Came here for a Swedish deep tissue massage. Unfortunately, the massage was everything but deep tissue. The lady was just gliding her hands over, tapping me etc. Not a single muscle was properly massaged. I specifically mentioned notes in my back and not a single one was taken care of. So sad honestly. This Ocean Spa Massage is very dishonest. They told me that I have a FREE massage after getting 10 massages done there. I got 1 hour massage, ten times, paying cash (if you pay by credit card, they charges more). When they gave me a free massage, they ONLY gave 30 minutes. This is definitely MISLEADING. Also, they demand at least $10 tips. They did not suggest, but DEMANDING. THIS IS ILLEGAL. In short, I would rather give my business elsewhere. read more

Came here yesterday with my mom for the first time. It had a lot of good reviews, and she wasn't a fan of my go to massage place so I figured it was worth a shot. I called to schedule an appointment for 2pm. We arrived, someone walked to the front, and had us pick which massage we wanted. We had to pay BEFORE the massage, which is why I took a star off from the start. I picked the swedish deep tissue (extra strong $10 extra charge) and my mom chose the combo body/ foot massage. The lady who massaged me was nice, but the pressure she used was not consistent. The massage also felt like it was by someone who learned from home, not someone trained to massage. My mom felt the same way about the person who massaged her. (Reason for taking 2 more stars off.) When the massage was over they offered bottles of water, and asked if the tip will be cash or card. While I was hesitant on how much I should tip, the lady working at the front asked if I would write a review and give 5 stars. And immediately after, the lady who massaged me pushed for a tip AGAIN. (Reason for taking off the last star possible.) Tips are NOT required. If the service provided did not meet the guest's standards, then they shouldn't feel obligated to tip. We still tipped $20, which is more than what we were willing to give for a basic massage. I'll stick to the usual place I go to. read more

Jessica was the massage therapist and she worked on the areas most needed and overall as well. I was able to tell her to increase or decrease the pressure as needed. New therapists that actually listen to you and can address your problem areas Went in today because my lower back, neck, legs and shoulders were tight. Too many late nights at work this week, I guess. Plus, I suffer from MS. So my body tightens up OFTEN. So stretching is important. I went in and saw Jessica. She taught me a couple of stretches I could do at home. She also gave firm pressure to my lower back and shoulders. I'm feeling brand new, relaxed, and loose. The owner is friendly, caring, and organized, the shop is well-staffed with skilled practitioners which is very convenient for walk-ins (though appointment reservations are best once you become an established client). The facility is clean and spacious, and there is a room with 2 tables for couples who like to get massaged together. After a bit of a wait (my fault, I didn't make an appointment and came at a busy time), the girl who worked on me addressed all my points with just the right amount of pressure for my full body treatment, and even spent more time on my feet towards the end when I told her how much I loved foot massage. In summary, I felt genuinely cared for. NOTE: Be sure to grab a card before you leave, as they are loyalty cards and you'll get a free treatment after 10 visits. First off, don't come here thinking you're gonna get a resort style massage bc that's not what this place offers; what they do offer may be even better than that! I've had many massages from all over the world and nothing is better than an Asian style massage which is exactly what you're gonna get her, and for a decent price; a nice enough price in fact that you could treat yourself more often! I'd never been here, called and went directly in. I was not surprised to see a generally Asian style massage shop nor was I surprised to have to pay for the massage up front (this is typical of this type of massage shop). I was quickly taken back by Angela who was kind and made me feel comfortable. I have no idea if Angela is certified or "schooled" in the art of massage but honestly I didnt care. This woman gave a phenomenal massage. Like I've said, I've had many massages (all styles and prices -- old ladies on the beaches of Bali to those in fancy 5 star resorts) and regardless, the one thing that makes a massage excellent versus just good is whether the masseuse truly engages in the art of massage, listens to the body and invests in the exchange--instead of just rubbing oil into muscles.
