I highly recommend Dr. Pier to anyone seeking thoughtful, effective, and compassionate acupuncture or pain management care.

Valerie was terrific help to our whole family -- very professional and a highly qualified masseuse…read more We had our whole extended multigenerational family vacationing in Carlsbad and the adults were in dire need of some pampering after multiple theme parks and kid activity-filled days. As we had 6 adults (ages 35-80) interested in massages, I searched for the convenience of mobile in-home massages via yelp. Sana Sana not only looked the most promising but was also the promptest in responding and confirming availability - even though it was the holiday week between Christmas and New Years. Managing all the different family requests and our constantly shifting schedules was a tough but Valerie was super helpful and communicative and we managed to lock down our appointment block within 24 hours of first contact. Valerie brought another masseuse to manage all our appointments. She arrived early to set up at the house (they did their best working in a house full of energetic kids and dogs that struggle with the concept of quiet time) and they proceeded to give everyone amazing massages. Everyone highly raved about Valerie's skills; she took particular care to ensure comfort and total relaxation. Unfortunate I don't live in Carlsbad but I would definitely schedule another appointment if I'm ever in town again - Highly recommend !

I know how to exercise in a way that works for more sensitive bodies BUT, with structural issues in my body, I still need some extra support. I was feeling 3/10 this morning and afterwards Felt 9.5/10! Good enough to run which has been feeling harder for me lately. Gloria talks with you about your body, what you do/dont do, really aims to get to the root. She explains that deep tissue isn't supposed to be as hard as possible but what needs to happen to truly relax the muscle tissue. It's a combination of deep pressure but also whatever other magic she works to get the job done. Highly recommend and I'll be coming back regularly to keep my active body feeling good and able to stay active! This was the missing piece I needed because I already work on all the movement, strength, mobility, emotional/stress release/spiritual thru mindfulness, etc, but sometimes we just need this extra targeted tissue release. Thank you so much!!!

I have been in chronic pain for over a decade…read more Most days my pain is pretty much a 7 or 8 out of 10 but on bad days, like 2 days ago, on Christmas, my pain was easily a 13. It gets so bad I can't even move. My husband researched and looked at many reviews and for Xmas (2 days ago) gifted me a massage with Gloria. He and I were both nervous trying a new massage therapist, as my pain is pretty bad and most massage therapist can't even begin to get to the root of the problem. But Gloria did just that! After an amazing 1 1/2 hour massage, I walked out without pain!! I was shocked. She pinpointed the root cause, explained the issues and gave me advice on how to help myself on my own. I know with as much pain and damage that I have, that I will have to see Gloria again, and that's perfectly fine with me cause she's amazing.
