The "Best of Philly" for Pest Control, Evans Pest Control followed through. Evans is a smooth running operation with very knowledgeable, and professional technicians. They provide a time window the day prior to coming to your home or business. Mine was provided to an absent minded member of my building's management who didn't think it was necessary to provide me the courtesy of the information. Unlike PSCo Philly, Evans Pest Control is very systematic, and thorough. I had Ryan, again, performing my exterminating services. Ryan is a consummate professional and takes pride in his work. On the date of his follow up, Ryan from Evans Pest Control had multiple units to tend to in my building, run by an inept Property Manager, and careless management from PSCo Philly and MM Partners, where roach infestation, and bed bugs are problematic, but ignored, unless tenants are vigilant. If only they were as caring and took pride in their work like the head of maintenance. Make sure, if you live in a residential building, that you're provided a Bed Bug Plan to review, prior to signing a Lease, and informed if prior infestations within the last 120, as the City of Philadelphia provides in Section 9-4802. PSCo Philly elects to operate without following laws, and breaches their contractual obligations often. If your landlord has not provide you a bed bug plan and/or notice of an infestation, you can terminate your lease- see the remedies under section 9-4802. Evans is phenomenal, and highly recommended. read more

The technician knew how to do his job as if he was a robot I had to ask him to look upstairs go out side. We caught the mice with glue traps after he left I-realized he never even pulled our refrigerator out that's where we caught the second mouse I am just as afraid of the mice in my house now as before we paid our money. There response to me is that if I pay them even more money they will come back. read more

My husband woke up one morning with a bug on his chest and panicked: we must have bed bugs. He consulted with another exterminator who told us to call Evans Pest Control. Despite the fact that they were extremely busy, the Evans' rep came to our home that Saturday. He looked carefully and examined the bug carefully. It was not a bed bug. We appreciated this man for two reasons: 1) He was honest. We would have gone ahead and paid $1000 or more to have all our clothes, bedding, and rugs cleaned and our house treated. 2) He was friendly and informative. He told us what to look for; how one could tell the difference; and what to do if we ever really have bed bugs. Nice, honest company read more

Hired them to get rid of a mice problem, all they did was put down traps, which didn't do anything, that we could have put down ourselves. Then the tech said they couldn't patch any holes in our house, however we hired another service and they found several more holes, which they at least attempted to patch them up. For the high cost of this service I wouldn't recommend. read more

I can't believe I have never reviewed these guys. We bought our first house that had termites upon the first inspection. Something to be expected living in northern liberties and buying an old house. We reached out to Evans Pest control for termite and general pest control. It's run by Charles and Jeremy Evans who are both great with their customers. They gave us very good advice to keep our home pest free. They have been taking care of our regular pest control needs since then. I have to say, we never got any pest or termite problems since we started working with them. read more

BEWARE! The owner of this company sent an inexperienced and UNLICENSED TECHNICIAN to our house for a cockroach extermination service and then LIED ABOUT THE PESTICIDE used to try and cover up his NEGLIGENCE. We noticed many red flags with the service, including our technician's application process using a SINGLE SPRAY both INSIDE and OUTSIDE our home, and even in small areas like our kitchen cabinetry. We gave the technician the benefit of the doubt when he told us its safe but after he left we noticed the wood inside our cabinetry had completely warped from being drenched in the chemicals. The owner could not have acted shadier - including ordering his staff to not disclose the pesticide used or provide the licensing information for the technician. Eventually they provided the pesticide, but it was an obvious lie since it was a DIY organic product that is not commonly used, and also conveniently does not require a license to distribute. Out of extreme concern for our safety, we called the Department of Agriculture who were quick to interview him and find out the real pesticide used, then fined him with a CIVIL PENALTY for NOT DISCLOSING THE PRODUCT and for sending an UNLICENSED UNSUPERVISED TECHNICIAN to distribute pesticides at our home. We also had our house lab tested through the USDA and found very different components than the ones used in the organic product he insisted was used. Unbelievably, after all this, he still would not provide his insurance information to help us replace our kitchen cabinetry, so we had to get a lawyer to find them and deal with them (after fees we did not fully recover the costs we had to pay to replace our cabinetry). This ordeal went on for MONTHS, all the meanwhile we received notes from the owner DENYING RESPONSIBILITY for any wrong doing and claiming that we were just trying to get a new kitchen out of this which could not have been farther from the truth. We were DEVASTED by this ordeal, we LOVED our initial (and even freshly painted) kitchen and because this carried on for so long we had to cancel Thanksgiving & other winter holiday plans in our new home. Some advice: STAY AWAY from this shady business all together but if you have already had their service make sure they fill out your receipt in full (ours was left mostly blank). If you deal with any resistance like we did when you ask for information, report it to the DoA and make sure to also put in a Right-To-Know request at agriculture.pa.gov for your technicians licensing information. The civil penalty he received can also be found through this request since it's public information. read more

Evans Pest Control - Pest Control Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Absolutely love Evans so much I had to write a review! We've been using Evans for over a year and signed up for their quarterly service. Old rowhouse doesn't help when it comes to getting mice, but Evans has been keeping them at bay! Sean is an amazing exterminator- went above and beyond and even took time to give advice on where to seal and what to do in between visits. I can't recommend Sean and the rest of the Evans team enough! read more

This company has false advertisement I called them about a squirrel because on there website and this yelp page they clearly are capturing squirrels and raccoons , i was told they don't do wildlife read more

I used Evans years ago and was very happy with their termite control work. It may be necessary for me to call them again and I do so without trepidation. read more

I spoke with a woman, I do not remember her name, but the and infestation in my kitchen is over. Extremely knowledgeable.

The staff at Evan's Pest Control were all helpful, pleasant and professional, from the first phone call. The techs were great. They eradicated my mouse issue from the first visit. I was FREAKED OUT when I saw a mouse, and called them immediately. I've never had this problem, in 13 years, but I live in a row home and discovered that my next door neighbors have been dealing with mice for 6 months. Since Evan's came in and closed all possible openings, there have been no sightings or evidence of mice. The follow up appointment was just as important, and gave me peace in knowing the issue was corrected. I highly recommend them if you want service that thoroughly fixes the problem. read more

I absolutely love Evans Pest Control. I've been using them for sometime now. For the first year, Jeremy came out to do my maintenance every 3 months. I enjoyed his conversation. Great Guy!!! All the Technicians are pleasant and personable. Chuck has a great team I met Sean and he instructed me on some things and I followed thru with them. Thank You Sean. I will continue to use them for any pest issues. Thank you Chuck and the Team @ Evans Pest Control read more

We used Evans Pest Control in the past for a rodent problem and the exterminator was incredibly thorough and sealed up all the holes and crevices that rodents could enter the home. However, we recently moved to a newer neighborhood, and our second experience was not as pleasant. The exterminator gave us some basic preventative tips and set a few traps, but did not seal up any holes or pathways like the previous exterminator did. I am not sure why the quality of the services were so different, especially when the payment was the same. Our rodent problem was not solved after the second visit, we had to purchase a lot of material, and do a lot of work ourselves - which defeated the purpose of reaching out to Evans Pest Control. I am not interested in using Evans Pest Control in the future, unless we receive the same service as our first experience. read more

I have to say that I was disappointed with this company. I expected that I would be having someone seal holes, which is what I was really concerned about. For $162, I got a few bait traps, snap traps and one hole sealed. I pointed out several holes that I had found myself and asked that they be sealed. The response I received was "9 times out of 10, the mice are not coming from there." This was for at least 4 holes, one of which had the most "evidence" of entry. He only sealed the one hole behind the stove after I insisted. Now, 6 months later, what do I have? Mice. Got rid of the clutter, sealed my food- they're not eating it, but they are still coming in and and shitting all over the place. I do not recommend. read more

After the purchase of our new home, my husband and i quickly realized that we inherited some unwanted tenants. We had one visit from Evans and I haven't seen a mice since, not even dropping in their regular hiding place. So happy I took the time to research this company. 100% this company & its employees are outstanding! I had fleas 2 weeks ago and was unable to hire a company because they were all booked up. When I called Evans Pest Control, Tiffany was so sympathetic & apologetic she was unable to schedule me for 3 weeks. However, she took the time to tell me & offer their professional product, how to apply it and what steps to perform before & after! Who does that! Miraculously, probably due to a cancellation (I was too grateful & excited to ask) Ryan came out & sprayed my entire house, basement & yard!! What a relief! FYI: I had The WORST experience with Terminix who scheduled my appointment, charged my credit card & then proceeded to re-schedule me 3 times!!! Typical bait & switch fore knowing they too were fully booked! Thank you Tiffany, Ryan and everyone at Evans Pest Control - you are the most ethical, professional, friendly & helpful people I've encountered- YOU ARE ALL THE BEST!! Grateful in Fishtown :) read more

Just about as nice, fast, professional, and efficient as they come. Great customer service from my very first phone call to the very last visit. It's nice to see an old fashioned family business doing a great job. Always going to support local business over a big chain. This team did a fantastic job at our home. Woman who answered the phone was great right to technician was great the owner was so nice and helpful. . I truly can't say enough. They were neat and clean and respectful and no nonsense. Very fair price, I highly recommend them! read more

Much to our horror, we found a bedbug in our house a few weeks ago. My husband and I both work in education/social services so it's not totally surprising but was horrible to find. I called and spoke with Charles and he was at my house less than an hour later. He walked through every room with me and we inspected every corner of my home. While we couldn't find any evidence of other bedbugs, it was clear that the one we found was an adult, that had recently fed and could have laid eggs that we could not see. Charles laid out all our options for us. We decided to have the entire house treated, before this became a massive problem. He gave us a very fair price and came out the same week. He also sent us very specific instructions or what to do to prep the house. His brother Jeremy came to treat our house and they warranty for three months with the option we selected. Both Charles and Jeremy were extremely helpful and professional. They were easy to contact, extremely flexible with times, and most importantly, they were knowledgable and fair. I hope we never have to hire an exterminator again but if we do, we would absolute hire Evan's. read more

Had a bad mouse problem that was too much for me to deal with on my own. Jeremy was great! He was on time, professional, and took the time to explain everything he was doing and why. The job was thorough and they spent a lot of time on the initial visit getting down to every last detail. Today was the follow up visit and as we suspected the problem areas that were treated showed evidence that the mice had taken the bait. Those areas were retreated and the mice are gone as far as I can tell. After spending a bunch of money on traps and baits that didn't work, I'm glad I finally called Evans. It was well worth the money I paid them to get the job done right! I would gladly recommend them to anyone. read more

As good as it gets is an understatement..... had them come out last month for mice infestation and the mice were dropping dead in the middle of the floor within 24 hours. The wanted to do a follow up cause they were so bad....i wanted to wait till i had my basement cleaned out ....they came back and once again they are dying in the middle of the floor. Recently moved into an apartment to find mouse droppings in my oven. Called Evans after seeing the excellent yelp reviews. They were able to schedule an appointment for me next day, the receptionist on the phone was very friendly and accommodating. When the exterminators arrived they were friendly and gave a careful examination of all possible entry points for rodents. They than set traps and filled in any holes with steel wool and foam. read more

Asked them to sort out a mouse problem in the house, which involved two separate visits: one initial appointment to set traps and bait stations and to seal holes, and the other a couple weeks later for a follow-up. The folks at Evans are professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. Jeremy really knows his stuff, and he seems like he genuinely enjoys helping people out with these types of issues. I would highly recommend Evans Pest Control. read more

Problem: Fleas Owner of 2 cats Highlights: - local - the main office provided the steps I needed to take before someone came out to treat my house. - someone (Jeremy) came out to my house within 2 days. - My entire house was treated for a reasonable and expected cost. - Jeremy kindly and confidently answered my 1,000 questions. - He also provided his number and gave me updates (with pictures) to reassure my flea problem was being taken care of. - This service included a follow up service 2 weeks later. - Everyone I spoke to at the main office (Jen and Albury) were very friend, patient, and also answered all my questions. Thank you! Recommendations: - Call to confirm your date and time the day before - If you are getting your house fogged be sure to remove the flammable vapor sensor. The treatment will destroy it and its $45 to replace it. Thank you, Evans! read more

I never post in yelp but based on my experience today with Evans I felt compelled. I can't remember her name, but she was EXCELLENT! Last week I moved into a newly built home that to my surprise came with unwanted rodents. The first time I saw one, I called any exterminator I could find online and he was completely not impactful- actually a waste of money. I was losing sleep, afraid to cook and go near my kitchen. I then did my research 3 days later and decided to call Evans. They were worth the wait. The person who came to see today me took her time and examined every aspect of my home both inside out outside. She quickly identified where this intruder(s) entered and exited. She sealed off any other potential entrances. And went that extra mile to explain everything to me. For the first time in a week, I feel calm and optimistic that my problem is solved. I cannot thank you enough!! read more

Evans was amazing! Highly recommend them to anyone worried about creatures in and around their home. We purchased a home in August and noticed the wood floor being damaged along the side outside wall of the house...which was not found in our inspection. We called 3 or 4 places and Evans not only was the first to respond, but they were also the most helpful as I was not sure what was doing the damage (mice? termites? some other Philly creature?) For the initial set-up/consolation, Charles was very prompt in regards to communication, appointment set up and thoroughness. He provided an estimate quote for the termite spraying and all of the steps he would take if we moved forward with their company. Once we decided to move forward, appointment setup was easy and we were given a two hour arrival window. They arrived near the beginning of the window, which is always a welcomed surprise with any type of in-home service. While working, Charles and Andrew were professional, cleaned up all themselves and worked swiftly. They also walked me through everything that was being done and what to expect in the coming months. I was also very happy to hear there was a warranty with the specific service we had provided (termite treatment). This was my first experience with pest control and I absolutely recommend them highly! read more

We are so happy we hired Evans to help us keep mice out of our South Philly home. They are super responsive to phone calls and can even do scheduling by text, which is really helpful! We've worked with Jeremy and Mike. Both were really nice and very competent. They knew how to shut down channels that mice use to travel around a house. We're so grateful to be mice free! read more

I thought i had Bed Bugs and used Yelp to identify the best choices. I feel blessed that Evans was my final choice. Everything about my experience was great. The other companies were quoting $600-$900 before getting to my home. But not Evans. He searched diligently, showing me what he was doing as he worked. I thought i might have been bitten by mosquitoes, so he went looking for a problem in my back yard. He helped me clean up underneath my bed. He helped me put on my new mattress cover. He worked hard; he made sure my house was not infected, and he helped me any other way he could. I will always use Evans. I wish there service line was greater. I would use them for everything. read more

My boyfriend and I used Evan's pest control recently due to a common Philadelphia issue. They were extremely friendly and thorough. They certainly put me at ease after the first visit. To make things better, they even do a follow up visit a few weeks after, and offer a 45 day warranty deal. I'm so happy I stumbled upon their website. They'll certainly be my go to guys if I ever need an exterminator again. read more

Thrilled and relieved that the situation with the mice are under control. So I received a call from one of my tenant last week. She was complaining that she saw a mouse in the kitchen several times. I did a little research and came across Evans Pest control. Due to the positive online reviews, I decided to give them a shot. Charles arrived at the location between the exact time we were scheduled for. He called 15 minutes and told me he was on his way. The whole experience is refreshing. Finally a company that do what they said they were going to do. Once arrived, it took less than 30 minutes for him to perform his service. His price was fair, all in all, I have to say Charles was professional and takes his job seriously. He also didn't try to up charge additional services to me, he was upfront and told me that I shouldn't have any issues going forward. If I do, it would be at a discount fee, not the same initial rate as the first time. I was surprise for a change and realize I need to lock in his number in. There are not a lot of honest professional out here these days. Everyone is trying to gouge you with every opportunity they get. So I would definitely recommend Evans Pest Control if you need an exterminator. read more

Unfortunately very disappointed with my service. I have been dealing with an extensive mouse infestation for months. I am a young, single person with a very tight spending budget. After reading hundreds of reviews, I made a very deliberate decision to go with Evan's because it seemed like I'd get the most out of my nearly $300 investment. Unfortunately, the service I received was extremely rushed and haphazard. He did not even bait half of the traps, and barely looked around for entry points (I later found 5 very obvious holes that he had completely overlooked). After two weeks passed, I realized the problem had actually gotten worse. I cancelled my follow-up appointment, filled the holes I had found on my own, and bought better glue traps (theirs were cheap) and properly baited them. I have since made slight progress. I really regret using this service. I feel like I flushed $300 down the toilet. The reason I am giving 2 stars is because everyone I dealt with throughout the process was very friendly. Maybe this was an exceptional case, but I strongly feel that I did not receive the service I paid for. read more

Jeremy was courteous, helpful and thorough. He told us exactly what to do to get rid of our awful pest problem. Jeremy himself spoke to our landlord about the problems with our house and gave him detailed instructions on what to do to stop this from happening to us again. This company and Jeremy did more for us in two hours than our landlord's recommended exterminator did in the previous four visits. We are grateful for the follow up period and the detailed invoice that was emailed to us for our records. This company is polite, professional, and my boyfriend and I were very impressed. We will not hesitate to refer other people to them. There's a reason why they've never had a less than 5 star review. read more

I can't overstate how impressed I was with the friendliness, professionalism and thoroughness of Krystal, the exterminator from Evans Pest Control - as well as the people who initially handled my inquiry and followed up. Fast, friendly, efficient and accommodating - and worth the cost. The other services I've used in the past pale in comparison with Evans, who even sent a report detailing everything they found and did in my house in order to alleviate my mouse infestation. I would recommend this company to anyone struggling with any sort of pest invasion. read more

About 2 weeks ago I had found a live bedbug crawling on me. I immediately called a referral and to my amazement, Evans pest control was minutes later at our door step. Jermey was so helpful and informative, he assured me this problem was going to go away. We live in a very small house with no closet space and with a 4 year old, the house is filled with toys! Jermey was kind enough to give me thorough directions and helpful advice in making his job and ours easy and quick! He showed up a few days later and gave us a very reasonable price and was in and out in an hour and halfs time. They house was put right back together when we arrived home. He followed up with us a few days later and made a follow up appointment quicker than we expected. If you want honest service with respectable, knowledgeable and sincere employees...make the call the Evans Pest control! read more

I've never had to call a pest control service before and after my experience with Evan's I won't be calling anyone else. Jeremy was everything you could want when you're a wimp with a mouse under your fridge. He was on time, friendly, and explained everything he was doing. He definitely exceeded every expectation I had when he swept and cleaned under the fridge, laid bait and poison that was safe for my cats, and sealed not only the hole the mouse chewed behind the fridge but he also found and sealed a hole behind the stove and outside in my patio. When I had a concern that there was another issue Charles came out and put my mind at ease. It's very clear that your complete satisfaction is very important to Charles and Jeremy. And of course Charles was right. No more critter sightings! I have no idea if their prices are comparable to other providers but I wouldn't ever risk paying less and getting inferior service. Can't recommend them enough! read more

We just had an unexpected ant issue in our pantry...on a Saturday. The wife was giving me that look like "either you or the ants...or both...are out of here....NOW." So I started calling around and Charles answered the phone -- he was quick, courteous, and told me someone would be out within the next few hours, prior to 3. At 1:30, Jeremy arrived, gear in hand, ready to go to work. He took care of the immediate issue, and sprayed our entire exterior and interior areas. He was thorough, courteous, and explained what he was doing. By 2 PM it was all complete, and my wife is happy again...which means I'm happy again. Thanks Evans! read more

I recently had to contact Evans Pest Control again for my home after we suspected we had termites. They came out quick and were able to figure out we had carpenter ants almost immediately. They came back and treated the problem area and we haven't seen an ant since. I really appreciate the customer service and honesty of this company, and their prices are more than fair.
