This company is great. Gary, the person I typically work with, is responsive, timely and fair. We have used them for two seasons now and are very happy with their work. read more

If you need an exterminator for bed bugs, this man is not your guy. He came for an appointment today and was here for 5 minutes. Yes, you read that right... 5 minutes. For a bed bug problem. All he did was spray some pesticides and barely covered any ground. Bed bugs are a very different pest from any other pest you'll deal with, and he accomplished absolutely nothing for us today. I work remote and planned on working at a coffee shop today, and wasted my time planning around the appointment because we were informed that we would need to vacate our apartment while they did work around our house. So much for that! I would have expected at least SOME effort to inspect our apartment and maybe try and look around for where they might be. Nope! Barely even lifted a finger. His colleague stood outside the house the entire time, and Gary wasn't even willing to touch the mattress. I had to pull it out for him. What kind of exterminator is afraid of getting their hands dirty? It's your job to find bugs and exterminate them. At least pretend you're trying dude. Before he came, he had us empty all of our dressers and put our clothes in airtight bins. I'll admit, that's good advice, but that's something you'd probably read online before dumping money and time on someone like this. So yeah, thanks for regurgitating obvious information to me. This guy didn't even bother looking into any dressers or closely inspect any of our beds. He made absolutely no effort on his part. I ended up finding more bed bugs myself after thoroughly inspecting my roomate's room, and putting actual effort into making sure that we dealt with them the best way we could for the meantime. If you are reading this and you've discovered bed bugs in an early stage and it's not a big infestation yet, I highly recommend that you watch Mark Rober's bed bug video and follow it religiously. Buy bed bug traps for your bed, encase your bed in a high quality bed mattress cover, apply diatomaceous earth powder in a thin layer around your room (please wear a N95 mask and do your best not to inhale any of it), etc. Follow everything in that video before your bed bug problem becomes an infestation. Please watch that video. It will do you justice. If you caught your bed bug problem too late, you'll need a professional. In other words, not this guy. He might have good reviews for other pests, but he has absolutely no idea what he's doing in regards to bed bugs. He's afraid of them. He ain't gonna help you. Thanks for nothing, I'm sure whatever my landlord paid you was worth it. read more

I first hired a national company to take care of yellow jackets nest. A guy came, did some spraying, told me the YJ would be gone in a day. Next day, YJ were having a party and did not appear like they wanted to leave. I found Family Termite & Pest Control on Yelp the next day. What caught my attention is that the company does not have you sign any contracts, they come and take care of things that you ask them to take care of. I left a message on Yelp and received a response from Gary in fairly short timeframe. He was at my door steps the following morning and took care of the problem. That same evening, I did not see a single YJ. Gary took care of the problem in quick and effective manner. Price was also very reasonable. I will definitely consider FT&PC for any future pest needs. read more

Gary is professional, timely, and detailed with his communication and work. He came in at a very competitive rate; and didn't try to upsell additional services like nearly every other exterminator quote. He will be my go-to guy should I have a pest problem again! read more

This is hands down the worst pest control service I've ever dealt with. First of all, the technician showed up in his personal vehicle instead of a company truck. Immediately, that felt unprofessional. He barely spent a minute "inspecting" the place before telling me he could do the treatment, without even trying to locate where the pests were coming from. His only explanation was that the mice could be coming from the neighbors. I'm sorry, but isn't it your job to find out where they're coming from? That was the whole reason I called in the first place! When I suggested sealing an entry point with silicone, he said he didn't have his work truck with him, just his personal vehicle. So why are you even here if you're not prepared to do the job properly? All he did was put down three traps and told me that's the treatment, then said I was covered by a 30-day warranty. I ended up doing more work myself. When the mice kept coming, I called back to get them to return, and I was shocked at how rude their customer service was. The lady on the phone was completely unprofessional, talking down to me like I was bothering her. She insisted I'd have to pay for another visit, even though I was still under the warranty. When I asked what the warranty was for then, she got defensive, confused, and eventually hung up on me. And guess what? The technician never called me back. This company is a complete joke. They don't care about solving your problem, and their customer service is rude and dismissive. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else because this place is a waste of time. read more

Great company. We had a problem with fleas. We had tried treating ourself with various off the shelf sprays and diatomaceous earth however nothing seemed to work. Then we called Gary from Family Termite. He was very friendly and was easy to schedule a time to come round. He sprayed the affected areas and after leaving for a week we checked and the fleas were successfully killed. Reasonable prices, easy to schedule with, and good service. Would recommend for any pest control issues you have. read more

Gary is reliable, fair and does only what is needed. Highly recommend his services. Satisfaction is his priority.

They were prompt and took care of the pest situation immediately. Much better than all the pest control companies with a call center desk where they take forever to get back to you. read more

I have used Gary for many years. He never tries to oversell you he just provides the service you need and his prices are better then other services. He has come to my house and told me I do not need a treatment after an inspection. Very honest guy. read more

The most honest company I know. I called before for mice problem. They suggested me to place the trap myself first because that's what they would have done first. I ended up not using them because what they said was right. I called them right away when I have big ass hornets nest hanging off of my roof. read more

Just called them for help with a bug problem. Both the receptionist and Gary, the Service Guy couldn't have been more helpful. Diagnosed my problem over the phone, identified the pest, and told me how to rectify the issue. Professional and friendly. I will recommend them every chance I get. Thank you Family Pest! read more

I'm selling my house. The inspection discovered carpenter ants. They came quickly worked on it, provided transferable warranty for one year. I am satisfied their work. read more

We've used them both to sell our home, which needed treatment for carpenter bees, and when we bought our new home, which needed treatment for termites. As the other reviewers have said, they are super honest and conscientious. They return to get the job done if it needs follow up, and they tell you when you can do it yourself. It's a local family business, and I so appreciate them! Thanks so much Gary and family~ read more

I called for a pest inspection form and Friendly was able to come out the same day. The owner who came out was a nice guy. Great service

I have used Family Termite & Pest Control for over 10 years. Gary does a great job and stands behind his work. He will make the trip to my house in Hillsborough to make sure the job is complete. I have used the large, corporate companies in the past and they always want you to sign a contract. Gary does not work that way. He is honest, professional and works with you. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

I appreciate Gary's inspection and advice. I was searching for a trustworthy termite inspection service when I found some sawdust near the window side. I want to have a local service than the large network companies. The Family Pest Control was my choice. Gary came to my house and gave me a good news that my house is not infected by termite. He applied spray to kill ants in and out side of the house at free of charge. I appreciate for all of these. read more
