This company is a rip off and you you can't get in touch with anyone when you need help. Every time you call, you are put on hold and no one seems to know what's going on with the techs or estimators. They are trying to overcharge me when they didn't even do the treatment, and are ignoring me when I call and email them. What they did treat, did absolutely nothing. I'd stay far far away. read more

The service I received was above and beyond what I expected! I had a problem with Bees on my patio and called multiple pest control companies in Morris County, but Humphreys was the fastest to respond and the most understanding of my situation. They came right out and dealt with the problem that day. The serviceman explained exactly what he was doing and how he was going to do it. The serviceman said to call back if I see anymore problems. About 2 years ago, I came across probably one of the homeowner's worst nightmare... a mouse!!! Let me tell you that I have a phobia for anything that looks like a rat (that means I also hate squirrels, guinea pigs, hamsters, chipmunks)! I'm also very OCD so I was so upset when I saw the mouse in my kitchen (how typical right?) just before I was heading to work one morning. My sister in law had mice problem in her basement and she recommended Humphrey's since she haven't had a problem since she used their services. We called Humphrey''s while the mouse was still underneath the fridge and I was still hysterically crying out of fear and covered the fridge are with huge boxes (pls don't mind my silliness). Within 3 hours, Humphrey's came to my house for a consultation and found that the mouse crawled from one of the vents from the basement, actually he chewed the corner of the sheet rock to crawl himself out and they found some droppings in the basement as well as found that there are open holes (DUH!). He recommended that we put these black boxes where they have poisonous baits inside and only a mouse can crawl into it. Once they eat the bait, it will make them dehydrated and force them to go out to look for water. Within few hours, they will inflate because of the poison and die somewhere out there but not in your house. They usually put these boxes in the basement where it's easier for them to crawl into your house as well as in the garage. I told the guy to go ahead and put them NOW but he said that he will come back in 4 days to install and to seal the holes in our house. This was my reaction: ME: "wait a sec, what do you mean? Are you saying you will be back on Saturday.. but what about the mouse in the kitchen?" HIM: "Sorry lady, we exterminate using these boxes but we don't chase mice" ME(MY FACIAL REACTION): :-/ I had no choice but to wait for my husband to come home so he can deal with the mouse. Long story short, the mouse came out, ran into the bathroom, hubby goes into the bathroom after I brought him the plunger (still frantically crying especially since I fell down the stairs...and im bleeding), and kills him! It's been 2 years since the incident and I haven't seen a mouse, but there are traces of bait bites in the basement. Need to continue to seal those little holes. We signed up for the quarterly service check up and they do a good job of following up with a phone call to remind you and schedule the appointment. They always come on time. read more

Contacted Humphrey's to remove squirrels from our attic. Couldn't trap any, then told us maybe it's mice. Paid to "rodent proof" which means block a hole. Charged us double what they said. Squirrels are still in the attic and now we have to repair damage. All they do well is cash checks. read more

Stirling location: Zero stars! The inspector did not even walk the entire perimeter of my house during the initial inspection to gain my business even though I was concerned about rodents and wanted rodent proofing. Then their most highly sought after tech comes out about 3 mos later and stated the mice boxes they left indicated no activity at all. He also gave me a quote claiming from the ground he could see I had holes in the roofline where they could get in. After calling for 3 weeks to follow up and get this quote, he stated it would cost $3400 to cover 24 holes in the roof-line and would be 3 days worth of work. I got a 2nd opinion from a very honest, 5-star reviewed pest control company that went on the roof and stated no indication of mice or holes! While we very much like to support local businesses, we had horrible service. After taking time off work to for two separate appointments, the first was cancelled due to to "truck problems" so we rescheduled for two weeks later, the soonest they could ostensibly do. On that day, no one showed up at the time, and so I called trying to find out what was happening. They assured me of a call back asap and that the tech would be out. No show, no call, and yet another week more went by (!!) until I finally called them again, giving them one last chance. The reply "we have no idea what happened" - and "no way we can come to your house this week." When I objected and indicated if they couldn't at least make it that week, I would cease service - she put me on hold/hung up on me !!!!! UNBELIEVABLE. After being a good paying customer for a year, for no reason at all... this was the treatment. Horrifying. read more

This business is plain awful not even worth 1 star but had to put 1 star to leave a review My problem is I had these small flying nats or fruit flys and I hired this company to come out and fix the problem they still can't tell me what kind of bug I have or know how to treat them they came out and put blue gel down my sinks which ended up clogging my whole plumbing system it backed up With brown gunk and the fly paper for the windows did diddly. I called this company not once but twice each time the person answering the phone gives me the run around for example I'm so sorry to hear that I'll get someone to call you back and no one does like they don't care almost like they are laughing haha we got your $400.00 and now we could care less about you this business needs to be shut down and the better business brough needs to be notified about how this company runs it's business read more

I have been a customer of Humphrey's Insect & Rodent Control Inc. for 15 years and was happy with their service, However, during the last 2 years, I noticed a slow but sure deterioration in the service. Appointments are made then not held. The technicians come too early or too late. Especially the office personnel doesn't really seem to know what they are doing as there is no consistency in their communication. Sometimes, one would be contacted by phone, then by email, then not at all. Staff member don't really know what the others do. I hope Humphrey's Inc. will improve their service fast as I am seriously considering switching to the competition! read more
