We have had dead mice in our kitchen drawer since last week in traps they set. They were supposed to come remove them but never showed up. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and have contacted three different tech people, the main Critter Control number, the district manager, and three times the sales manager that had sold us the job. This company is a scam! They also go by the name of Critter Control here in Philadelphia, PA. This GA address was on our contract. On December 8 2023, Critter Control sent a sales guy named Brian Wistner. He was here for 40 minuets assessing the situation and said he would get a quote to us. Over a month went by with us trying to reach him. No response. Finally I called to speak with a exec from the company and someone named Sophia Evans, the Regional Customer Relations Lead for the North East spoke with me. Sophia Evans finally got Brian Wistner to send an estimate. He wanted close to $3000 to install a few cages around openings in the property where the raccoons were likely entering. It was ridiculously high, but we desperately needed to get them out, and were promised they would help. They asked for a $1700. deposit which we paid. Then Brian disappeared again! After 2 months of no response, I finally called Sophia Evans again and she got Brian to finally send someone. They installed one tiny cage, for a small squirrel, that was it! There was a major hole which Brian said at the estimate was likely the main entry for the raccoons, and was most important to cover. This was never done. Then Brian then told us he wanted the electric company to cover the main service wires, running next to the house. The wires aren't close enough to the house to interfere with what they needed to do, but we complied. That took a couple of more weeks to have done. This was in March. Again Brian has disappeared! Three weeks ago I called and spoke with Sophia Evans again. She said she call him and get back to me. After speaking with her, Brian Wistner called back and said someone would come out the following week. Three week later and we have not heard from Brian or Sophia. We want a full refund from this fraudulent company and Brian Wistner and Sophia should be fired! We hope we can avoid suing Critter Control in small claims court, but they are leaving us no choice. read more

I called critter control because I have a fox problem. They said they could remove it. Would bait traps and leave for 3 weeks. I asked how far away they would take the fox. Was told 3 miles. Guess what, that fox would return post haste. So would raccoons. And I cancelled when I heard the price of 3800 to 4000. Outrageous, will eliminate the problem myself. read more

TL;DR: Employees were courteous in person, however, scheduling was a pain, and their "full exclusion" is not actually a full exclusion - it is whatever they can identify on their first walkthrough. First, there was an initial free inspection scheduled. They took a walk around the home and then recommended a $2,900 full home exclusion service and a monthly $70 recurring service. The full home exclusion identified several entry potential entry points. This is where they did not do the job they set out to do. 1) During inspection they stated and sent pictures that they would seal up potential entry points. They either forgot what had taken place during inspection or did not even bother to seal what they took pictures of. They even took pictures of the garage as potential openings and did not seal them. 2) They took pictures of holes around the basement windows and did not seal them even after 3 exclusion visits. It took multiple emails, and twice upon stating they would come on the property they never showed. It took follow-up emails just to get them to come and finish the work they were contracted to start. Example: they did not show on the date that they agreed to, afterwards never proactively contacted me as to what happened - I had to send follow-ups in order to get these things fixed. Also they never even fixed all of the "gaps" that they identified. read more

We had a hole in the under decking of an overhang where something was living and scratching. There was also extensive work done by roofers a decade ago that did not allow sufficient breathing room for the health of the roof. The proposal was to install a one way trap to empty the roof of any wildlife and then to return to patch the hole. In addition, they removed the siding that covered mesh and covered it, instead, with critter proof wire. They started badly because they used a clear silicone to seal the wire mesh, which was unsightly, but when I complained they trimmed up the edges a bit and used a brown silicon to match the wood underneath, disguising the edges of the wire. If the price had been 1/2 of what it was, or even 2/3rd's I would have given them five stars. BTW, the company has been acquired by a multi-state corporation and no longer operates with the same management. read more

Critter control came out to help me. I have groundhogs. The gentleman said he wouldn't be surprised if they catch more than we thought were there! That was probably because of the amount of holes around my mobile home. This service cost me over 1200.00! I really believed they were gonna do all they could to help me. However, I would not recommend this service to anyone! They put three traps to begin with, and then another one on the fourth day. After 5 days they took the cages and that was that. I really appreciated his response and interest in what happened. He was extremely understanding and said this is far from how they do business. It was not typical for Critter Control and how they do business. He admitted that the response to my phone calls (or lack of response) was not how they do business and they dropped the ball on my situation. I have to say that I am happy as to how this was resolved. It meant a lot to me that he took the time he did to make the effort to correct the problem. Critter control guaranteed that they would get the squirrels out of my ceiling and seal up the entry holes. The cost was $1800. They stated that if I didn't go with them after they performed the initial inspection that I would be charged an additional $300 if they had to come back out, so I allowed them to get started. They installed a one way door, which allow the squirrels to leave out the ceiling, but but would prevent them from re-entering. They said that they would return in 10 days to seal up the entry point, spray some pesticide and some anti pheromone spray. Well they didn't return for a month and I told them that the squirrels were still going in and out of the house. They removed the one way door, left and charged me the full $1800. I requested a refund because the squirrels remained in the ceiling. They denied the refund, stating that although the squirrels remain, their guys did "some" work. Rip offs. read more

Very disappointed in their customer service. We had them come out in 4/2018 to install something to help with our woodpecker problem on our chimney. Less than 1 year later the device fell off our roof and they refused to come out and replace it without charging us another hefty service fee. The device is cheaply made for outdoor conditions and should be able to last in the elements more than a year without having to replace it and charge customers service fees for coming out again. despite calling them repeatedly asking them to replace the poorly made clip, they refused without charging us a service fee. read more

I thought critter control was a bit high dollar wise for the "actual" amount of work that was done. He put out squirrel traps that tool all of 5 minutes. He didn't come back until 3 days later, meanwhile a squirrel was trapped right after he left. The trapped squirrel was on our porch roof then immediately fell off onto our pool deck and our dogs kept going outside to sniff it. Like I said, he didn't come back for 3 days and the squirrel had died. I didn't like that, AT ALL!!!! Overall, he took another 5 minutes to patch the hole where the squirrels were getting in and that was that - end of $598.00 job. A bit exuberant don't you think, for 10 minutes of work. read more

We had squirrels in our attic. Their solution is to put a baited squirrel trap on the roof and charge $129 every time they come to empty it. Since you don't want to leave an animal trapped in there, that means AT LEAST $129 PER DAY catching squirrels from the yard, from the trees, and maybe not at all from the attic. It was a ridiculous, expensive venture paying them to catch every squirrel that wandered onto our roof while the attic squirrels continued to go about their normal business.. Call A Wildlife Pro instead - they had a sensible approach. They sealed the entry points to the attic and put a one-way door on there. So, as squirrels left the attic to forage for food, they couldn't get back in. Once you stop hearing squirrel noises, they remove the trap door and put a permanent seal on. In less than a week at far less expense, they solved our problem. read more

After laboring through infomercial literature in the internet and reviews, we contacted Critter Control after another leading contractor did not want to do what the infomercial said they should and would cost a lot because of distance. Terry of Critter Control was terrific to work with. He was down to earth and easy to relate to. In the first session, he taught me so much about how to monitor my squirrel and worked with me so we can know our enemy. By the second session, because our squirrel was too smart for the traps, he set up barriers so that squirrel could not return. Price was right for the work as well. After 24 years of peaceful coexistence I had to make the difficult decision to have our resident 4 groundhogs removed, after they starting entering the small dog yard and injured the eyelid of one dog. Of course as an animal lover I wanted a humane situation of relocation. After lots of internet research I chose Critter Control. They responded quickly to our call and educated us about the process and what safeguards were taken to protect the animal once trapped, including timeframe for removal and relocation. The field tech was equally educational and carefully looked over the property before choosing a place for the trap. On 2 days that were very hot, the tech came out promptly to remove the trapped animal (the trap does have a shade cover). After 4 days, all had been trapped. Critter Control found that we had flying squirrels in our attic. They sealed up all possible entry points in our roof, exterior walls, doors and foundation. They allowed the largest hole to remain open, and set up a one way door on it. Critters could get out, but not back in. Since flying squirrels must go out at night, they were gone within a day. I saw one poor soul trying to get back in. Sorry, squirrel. After a week or two, Critter Control came back to remove the door and seal up the hole. That was about a year ago. No returns.
