet during the massage, even whispering when she does speak. Even though I wasn't going to her to simply relax, that added a relaxation element to that was greatly appreciated as I was in so much pain. -It felt like she read my body like a book. Every single spot that was in pain, sore, tender, tight, she manipulated in one way or another without me having to say a word. And she also wasn't afraid to use some non-traditional massage techniques such as stretching, which turned out to be my favorite part. I haven't had that kind of help and guidance since I was at the Rehab Institute in Chicago. -She gave me amazing tips for after the massage. Most people will say 'drink a lot of water' and that's it. Of course she said this, but also gave me a tip on a homeopathic medicine that I picked up and has worked wonders, and to take Epsom salt baths. I've read many times about the benefits of Epsom salts, but sometimes it just takes that 20th time from the right person to hear it and get it, you know? Long review is long, but she deserves it. As she is someone who I know can help me take care of my self for the long term, I will definitely be going back as a regular and I suggestion you make an appointment to see her as soon as you can! If she can help me this much while I'm in pain, I can't imagine what it must be like to see her just to chill out and de-stress! Something akin to heaven, I suppose. Thank you Raelyn!!!! read more

She was by far the most popular masseuse there with a loyal following. She is so good that she is frequently sought to teach others her unique style. Recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Experiencing pain in my joints, swelling all over, and pain in my lymph nodes. Have had no relief. Went to see Raelyn & she was simply amazing!
