Disappointed .Technician took the mouse traps outside to another technician in the truck and told me that they require special keys, I know that every other company has done this inside my house so how would we know if we had a mouse or not? Shady! They only come out if you call them ,they do not have regular visits like other companies. For the amount of money I pay them they should be coming every three months. I recently called Viking Pest to re-bait my rodent stations in the garage and outside. When they arrived, they refused to do that and told me that since I have a dog, their company policy no longer allows them to. I had the dog when I started service with them. In fact, 2 months prior to their policy change they sold me 2 outdoor bait stations for $75. So basically, they would like me to spend more money and buy into their Smart Rodent technology instead, as their only option claiming it's safer. If they were offering it at the same cost then that might be an option but it's not the case. Not only have I had this happen, but I've requested numerous times if I could get the tech to be a regular so they'd get to know my property and that is not possible. Before I cancelled my service with them, I called multiple times asking for their service manager to call me as I was upset. Each time customer service would say I'd get a call within 48 hours and never did. I guess since Viking is owned by Anticimex a large corporation, they've lost sight of customer service. I am very disappointed with Viking Pest, I would not recommend them. If I could give the no stars I would. read more

After contacting numerous pest control companies in the city for help with some flies, mites, and aphids in our patio area from a neighbor's tree, Viking said they would be happy to come out for a free inspection while the others stated that they don't do outdoor insects. Our inspector, Doug G., arrived early (don't say that often anymore) and called 30 mins before his arrival. He was very nice and diagnosed the problem in minutes. Heck, he was on a ladder in the neighbor's tree pulling samples of the different insects. He came down and said you will want to get a spray for the tree, but this shouldn't be a big issue. In my head, I am thinking "great, how much will this cost?" Doug then said Lowes or Home Depot should have what you need for a few bucks, add some dish detergent, so it sticks better. No selling, just an expert opinion on something that could be solved by us. While I did not have to give any business to Viking today, I will surely recommend them to everyone, and if we need them in the future, they will be my first call. Terrible service. Communicating with Viking is a nightmare. The call center refused to provide contact numbers for the head quarters or connect me to a manager after asking 3 times. I have experienced several no shows where I've waited all day and them telling me the service order was voided. By who I asked? They can't provide an answer. I understand they are understaffed however customer service should be their priority. Perhaps if they paid their workers a better wage they might provide a decent service. When I've questioned the fact that they can't provide me a contact number they get irate and ask if I still want to reschedule appointment in a not so friendly tone. Critical: Punctuality, Responsiveness I am very sad to have to write this review because I've been a loyal and happy customer for at least four years, on the monthly service as well as yard guard. I have no idea what has happened, but this company has utterly fallen apart. They have always been exceeding polite, responsive, and the techs almost to a one really great folks. But now, numerous calls go answered, requests for service missed or they show up on days with torrential rain, they mess up billing, and worst of all NO ONE ever picks up the phone, impossible to get a hold of ANYONE. This does correlate with COVID so I sincerely hope all are ok- but there has been ZERO communication with customers as to what is going on and I'm ready to cancel. Very sad again because I referred them to many, many people and have always spoken so highly of them. Getting an appointment is relatively easy and if they need to come back out they respond within a day or 2. My last service was done by Adrian. Horrible service. I could not get them on the telephone for months. I have left several message and no return calls. I used them for 17 years but the pass two years have been a disappointment. I needed some attention for hornets nest and mites outside but could not reach them. Finally after 6 weeks of trying to call and leaving message I finally reached Casey . I informed her of my dissatisfaction with the company and explained the reason for cancelling my service. She wasn't even concerned about losing a customer. So I guess they don't need my business. Viking Pest Control is a scam. They promised they will address our centipede and spider issue as well as determine their point of entry. They have not. The first technician refused to spray or even look at our two main floors. He asked us to choose one room, in the basement only. He told us "OK. I can do the garage too." So, he looked into 2 rooms. He did not spray anything. He just placed some sticky strips. I complained and three months later (in September) another technician showed up. He sprayed parts of the home, in and out. He told us he would return in a month. He never did. The company kept on charging us every month. Now, they are telling us they sprayed our home on January 4th. That did NOT happen. We work from home. We are home every day. This is a scam! read more

We've used the Mountainside Viking Pest Control and we've had no issues for years other than they never call when setting up their annual inspection for termites. But when you get an clean inspection for termites and then not even 4 months later try to sell your house and another company has found termites - watch out. We were under contract but Viking insists that it's old tubules, not new so they won't treat the area and so you can't close unless you pay another termite company to do what needs to be done to close. Very sad that they are not doing their jobs appropriately and are trying to get out of treating an area after being a customer for 25 plus years. Don't use them. read more

After Dirks(my previous pest company)was bought out by Viking it went downhill fast. After fighting over a bill that a technician never came out for I finally paid because the call center only sees the notes in the system. Very frustrating. And the new technicians were super nice but not very knowledgable. They thought the thousands of holes in my yard were ground bees. They ask if I wanted it sprayed. They are horrible. They never answer the telephone until you threaten to cancel. I dont understand how the call volume is high when they first open in the morning. I've been calling them for the last 3 days with no return call no answer or anything. But it was clear that they are still open since they went into my bank account this morning for payment. They were lazy before Covid-19 now it has become worst. I will be canceling my subscription TODAY. I would not recommend to anyone. Summary - One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with in my life due to horrible communication and disorganization leading to baffling unreliability. It is a nightmare trying to schedule anything with them. We'll end up canceling the service after just 5 months. Over that short amount of time we've had 3 missed service appointments. We call and schedule something then call back and the person checks "the system" and there's not record of it. They always blame "the system", but regardless of the excuse it is with a doubt the most disorganized company I've ever dealt with. They once called and left a message saying "we're coming on xx/xx/xxxx date" so I called back to confirm and they answered, "no we're not coming on that date we have no record of that." In short - they're a nightmare. Add this to the rest of the proof on Yelp and save yourself the trouble. read more

This company charged me $703.68 a year so that they can do visual inspections 3 times out of 4. The first time they did what we agreed on, what I'm paying them to do, but the rest of the times it's all visual only. I might as well go to my local Home Depot, buy one of their insecticides, bug spray around the perimeter of my house and detached garage myself, once a year, and save me hundreds of dollars. I guess the family sold the company a while back and now there's nothing but a call-center in India with people who don't know anything about pest control or the services provided. We've had numerous issues recently w/ people coming on time, knowing what service they were supposed to be there providing and my having to call on more than one occasion to cancel an unauthorized and erroneous "computer-generated" appointment. Update: I was FINALLY contacted by customer service - Of course, they only reach out in response to bad reviews cause god forbid their google rating goes down. Their communication regarding contracts are absolutely terrible - If I knew it was going to be a 'he said she said' issue, I should have recorded the conversation I had with the technician when I first had my service appointment. The customer service rep claimed from her "NOTES" that I consented to a monthly contract - Which I did not. She tried to sell me on keeping the monthly contract that I was apparently already billed for + proceeded to offer me a counteroffer. Honestly, if the customer service and situation had been different - YES I would've kept the service. But damn this company is an absolute hustler + fraud - Tricking you into a monthly commitment when you clearly stated "one-time service." I would rather pay double somewhere else than use this BS company ever again. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY TRUST ME. I would have gave them no stars but it's not an option. Called them for help with birds in our bathroom vents. They sent out a tech for an inspection on Monday March 30. He gave us an estimate and said it was a two man job and it need to be dry out, understandable! He told me he need to go to his truck to see when they could do it. He came back said that his supervisor wants to come check it out to make sure the vent pipes where not to long for them and if they where good they would do it that day. So they scheduled for Tuesday April 7 but never showed up. I called the number but after the machine picked up and said you will be transferred to the next available operator, however the phone just rang and no one picked up. I tried 3 times. Then I sent an email. I got a response Jason the branch manger apologizing and asked if a could explain the problem and take pictures. REALLY!?! You just had someone out here and know what the problem is. But, I gave him a detail of the problem. Never heard back from him. So I called A Wildlife Pro who came out the next day and took care of them problem. If you are busy that is understandable but don't ignore a potential customer. read more

I called for immediate flea service, which they promised to attend to, same day (between 2-6) only after a call back from them in "five minutes". I never received the back with confirmation so I called them. The same gal responded saying her colleague "probably went to lunch" but that they could indeed come out between 4pm and 6pm. I was happy that they were able to help on short notice so I made arrangements for pets, wife and newborn to leave the house; stripped bedding and cleaned the house. As I got ready while awaiting for the 15 minute notice call from the tech en route, the clock approached 5pm, 5:30, 5:45... I realized where this was headed and the offices closed at 6pm. I called what seems to be more of a "call center" back to confirm whether the promised tech was actually coming. not only could the young man not confirm or deny that a tech was still planned to see us, but could not offer me a refund and could not get a manager on the phone. this was an awful first experience and highly recommend you do not use viking. it seems they approach things on a 'feel like it' basis and now I have to call again and battle for the $450 for services not rendered. after a night of disappointment and headaches with a newborn baby -- I'll be going with a competitor who were much more competent from the start. read more

Prompt service and technician provided clear guidance on where wasps were coming from. As we are in a HOA controlled development they could not remove the nest without neighbor approval and or HOA. As no actual action taken regarding the wasps on their service call they were willing to cancel the one time service contract. Would call them again for service if needed. read more

Trust the low stars on all of these reviews. I paid $300 for an "expert" to set up mouse traps and plug a hole with mesh wire. I could've easily done all of it myself, but the consultation made it seem more complicated. This place doesn't have your interests in mind; they just want to rip you off. $314 to spray a yellow jacket nest. I was told that the cost included thorough examination of my entire property for other nests which was not done. Nest was sprayed, which seem to only make the hive more angry. I thought that the service would be more professional and actually remove the nest. Additionally, After calling them twice and letting them know that they had the wrong email address, they continued to email my receipt with personal information to the wrong email address.
