Just went for my first massage with Tiglat and he did such an incredible job! I am an acute care RN at a local hospital and work 12 hour shifts on my feet which takes a big toll on your body, doing a lot of walking, bending, twisting, lifting, and when I get stressed it feels like someone is twisting the right side of my neck and shoulders with a vice. I also have chronic low back pain. Tiglat was very though though not laboriously so in his assessment of my troubled areas and his appropriate strategy and treatment, and I left the appointment more relaxed, comfortable, and pain free than I have been in months. Will definitely be returning!!! Bonus: he is right around the corner from Lofty Coffee and the gorgeous Moonlight Beach in Encinitas...TREAT YO SELF! read more

Tiglat was listed as a Spafinder provider on their website. He has steadfastly refused to honor the redemption of Spafinder certificates. When I called him 4 weeks ago for an appointment he boldly stated, " the redemptions are too high". He refused to honor the business relationship signed up and agreed to honor with Spafinder. He made the scapegoat of his business decision and lack of integrity. I protested, he relented a bit and offered to call me (if he had a cancellation). I have not received a call in 4 weeks. Imagine the gall to offer me a cancellation only. Then never call! I then went to Spafinder to report the rogue provider. Here is their response, verbatim: "Subject: New Customer Service Inquiry from Customer Service Inquiries We have resolved your Case CS5084449. Please see the comments for your resolution. Resolution Notes: Hello Rick, Thank you for reaching out to Spafinder Support! First of all, we are sorry for any trouble this matter may have caused you and upon research for the spa in question, the spa is active with us, and we hope it has been only a misunderstanding with them, we have reach them to reinforce our gift card redemption process and also to share them our business contact number." I advised Spafinder there was no misunderstanding and a subsequent July 29th email to Tiglat after they supposedly resolved the "misunderstanding" went unanswered to date. By now I understood integrity and a sense of fairness was never forthcoming from Healing Ki massage. Here is the current situation and it is also verbatim from Spafinder: "Case Resolved Subject: New Customer Service Inquiry from Customer Service Inquiries We have resolved your Case CS5084449. Please see the comments for your resolution. Resolution Notes: Hello Rick, Thank you for reaching out to Spafinder Support! We sincerely apologize for any trouble this matter causes you, and our management team has been informed and the spa locations have been deactivated from our website, we recommend you looking for another participating location around and make sure to call them upfront to confirm availability and your form of payment. A case has been assigned for your request: CS5084449. Need I say more, Spafinder makes it perfectly clear who is a fault here -- Tiglat. The company name suggests the polar opposite of the way you decided to handle your responsibilities as a businessman. read more

Belated review.... went for a reflexology treatment about a month ago. Tiglat is a charming, very professional person. His space is immaculate, though small. There are two rooms, one for his massages and one for the acupuncturist who works with him. The ambience is tranquil and very relaxing. I had a reflexology treatment and I enjoyed it very much. He really stimulates those pressure points and gives a lot of energy. It is both energizing and relaxing. An hour of reflexology is very different from those quickie reflex appts in the mall. I look forward to having a full body massage in the very near future. read more

I've been a client of Tiglat for years, as a health care worker it's important to stay healthy, but muscle aches, stiffness are bound to happen. Tiglat is a true professional that practices the medicinal benefits of a massage, targets your needs based of your ailments, your work and medical conditions to massage you properly. He is patient and your body will feel completely relaxed during and after the session. He is a small, 1 man business that can be communicated via text and my husband has purchased gift certificates for me from him that he has honored and remembers! Before the pandemic he was booked out a month in advance, but as a community he deserves to be supported as a small, local business located in the white offices up the steep 1 way entrance next to the car wash. read more

I have been going to Tiglat for a number of years and he is definitely the most gifted and incredible massage therapist that I have experienced. He customizes each massage to the needs of the client and is very intuitive and undoubtedly, a natural healer. I am an avid bike rider and pickleball player and suffer extensively from tightness to muscles and tendons and Tiglat is always able to pinpoint and work on the areas needed and I always feel totally rejuvenated and stress free when done. He is kind, empathetic and professional. His new location is convenient and easily accessible. I would highly recommend him! read more

An experience of indulgence and healing. Treat yourself to the bliss of a truly exquisite massage session, tailored to your specific needs. It's therapeutic to mind, body and spirit. Tiglat is easily the most intuitive and talented massage therapist I have ever encountered. His techniques have been refined by his years of study around the world and his dedication to providing a healing and enriching experience for every single client. The atmosphere is comfortable and soothing and Tiglat doesn't chat your ear off. He finds out what you need, discusses what he will do and then he gets to work. I went in with a bad lower back spasm and sciatica problem and left with the ability to stand upright again! After weeks of the pain, I felt like he performed a miracle. I definitely recommend Healing Ki and Tiglat's talented techniques. You simply can't go wrong. Namaste read more

As I am known to be a massage therapist "snob", my highest regards go to Tiglat. His amazing and successful techniques in massage therapy leave many in the dust. He is knowledgeable, accommodating, personable, conscientious, sympathetic, and has great follow-up. He is worth at least a try. You will not be disappointed. If you need to treat yourself to something special, plese visit Tiglat! read more

Highly recommend! Taglit is incredibly good at helping customize his massages to work through problem areas. I started going to him about 9 months ago and he is now my go-to for massages. He is not only really skilled at massage therapy but he will also take the time to help explain stretches and movements I can do to help avoid knots or other pain points I am feeling. Thanks Taglit! read more

I was having horrible tension headaches and after seeing a doctor I decided I needed to try ANOTHER massage because my neck and scalp was so tight. I wanted something close by my house, relatively inexpensive and obviously someone who has massage techniques that actually make a NOTICEABLE difference! I have been to countless 5 star spas all over the world and getting a good deep tissue massage is very hit or miss. I had the most expensive massage ever at what was named "the best spa in Europe" only two weeks ago and I did not feel much better in my neck and upper back...hence the dr visit. I found Tiglat on a Friday afternoon via a quick search on yelp. His reviews were amazing, prices very reasonable and I loved the fact that he had a 30 minute massage option. When I went in he was very nice and took the time out to really listen to what my problems were with my neck. I originally requested a 30 minute custom massage to push my luck to get in that afternoon and about 15 minutes in I asked to go for a full hour! He spend the full 60 minutes on my neck and back, not even bothering with the rest of my body because he knew what I needed. He used a combination of deep tissue, reflexology, hot stone and some type of stick I could feel but couldnt see. It was awesome!!! I felt so satisfied and happy at the end of my visit. We even chatted a little bit before I left and I loved his idealogy and outlook on life. He has great positive energy and I will definitely be back and recommend to all my friends! read more

What else to say but wow? It's like when you need an operation and the surgeon is confident to the point of arrogance--you know the surgery will go well. This is Tiglat, except minus that annoying arrogance, of course! You can tell right away he is so confident, from his training to his customized massage tools, that it makes you feel instantly at ease. Like you know you are in good hands. And boy, are you ever! Not to mention he is one of the most caring and welcoming people I've ever met. I saw him for a horrible flair up of radiating leg pain due to multiple herniated discs. Usually I am very protective of my body because of this, being weary someone might do more harm than good because they don't know what they're doing. Not with him. I was completely relaxed and felt safe in his hands from the start. There was never a tense moment of 'oh no, this might hurt me'. And during a time of distress, it felt really good to see someone who not only made my pain lessen, but made me relaxed as well. All you need to do is tell him what you are there for and he will take care of the rest. I have never experienced such a thorough and deep muscle/tissue massage. I already have my next 90min appointment booked, thank you Tiglat :) read more

Tiglat is easily the best massage therapist I know. I no longer live in the area, but every time I visit, I make sure to stop by. Tiglat has exceptional technique and an ability to connect and serve every customer's unique needs. Highly recommended! read more

Tiglat is a knowledgeable, gifted therapist who studied the healing arts in Japan for a few years ---it really shows . He asks questions about your specific physical concerns and cares about the outcome. Tiglat's 90 minute signature massage combining several healing modalities has been the best I've ever had - I've had years of experiencing different massages . You pay for good quality and he is the very BEST-- word travels fast - run to see Tiglat!!! Another relaxing treat is that his location is a short block or two walking distance onto Moonlight Beach. I went to Healing Ki because of the high Yelp Reviews. So I figured, okay, let's give this a shot. Let's see if it's all that it is cut out to be. Well, here's my feedback: Tiglat is awesome. He really really cared about my well being and is so passionate about his work. He also has custom things like hot stones and bamboo which brings an entirely new experience. I also loved the heated table, and the plush memory foam table. I felt comfortable, secure, and felt good. For the last 6 months, I was holding on to a lot in my hip, which was affecting my lower back. And in just a few minutes toward the end of the massage, he really helped open that up. I booked another session with him at the end of the massage because I really think we are going to make some progress on some of the chronic pain I've been having. Thanks Tiglat! read more

Tiglat is UH-MAZING! So three years ago, I came home from school at the University of Washington and was in desperate need of a massage. I randomly came across Healing Ki Massage and booked an appointment. It was the best massage I'd ever had! I probably only get two or three a year, but I've had enough to know which ones are terrible and which ones are great. Three years later my husband and I have moved back and I immediately wanted to go back to Tiglat. He is so attentive to what you have to say when you come in and what areas are troubling you. I have had knee surgery, shoulder injuries, tendonitis, and torn ligaments in my ankle. He makes ALL the pain go away! His place is small and peaceful, right near Moonlight and when you walk in he genuinely wants to know how you are doing and what he can do to help. He uses all natural coconut oil which he scents with an essential oil of your choice. He uses heated stones and bamboo sticks to really get those sore muscles feeling better. Now that we're back I plan on being a regular here. He's such a great guy and is so good at what he does. He truly cares about his clients. read more

Tiglat is awesome. I came to him on my vacation for a relaxing massage since I needed to decompress. He did not disappoint. I left his place very happy and very relaxed, not to mention feeling much better. One other thing to mention. Tiglat truly seems to care about his clients. Since my massage was this week during the fires, the first thing he asked me when I talked to him over the phone was "Are you safe?" Amazing person. That's the sort of caring that you can't really teach people. Thank you Tiglat! read more

I went to Tiglat because a good friend gave me a gift certificate for his Signature Massage at Healing Ki. Walking into the place, I felt immediately soothed and thought, "Wow, this place is top end without being pretentious." Healing Ki is clean, understated, beautiful, and has a vibe that set my usually anxious demeanour at ease. I was greeted warmly by Tiglat, who had me fill out some paperwork (which I appreciated, because it's important for any health practitioner to know what's going on with my body and my mind). He spoke to me about which areas of my body I wanted to focus on, and what I felt I needed in terms of all-over healing. Then he explained what tools he'd be using during our massage--warmed bamboo sticks to open and soothe my muscles, hot stones, etc. He had me pick my preference of essential oils, and we got started. Tiglat has a magical touch for massage, and a genuine quality in his approach to massage. He was pleasant to talk to, but did not get overly chattty, as I highly value quiet time while getting bodywork done. I definitely recommend Tiglat and plan to go back to him. read more

Bought my girlfriend a massage for Valentines day. I found a ton of great reviews on yelp and ran down at the last minute to get a gift certificate. I called Tiglet and he was super cool and agrees to stay open until I got off work so I could pick up the certificate. He gave me the grand tour...and I was very impressed with the facility. My girlfriend was very impressed as well with the massage and the service. I would recommend to anyone. Thanks Tiglet! read more

The best pregnancy massages from one of the nicest persons ever! You know a good person when you get a hug after your first visit! I was looking for a place to get massages during my first pregnancy and chose Healing Ki based on Yelp reviews. I got a massage starting in my second trimester and every month until my daughter was born. My last massage was 4 days before she was born. Tiglat makes you very comfortable on your side with pillows and wedges on a slightly heated table. He uses coconut oil and bamboo sticks during massages. He focuses on areas that tend to bother you during certain trimesters. I always felt amazing and couldn't wait for my next massage as soon as I left each session! read more

I went to Tiglet because of the other high reviews on Yelp. I was tired of trying a new spot only to spend a lot of money, and be disappointed. This time I decided to use the Yelp community and the advice was spot on. I have had chronic pain in my neck, and back for several years. I am fairly young and active and I have been wanting to address these problems before they became conditions. I felt Tiglet listened to what I explained to him and addressed all my problem areas. He provided therapy in a fairly painless but intense style. His japanese hot stones were something I have never experienced and were amazing. His studio is clean and peaceful, right on the beach almost. I booked the 90 minute signature and he didn't short me a minute. Afterwards he took the time to talk to me and show me some stretches. I booked another one in a week. I felt like I finally found someone that might help me alleviate this physical pain and move on. I say Try this therapist! read more

I found Healing Ki though a gift certificate I had through Spafinder.com. Every other massage place in Solana Beach/Encinitas has 1-2 reviews per entry and Healing Ki had about 45 five-star reviews, so I figured that this place was definitely worth a try. As someone with chronic low back pain, I've had many massages in my day but this one was by far the best. As many people have mentioned already, Tiglat takes the time to understand your body and your pain before beginning to work on you. He has many customized tools and methods that I have never experienced before. I would recommend Healing Ki to anyone and I look forward to going back many, many times in the future. read more

This is one of those hard to write reviews because this guy is good and I selfishly would like to keep this to myself but he's much deserving of the 5 star rating. I first saw Tiglat because i threw my back out and read the amazing reviews on yelp about the hot stones and sticks and his therapeutic massage in general. He did not disappoint. He asked me if i had any problems and I described them and he began to work the pain out. It was amazing. and i mean incredible. I find Tiglat to be very professional and a true artisan in his trade. I've had massages everywhere and this guy is hands down the best experience I've ever had. read more

Tiglat is amazing... I initially found him via SpaFinder as I had received one of their gift certifcates for Christmas. I decided to try Healing Ki because it was the only one in San Diego county that received a solid FIVE STARS from EVERYONE! It was such a fantastic massage that I am now a regular customer. I highly recommend the 90 minute Signature Massage. It truly is a customized therapeutic experience. read more

I have been twice for massages and always get amazing service and honestly the best massage. I have tried many places in Encinitas (and abroad) and consider Tiglat to be among the best. He released a lot of tension and knots that I had in my back and between my shoulder blades. Tiglat uses specially made stones to warm up your muscles and help to release those tough knots. Bottom line, amazing! read more

I'm a rock climber and suffer from constant muscle tightness pretty much everywhere. Tiglat was able to pinpoint all of my issues in the first 5 minutes of my massage, and gave me a full body work over that has left me feeling totally rejuvenated. Whenever I'm in Encinitas overnight I book a massage with Tiglat. He is intuitive and talented, and clearly has a lot of training, although his technique is unlike any other I've experienced. His hands do a type of counterpoint - while one is doing active soft or deep tissue work, the other is on a pressure point or stretching tissue...like Bill Evans piano - never sure which is harmony and which is melody. I had a massage today and I can barely sense my body...no stress, no aches. read more

He didn't even look at my intake form. He starts showing me where to change and doesn't ask me to clarify anything i have written on it. So before he leaves the room I let him know that I have a few things to point out about my body -- it's a huge red flag that he doesn't initiate a consultation on a first visit. But Yelpers said he's the best and my usual gal was not available so I didn't think to put my guard up. He doesn't ask for clarification on anything I've told him about my body. So to be safe -- I reiterate to him not to touch my arms due to unresolved nerve damage and to focus on my back and legs. I have to tell him several more times during the massage not to touch my arms. I should have just left. Once a massage therapist doesn't listen there just isn't any trust. I gave him the benefit of the doubt -- I wish I hadn't. I should have asked for my money back. read more

Wow. Just, wow. I have a long history of hopping from one massage therapist to another, trying to find the one with the magic touch that can help my really, seriously, messed up neck. I went to see Tiglat after reading all of these Yelp reviews, and I am not exaggerating, he KNOWS what he is doing. When I arrived, Tiglat greeted me and made me feel at home. He asked about my presenting concerns and really listened. He also took time to explain hot stone massage to me and answer any questions. This was arguably the best 60 minutes of my life. Tension, muscle cramps, neck pain, all just melted away. The effects have lasted for a couple of weeks, and I am going again tomorrow. It is worth every penny. Since I have to have deep tissue massage to keep my neck functional (aw, darn), I am so excited to have found someone that works! Tiglat is also an extremely warm and welcoming individual, which adds a lot to the experience. YAY! read more

Yes its true... all the reviews on this guy are completely true. He's personable, professional, confirms appointments days in advance, lets you know when there is an opening, etc. I literally had to book ONE MONTH in advance to finally get this long awaited massage. I opted for the Signature massage of 75 minutes and it was so nice! He used a combination of techniques from thai massage (stretching) to hot stones to deep tissue to Swedish massage (therapeutic). He also used organic coconut oil and essential oils. Very soothing and relaxing. I had a lot of tension build up in my neck and shoulders, and he spent a lot of time getting those knots out.
