Evans was responsive, courteous, honest, and made sure we had all the information before making a decision. I had originally described "just 3-4 nests," but when he came out and saw the whole house was infested, he didn't bat an eye! We're keeping him! read more

The reviews are true! The owner sent a technician to work on our spider Catastrophe! Those spiders are no joke. Imaging the spider as big as my palm. They drop right on my son's pillow and another one jump on my in-law's face. The technician came on time and exam every corner in our house. After the inspection, the technician went to work on the treatment and spent more than an hour in total. He even check my attic to make sure no signs of spiders or bugs. On the following day, we found not only the spider are almost gone but all crickets went disappeared. The whole house is whisper quiet. Imagine multiple circuits singing in your house calling each other in the middle of night. Another benefit is no more silver fish. Hopefully, the treatment can last for three months. I will continue to ask them to return quarterly for at least a year. read more

I contacted the company because I had been hearing loud scratching between the walls and found droppings behind my stove. I actually caught a rat on glue traps that had managed to escape. A Technician came out the next day. Evens arrived during the time window that was expected. He was personable. Listened to my concerns, provided great customer service and preventive recommendations. If the problem persists I will definitely call them back. read more

Beau friendly kind great job. Twice appointment ant removal. Kitchen basement house. Great job read more

I called Universal Pest Control to get a second opinion about some animal noises in our home. I am SO glad I found this company! They did an assessment and quickly realized the first company I'd called was totally lying and trying to sell us stuff we didn't need. They quickly determined the actual problem (birds in bathroom duct), resolved it, and even adjusted the price down from the initial quote once they realized it was birds and not squirrels. They also noticed an old wasp nest that a previous pest treatment had never bothered to look for and kindly removed it for us. I still can't believe the first company straight up lied to us. I'm grateful we found this honest company who did great work quickly and in a friendly way. I would recommend them to everyone! read more

Absolutely the best pest control place! The people there are kind and professional. Every encounters with the staff have been positive and compassionate and they do great work! Highly recommend! read more

These guys really know what they're doing! I have a debilitating fear of centipedes and a few months after moving into our new house, they all came out of hiding in our basement. But after working with Universal, our centipede sightings have decreased 99%, which is a result I never would have thought possible. Don't waste your time with Terminix - they treat all bug problems the same way. Universal actually tailors the treatment to your specific issue. So glad we found them, and they are all such nice guys too! read more

Very responsive and reliable! If you have a job that needs doing, look no further. We had an issue with squirrels and raccoons in the attic and he was quick to schedule the initial estimate visit and to return to take care of the job. read more

I have been using Universal Pest Control for over 2 years now and I highly recommend them. Beau is the best!

I had a wasps nest in the corner or wall adjacent to an inaccessible attic above our kitchen. When some of the wasps started to enter the kitchen through the small openings in my recess light mounting units, I knew I had a serious issue. I had treated a wasp nest myself in my previous home. That time they had built a nest in the wall under one of my windows. But with my current situation I did not want to tackle it on my own. I hired Universal Pest Control for the job. With a hidden wasp nest like this one it took two treatment applications to rid of all the wasps. A big "thank you" to both to Evans and Paul for helping me out. We even collaborated for a temporary solution to capture any stray wasps getting into my kitchen to catch them in a "trap bag" taped under one of my recess lights. Good we did. In the end I had 20-30 wasps caught in this bag. I'm very satisfied with the service. read more

An injured raccoon died on my property and my town would not take care of it. Universal came the same day I called and helped me get rid of it. It was easy peasy. I called four other companies and Universal gave reasonable pricing and was available to come right away. Highly recommend. read more

This company is reliable, affordable and they take care of all your problems fast. I would highly recommend this company.

I don't appreciate waiting an hour and 45 minutes on a beautiful, sunny, 70 degree day for no one to show up. 15 minutes before the end of the 2 hour window I selected, I called to ask what's up? I was expecting something lame like: he's running behind schedule or even worse, he's not going to make it at all and I need to reschedule. BUT NO, I was told that I was never even put on the schedule because he/she had already hit the road. Now maybe this is just me and my silly ideas of what customer service should be BUT why didn't the scheduler ( or ANYBODY ) call me in the morning to say it just wasn't going to happen today. If they don't care about wasting 2 hours of my day then they certainly haven't earned my trust to provide even minimal quality service. Don't waste your phone call, your text or your email. read more

We were loosing sleep because of squirrels that had made their way into our roof and Mosquitos in August were eating us alive and we had a hive of wasps that stung my husband, we couldn't enjoy our patio. We called the friendly guys over at Universal Pest control. The next day they came by to check the effected areas. Then two days later the professional crew came bright and early and got to work setting a trap for the squirrel and sprayed our property. In two days I felt the mosquitos went away. We could hear the squirrel attempting to get past the trap but couldn't get in. After two weeks the team came back to remove the trap and seal up our roof. A month has past and so far we are sleeping soundly with no scratching sounds in the walls. No bites or stings and we are happily enjoying our patio. I couldn't be happier. They are friendly & professional and know their stuff. read more

I found universal pest control on Yelp about a year ago when we moved into our new house. Being a new homeowner I didn't realize how often I'd need a pest specialist to come help us but in this year they've helped us with things like bees, squirrels, mosquitos, ants, mice and maybe more I can't think of. They always come masked up and wear booties on shoes and on time and polite it's honestly really rare to see a business run like this. read more

I found them on Yelp. They came out and did an inspection. Explained the situation and how to address it. The best part was they did not over charge me like other quotes I received prior. They did great work. read more

Evens is such a wonderful person to work with! I found his business online and he was the most reasonable quote I received. He answered my very first phone call and scheduled to come the next day! To remove a groundhog, other companies were charging an arm an a leg! Evens did honest work and did not take advantage of the emergent need! We had 4 groundhogs in our backyard. He did Groundhog trapping and removal and ant control. He was so patient with those 4 groundhogs and came back 4 times, as soon as a groundhog was trapped! I'm glad we found Evens. He is so reliable and easy to work with! I would confidently recommend him to anybody! read more

These guys are awesome. We had a mice issue. Our house went from having a single mouse to pretty much being infested over the course of two months. Winter time is bad concerning pests because your house becomes a safe haven for them. When first looking for signs of mice, most were found in our kitchen area under the sink (yuck) and we had to throw out alot of our packaged foods that they had gotten into. A little guy even came out to say hello when the exterminator was looking around. That was a rarity as mice usually hate humans. Ours didnt. They came back only a few days later and rigged our entire kitchen and attic (which is where they were coming from) with snap traps and poison. Who knew mice didnt actually like cheese? Instead they prefer peanut butter and slim jims. All we heard from the time the exterminator left was snap snap snap and three days past that, we have zero signs of mice. We have lots of animals, dogs mainly. They were very good at keeping the poisoned areas out of the dogs reach so that was super cool too. They come back periodically to remove the waste and lingering poison so the house doesnt ever actually smell like dead mice. Super professional, very nice people, and more efficient than i thought was possible. Pricing was incredibly affordable, much less than we anticipated. I would look no further than these guys. Highly recommend for any pest issues. read more

Well, I've been at war with a wayward groundhog, Fatty the Ghetto Groundhog (yes, I named him). He dug a hole in my yard the size of a cemetery plot & then I stepped in another hole & fell while trying to spread pellets (which he nibbled on like it was cocktail hour while he inhaled the ammonia that was supposed to work too. Nothing worked!) So I called around....actually called Universal Pest Control first. I liked the friendliness of the owner. He was great. We made an appointment. He came out at the time he stated. Inspected my yard. Laid 2 traps. Within 2 hours, Fatty was trapped and the owner came back to retrieve him, expeditiously. He left the other trap just in case. It was affordable (money well spent) & he offers a 30 day warrantee (the owner can explain the details). I'm super happy with the results & I will use Universal again. And to Fatty the Ghetto Groundhog, I say "So long! We hardly knew ye!" Update: 5/24/19 came back for a possum (Posey the Possum who was quite unfriendly. Showing fangs and all that. A bit belligerent, if I do say so myself. read more

This is the BEST pest control company I have ever worked with. We had a termite problem, as well as carpenter ants that were eating into the house's walls. From the first phone call to the post-work follow-up, we received nothing but kindness, professionalism, and exceptional work. Evens and his team were responsive to calls, took the time to explain the "why" and "how" the specific interventions were selected to best take care of our pest problems. Evens is honest, collaborative, attentive, and has the highest work ethics and standards. Highly recommended! read more

Sitting in my home office and suddenly hearing the sound of an unwanted visitor in the attic, I wanted someone out now!!! I called a couple of the big names, but they couldn't get to me for a couple of days. One call. The gentleman came out in 30 minutes, assessed the situation and resolved my BIRD problem. What I really liked was the follow up visit the next day to do repair and cleanup work from the "unwanted guests". Job well done. Very professional. Fair price. read more

I would definitely recommend Universal Pest Control. I sent a message requesting a quote and received a reply within 20mins... on a Sunday! Absolutely no hidden fees, they safely retrieved both of my uninvited guests (two groundhogs) relocating them off my property. Universal Pest Control sent me a text message a few days later to advise they were on their way back to fill in the hole that the groundhogs dug. I HIGHLY recommend this company. Thanks you sooo much, you guys are awesome! read more

This guy is the greatest. First of all, he is a solo entrepreneur, which shows up as passion for what he does. He's an expert pest control professional, with a joy for serving his clients- a rare find these days read more

They arrived promptly to do an inspection for how mice are getting in. I have a larger older home, so I braved myself that it would likely be a big number. They suggested that trapping may be a better solution because exclusion would cost a lot and may not even be successful considering the size and age of the house. I was very happy that they gave an honest opinion instead of immediately going to the very expensive "solution" - of course if the problems continue I'll be reaching out to them and attempting exclusion if trapping does not work. read more

Evens came out to the home for a consultation of small beetles. He was very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. We ended up not needed a treatment. He mentioned that the owner of the company prioritizes honesty and customer loyalty. They were not quick to take our money for an unneeded service, and that's remarkable. An honest business during a pandemic is hard to find. We will certainly use UPC in the future and recommend their services to all our friends. Your business sets the gold standard for customer loyalty. read more

Jay responded promptly to my quote request, and came out next day. He walked around the attic carefully and took photos of what he saw and showed them to me, explaining clearly how he concluded that I had a bird living and pooping in my attic. He gave me suggestions on how to address the issue by closing off some areas where the birds could get in. He didn't charge me for the inspection and advice. I appreciated the friendly and thorough service. Thanks! read more

We had raccoons in our crawlspace. I called a ton of companies. Their estimates were hundreds of dollars (in one case $1000+) more than universal quoted and charged me. They were responsive, friendly, and didn't recommend any services I didn't need. They even advised me things I could do myself that were cheaper than paying them to do. When we caught the first raccoon, the employee who came to retrieve it clearly showed care for the animal. Definitely recommend this company. read more
