We hired DB Pest Solutions after a ground hog and a raccoon devastated much of the really nice ground cover around our deck over the winter They destroyed at least half of it. The first night the traps were in place the ground hog was captured. Roughly a week later we found a raccoon in a trap. Both relocated far away by DB Pest. DB techs arrived very promptly after each "catch" and also routinely rebaited the traps with fresh "treats" (and they know what each animal favors!). Polite and knowledgeable. Accomplished exactly what we needed in a very short time. Highly recommended. Now to replant the ground cover! read more

Dave and his team are kind and communicative. I paid ~$400 for mouse removal. Dave seemed confident he could handle the problem. We discussed humane traps, and he agreed to use those. He said he preferred snap traps because they were quick, and that glue traps were inhumane. There was a gap in between when he came for the consult and when we started, and the problem got worse. When he did come out for the first appointment, I told him to go ahead and just kill them, and he ended up using glue traps. This upset me, so I reached out to Michelle (their wonderful admin person). She never really acknowledged the problem, but a new person came out for the next appointment. He didn't know where Dave had set traps or what he'd done to keep the mice from getting in, so he did some extra caulking around openings Dave had apparently missed. In the meantime, on two separate occasions, we had to deal with live mice stuck to the glue traps. The fee has a "warranty" of two months. They may have caught a handful of mice (we caught almost as many ourselves with a humane trap). In the time we were trying to solve the problem, though, the mice moved residence to the inside of my staircase and, eventually, the back of my fridge. Someone would come out once a week to check traps and set new ones. By the end, it just felt like a huge waste of money. There was no real problem solving happening, and it ended up just getting worse. So now I'm out all that money, have mice everywhere, no idea how to get them out, and little faith in the pros. Update, July 2020: We keep finding mouse traps around the house that DB never picked up. Last night, I noticed a foul smell under the sink. Tonight we found two traps with mice on them. Mind you, these traps were set over six months ago, and it was my understanding that DB would be handling any traps they laid down. So: we still have mice, there are still traps god knows where. To add insult to injury, I reached out to DB for a different service in May and got no reply at all. I'm just so disappointed in this whole mess. read more

I would, without hesitation, highly recommend Dave at DB Pest. He has gone above and beyond to help me deal with a clothing moths issue and a mice issue. I recently bought a house that hadn't been truly lived in for about 4 years. (The previous owners were here so infrequently that the next door neighbors didn't even know them. They also didn't maintain the house properly at all. I clearly didn't know any of this when I bought the house.) When I moved into my house in April I called Cooper Pest. They handled the cave cricket issue I had, but when I found out I had a clothing moth issue they couldn't help me unless I paid another large fee. (I think it was $600 and it didn't have a 6 month guarantee.) Dave was not only reasonably priced, but he genuinely cared about eliminating the problem. Now that it's winter I found out I had mice in my crawl space and attic. Once again, Dave was there to save the day. He's kind, he's thorough and most importantly he does the job and solves the issues. Dave is so good that I actually paid him for an annual service as well, despite being in a year contract with Copper. I can't wait until April, at which point I will not be renewing my contract with Cooper. If you're in need of an exterminator, don't go to the big names - call Dave. You won't be disappointed and you will be helping support a local business. I have to give a shout out to Chrissy as well. She answers all calls and does the scheduling. She's extremely friendly and follows up, unlike some of the big names. (I called Erlich numerous times when trying to find an exterminator to help with clothing moths, but they would never return my call.) Skip the big names and call Dave at DB Pest. He is honest and truly cares about helping eliminate the problem. The $400+ service for mice control is a borderline scam. The traps they laid caught 0 mice. We still see mice and mice droppings and when asked to return to address the issue, the exterminator didn't even have traps with him. One exterminator broke a door in my basement and just said "it was already like that". Save your time, money and frustrations and hire someone else. read more

I was impressed on how quickly I received a response. I was even more impressed that they came that day! Great customer service! Justin, the technician, was friendly and courteous. He was very helpful and honest. He thoroughly inspected my attic and reported no evidence of animals. Therefore we did not retain services at this time but we're keeping an eye out. I will definitely call DB Pest Solutions back if I need their services. It's nice to find a company that practices good business ethics. I would have given them 5 stars but I held one back because I thought it was a bit pricey and I wasn't too keen on paying full price for cages even though there was a possibility of not catching anything. Ok, so no one ever want to admit when they have to call an exterminator.... But after one no show and learning that sprays aren't effective for roaches and that's what a lot of companies use, I thought "I NEED to leave some feedback for Dave Bilyk Exterminators!" After a late night call to Dave last night, and the horrific nightmares of roach attacks that followed, I was desperate to get someone here today, so I followed up with him this morning. Dave returned my call in less than an hour and had a technician to my house 45 minutes later. By lunch time everything was taken care of.... I also have two cats that I was concerned might get into poisons and sprays and I'm so happy that the technician kept everything so neat and tidy. I love this exterminator! And I HATE bugs. My finace thinks I have major issues. Thank god we found Dave. We had a major infestation of bugs (silverfish) in our attic/bathroom. It took a few months, as one would expect, but thanks to Dave's aggressive service, we are *ALMOST* free of these horrible things! They did a fine job on what we needed, but I didn't not enjoy the customer service. They never gave a way to pay the invoice (no address to send a check to, no link to pay online) and then called me and told me to do the "honorable thing" by paying them. I'm also 9 months pregnant! Terrible customer service to stress out a pregnant person who is just busy and overwhelmed and didn't have clear directions on how to pay a small bill. Will not be using them again. read more

I sent him pics of the bees nests, let him know that I definitely wanted the nests removed (not just sprayed) and we agreed on a price. The guy that came out was on-time, very nice, competent and removed the 2 nests the same day. I took a chance on this guy due to the one great review. It's really surprising how many exterminators have no reviews on yelp or anywhere else. I'm getting a treatment done for a rather large infestation of flying ants right now (I think there is a colony in my bedroom wall). I put through a request on his website this morning and he gave me a call within the hour to come by today. I was at work so I did not have the pleasure of meeting him, but my Dad was at home and said that he is very nice and professional. Amazing service! I moved into an older house a month ago that unfortunately had fleas inhabiting it (a former tenant left an infested mattress+box spring, and there was a cat...) and they spread upstairs to my bedroom, and seemed to ONLY be in my bedroom. I had never previously called an exterminator before, and I was literally going CRAZY from the fleas! Not only did Dave explain everything they were going to do over the phone with me when I scheduled my appointment, but I have contacted him (and the technician that came to my place) several separate times since then with different minor questions, etc. (it was my first time with a bug problem, I wasn't sure what to do/expect- haha) and they were extremely helpful. I haven't had a single problem since then! They are very flexible with scheduling and times, and the service is also very reasonably priced; my landlord would not pay for the services, and none of my other roommates were experiencing a problem, so I was in this on my own, and it was VERY reasonable. I hate bugs. HATE. And, I have nightmares that they are invading my home. So, when ants did start invading our second floor, I called Dave. He took great care of my ant problem, and there was enough bait that when a new set of jerky ants came in, they were soon gone too. Dave gets 5 stars for returning my calls in a reasonable timeframe (including weekends and holidays) and for just being a VERY cool cat in the presence of a VERY uncool chick! ( I have no clue why a mouse makes me come undone, but EW! GET OUT!) Anyway, Dave's price is pretty fair considering he's the owner, he shows up when he says he will, he does a thorough inspection for vulnerabilities and compromises in walls, faucets, etc. and patches them up as needed, and then gets down to the business of trapping and removal.
