If I could give 0 stars I would. I recently made an appointment with them for a fly problem. The technician came the next day and didn't have the solution in his truck. He told me he made me another appointment for a few days later. When I called Viking to confirm the new appointment (the same number I called the first time) they told me I didn't have an appointment and they have no record of my first appointment even though a Viking technician came at the time of the appointment I made with their office. I cancelled my service for this lack of organization and professionalism! read more

Poor service! They don't call or tell you via written communication when an agent will come to service your house. So a stranger can show up anytime he wants. They say we tell you the week he is coming. That means you have have to be home that week. Another thing, when they service your house they don't always leave a note of what was performed. I had asked them to show me proof that they performed termite control on my house. After over 6 months of paying them I still don't have an answer. They sales man sold me their top of the line all inclusive product. When I spoke to the manager about my complaints he said you are set up as an "exterior only" account. We're having an issue with brown ants, so I called our local Viking Pest Control. Very friendly dispatcher answered and worked with me on scheduling. Very accommodating, despite our screw up on getting into the house. For the scheduled visit, the service person arrived a little early and expertly sprayed the exterior. We screwed up by not having the right house key available. The company tried to call a couple of times, and left a pleasant voicemail. The dispatcher couldn't have been nicer. When I finally called back, heaping many an apology, the dispatcher again was quite pleasant. For the rescheduled interior treatment, the service person arrived well within the scheduled window and dispatched the treatment quickly and thoroughly. Very informative about the treatment, the service person, Brandon, explained the process quite graphically so that we knew what would be happening. He anticipated our questions and responded to a few issues quite capably. read more

we have an invasion of the spotted lanternflies. i ordered a "knock-out" service and explained what trees are affected and named them all, including a cherry tree and a wild pear tree. the viking rep on the phone went through the procedure within a second and left an impression of assurance that they will work on all trees. as a result: 1. the technician sprayed lower leaves only without touching the trunk stating it was a separate "package" if you ask me -it is blatant arrogance. 2. he did not spray either cherry or pear trees even there were lanternflies on them by stating that it is harmful to the bees and other insects. the question is: what useful insects do in the month of august on the trees which bloom in may-june? how damaging would the spray be for the insects who feed on the flowers and are not even close to the non-blooming trees? and the last: wouldn't it be more damaging for the insects in the long-term run if all blooming trees are dying from the spotted lanternflies? read more

When they first come out they are on time all nice. But after they get there money and you try to get them to come out for the same problem they don't show up. They don't even give you a call when they don't show up you are waiting around like an idiot, then when you try to get another appointment you have to wait 2 weeks. I originally wrote a very nice review, that is because the technician who came into my home was in fact very nice. He told me upon signing up for a monthly service plan that I could cancel if the service didn't work. And it didn't. after 2 more times of them coming out to treat my home nothing had changed. I think there were more bugs then when we started. So I figured I could live with a few bugs and cancel. Why pay monthly for something that isn't working. Why keep spraying these chemicals around my home? Well ,when I called to cancel I was told I'd have to pay MORE to break contract and that they would just have to keep coming out. I called Viking for ants problem in my house, they send someone to inspect the property on 3/30, then 4/5 they came to spray the property and put some baits for the ants. The ants were back after 2 weeks, so I called, then they send someone on 4/15 to inspect and sprayed again. The "professional" worker told us not to kill ants, so the ants can deliver the poison baits to the queen. On 5/5, I saw 10 - 20 ants in my pantry, I could not stand there and watch them anymore, I used my own spray and killed them. I called the customer service and he told me I passed my 30 days warranty, that he can send someone out for re-inspection and "extra" cost service plans. What do you think the job they did? After paying for over $300 and a month period, I am still not ants free in my house. read more

Was home today when Viking showed up with tanks blasting. Technician was going to town and I was pleased to see the job they were doing. Highly recommend them. Viking has done other pest control for me in the past. Great people. Recommend them to anybody that has a insect problem. Prices are right and they do a honest job. Last year I had a carpenter bee problem. They came after the agreement was signed and the guy went to work. A year later the bees tried to make a comeback and whatever Viking did angered them and went away after a couple days. This year I called for mosquito and tick services. After reading horrible reviews from the competition I figured call Viking since they did right by me before. Within 2 weeks mosquito population dropped fast and no ticks on the dogs yet. They show when they say they will and everyone is always nice. I'll be using these guys for all pests moving forward. read more

Viking is amazing! I have a quarterly service plan for pests, but sometimes need to call in between if any issues come up, like mice or wasps. Most recently, we had squirrels in our attic! Upon my initial call, an appointment was set up right away. Anthony came out and did a fantastic job! Not only are our squirrels gone, he found all the entry points on our house and sealed them all up so that this will never happen again. He even came back the next day, to make sure that everything looked good and that I was happy. He was so pleasant and patient, answering all of my questions. Would HIGHLY recommend them! read more

I signed a one-year contract with this company and regret it! I also signed up for yard guard treatments (mosquito control). They never call before they come out. If you are home they don't even ring your bell. They don't leave notices when they come out. They send you an email. When you get the yard guard treatment you should keep your pets off the lawn for a couple of hours (or so one of their reps told me). My son came home one day and put my dog outside to lay in the grass, not knowing we had a treatment and I was in a meeting at work and didn't see my email. They seriously can't afford little flags to put out front like Lawn Doctor or other reputable companies to alert people? read more

ZERO TRUST! Needless to say the guys who came to do our house didn't notice the camera we had set up that is used to look at the dog while we are away at work. We were able to witness the 2 workers enjoying about an hour break right after we left them alone at the house and watched as they proceeded to look through our cabinets and pantry (not for bugs). WORST COMPANY EVER.. I called them up because I saw the add on clipper magazine and thought must be a good company because of clipper credibility. They came and made a treatment for the house and I paid their money as we agreed to. One month after the service i received a bill from them showing the service hasn't been paid goes along extra charges like billing extra statement charge and service charge. I Called them up told them I ALREADY gave check to the service guy at the day that i received the service. and i e-mailed them the copy of the check that i gave to them (i always take copy of everything ) .. Two weeks after that call the service guy showed up at the door and apologized for he lost the check and ask for a new one..I told him i give you new one but i have to ask to bank to put a stop payment for the one you lost.. and that will cost me 35.00 $ .. he said it is ok because this is their fault and we will be even.. and i gave him new check after the stop payment cost deduction.. guess what ?? i just received another statement for them yesterday because my balance is still open and showing second time additional statement and service charge fee.. all together extra 24.71 + 35.00 that i deducted for stop payment cost. i will call them tomorrow again ask for fix my statement and stop charging me this fees since i owe them nothing. the way of their doing business is lousy, and amateur.. if they don't fix my statement i will call attorney of general and make complaint about this company.. Anthony is a POS. My landlord refused to fix the rodent issue. Finally, he got Viking to come out after MANY requests. BY THIS TIME, I was highly upset because the rodents wreaked havoc on the Home I was paying monthly for. Anthony came out and immediately kissed the landlords ass and even had an attitude with me because I was following them around as they went through the home I RENT! I asked him a question and when he saw my phone was in my hand he said, "I won't talk until you put the phone away". That's some _ _ g shit. He's clearly not a professional, as I was the tenant and had vital information for him to be able to rectify the rodent issue. He couldn't care less that I was there but rather focused solely on the landlord (because he was who was paying him)and giving me an attitude in the process. I'm sure Viking is a wonderful company, but unfortunately, Anthony tainted my image and I will never use Viking solely because of him. (This was a while ago, but every time I see the truck, I think of how awful Anthony was as a representative of their company). Train him how to be respectful of the clients no matter landlord or tenant. Don't bother!! I had them come out on Oct. 13th to treat for centipedes. 2 weeks later we still saw them. So I called for a retreat appt. It was scheduled for todst, 10/31 between 10 & 2. At 12:30 I called just to confirm that we were still on the schedule. The rep said yes that someone would be here. Well its now almost 5pm and no technician and not even a call telling us they'd be later or an apologize that they wouldn't make. Viking Pest has been protecting my home for 9 years. Due to their suggestion and install of outdoor bait stations, there has not been a single rodent sighting inside my home for 8 years. In addition, the huge neighborhood population of mice has been essentially wiped out by my 4 traps. Nowadays, the baits are barely touched. I call this a successful extermination. I have been billed by Viking for treatments that were not done. When signing the contract I was informed by the sales rep that they would call before every treatment. However that did not happen. I was also informed that in case we could call and ask for the treatment to be done (as it did not have to be done every month as we did not have too many mosquitoes) every 45 days however they now are billing me for 3 months continually for treatment they claim they have done. No one has called or informed us via written communication when an agent will come to service our house. So a stranger can show up anytime he wants. Additionally, if they claim to have serviced your house they don't leave a note of when they came or what was performed so it is supposed to be on their word that they have performed the treatment. I would like to have proof signed by any person in my home that they performed yard control on my house. I have someone at home 24 hours of the day in case I step out and not one person has seen or been contacted by any service representative of Viking. Additionally, the contract for Yard Guard is from May to September however they claim it is for one year and a 30% service charge will be levied for a whole year now as I just informed them to cancel the same. The lady there claimed it is a legal contract however since I do not have proof of any service done over the past 3 months I shall be taking this up with the BBB.
