Before my massage, I filled out a questionnaire about my needs and any areas I wanted the therapist to focus on, I appreciated this. I wasn't exactly sure which massage I needed so I explained how my body was feeling and the type of pressure I preferred, and my therapist Nadia took it from there. I was lucky enough to travel to Thailand last year and experience a proper Thai massage, and ever since then I've been dreaming about finding something similar here in the States. My fiancé searched high and low for a massage for my birthday and came across Emerald Day Spa, and I'm so glad he did! This was honestly one of the best massages I've ever had in the U.S. For a split second I felt like I was back in Thailand My body was so sore and tense before I came in, and afterward I felt completely relaxed. My therapist really listened to me and worked on all of my target areas. I already feel such a difference! I also had a great conversation with Peter at the front desk about Thailand, and it was awesome to learn that he was actually from the same area I had visited. After spending several hours behind the wheel, I developed a sore back and decided to get a deep tissue massage. My wife and a family member joined me. I found Emerald Day Spa online and called for more information. Luigi, who I later learned was the owner, answered the phone and was incredibly helpful, patiently addressing all my questions and providing the information I needed. We scheduled our appointments for a couple of hours later. When we arrived, Luigi greeted us warmly and gave us the forms to fill out. These forms covered the type of massage we wanted and any health issues we might have. My wife and I opted for deep tissue massages, and while I was fine with the masseuse stepping on my back, my wife was not. We also requested to be in the same room. In the end, our rooms were adjacent, and the staff simply slid the wall between them to create one larger space. After 90 minutes of intense deep tissue massage, which at times made me want to scream due to my numerous stiff muscles, I walked out feeling relaxed and much better. The therapist seemed to find every tight muscle in my back, even some I didn't know existed, and worked through them with impressive skill. My wife, who is very particular with massages, was even happier with her massage! After our massages, Luigi welcomed us back, offered us a few pieces of chocolate while processing my credit card payment, and reminded us to stay hydrated. This was a new place I tried because it was close to my house and reasonably priced with good reviews. I had a very good massage here that was part Swedish and part Thai. It is a small clean spa with private massage rooms. I filled out a form to describe the type of massage I wanted and there was an option to not be walked on which was nice that they can accommodate different styles. My massage had some aromatherapy as well which enhanced the experience. Sander was my massage therapist and she did a wonderful job. I would definitely come back! read more

I've had a lot of massages and many Thai massages. This was a great one. The owners are kind and the masseuses are great. There is a slight language barrier with some so if you have a stiff neck you may need to say it more than several times to several people in addition to on forms but when you get past that its great. Also if you are like me and want your head not so low, they can accommode you. And when they pull you up (sitting) to do your arms, they have a fan in your direction which is wonderful. Heated " pads " also for your back and they respect areas you don't want touched. read more

So much for a "couples massage". Drove 45 minutes to be disappointed by the fact that there are couples massages. Don't accommodate two beds in one room. Where is the couples massaging that? Thai massage is second to none! Somehow the therapist found every knot in my neck and shoulders and convinced them it was best to just go. The new Emerald Day Spa is so clean and serene. They've added sound proofing, mood lighting, and Sonos speakers to all the rooms. My husband and I went in for a Swedish massage and they ended up doing Thai massages. The massages were still good, but not what we asked for and booked. We wanted Swedish massages because they're more relaxing and the Thai massages are quite rough.
