The kale salad is an absolute must, and honestly, you can't go wrong with any pasta on the menu -- total chef's kiss. This is real homemade pasta, and you can absolutely taste the difference. I genuinely have to resist coming here every week or I'll end up gaining 1,000 lbs purely from pasta consumption... but, honestly, it might still be worth it!

I explained why we were late and was told I could've called to tell them to let them know. They had my phone number and could've called to see if we were still coming. Found our new favorite date night spot!…read more I had been wanting to try the newest opening for a while now and I'm so glad we finally got to check it out. We knew we were going to get great food and cocktails just didn't know to the extent! Immediately we knew we wanted to sit in the outside/inside area because we came on a gorgeous day and those tables with the doors open and the plaza view had our names on it. They had a live singer at the plaza and people were dancing so it was the perfect spot to people watch. We came in confident ready to claim our table but what in the world were we thinking to come on a gorgeous Saturday for dinner with no resy's! Mistake number one was made (and it wont happen again I promise). We put our name down and were told we'd wait a good 45 min which was absolutely not a problem. I was going to have some kind of an end of summer spritz and enjoy outside while our table was ready. The cool thing is you can order at the bar and they'll give you to go cups (presentation won't be as pretty but it's ok) and then you can drink it only when you're outside which is pretty awesome. Problem is we didn't even make it to even finish grabbing our drinks to take them with us when they said our table was ready. I don't even think it was a total of 15 min max. Yay! We got the seat of our dreams facing outside and enjoying the last bit of summer brisk air and got to finally enjoying the first sips of my lavender Hugo spritz which was exactly what I wanted. Food ordering was hard but easy. Hard because we couldn't order all the things we wanted and easy because it was a no brainer. We went for the General Ty's Cauliflower and arancini as appetizers. MIND blown with the fried cauliflower. Prepared delicately, saucy and SOOOO crispy. The arancini were so delicate and the sauce was everything. For dinner we ordered the jerk burger (chickpea patty) and the refilled bowl (WOW!!!!). You can taste the freshness in every bite and the love they put into their dishes. Elevated classics without breaking the bank but also anywhere you sit at Lola's is a vibe. Obsessed at their use of local ingredients. I'm a huge fan of the refilled so getting to try their products in a vibrant dish was pretty awesome. Indoors is full of life, the bar is gorgeous and the energy in there is unmatched. The semi outdoor room is quiet, quaint and a bit more intimate even though it's so large. They have even a quieter more intimate section within the same space that I think you can book for large parties. I can't say enough great things about Lola's. Can't wait to come back and try more as they seasonally change the menu or add things. TBH I could come back and eat the exact same thing every time and I wouldn't be mad. Super belated welcome to Eastdale Lola's! I want the staff t shirt drip. Haha!

I liked that the menu has a good variety, especially if you're looking for something on the lighter side. The food wasn't bad, but I did find myself wishing for a little more flavor and seasoning overall. The wraps are packed -- definitely not skimpy! They're filled to the brim and come with a generous amount of sauce, but that also makes them a little difficult to keep together after a few bites. Definitely have some napkins handy! Overall, a cute spot with a nice atmosphere, plenty of space, and a solid variety of lunch/brunch options. I'm glad to see more places like this popping up in Eastdale!

They do not have a phone number, but we made a reservation and they ended up reaching out to us following up on our concern about vegetarian options. They are actually quite accommodating, mentioning that several options can be made vegetarian and describing the dishes in further detail. Our server was amazing, very friendly and inquisitive. She mentioned that she's not local, but just comes up time to time because she's close with the owner. When she learned that we were new to the area, she shared a drink with us on the house! The food was surprisingly good! We ordered the broccoli nuggets and they were fantastic, with plenty of chew and a dipping sauce that really balanced everything out. I did not expect to like them as much as I did. Our drinks came out quickly and were very well-balanced. For entrees, I had the meatball sandwich (a special) that was delicious but also lighter than I expected, in a good way. My wife ordered pasta that was bright and fresh. We didn't have room for dessert, but the owner makes unique and fun ice cream sandwiches that we'll try next time. The flavor changes each week!

We started with Drinks. I had the Martini Special for the 4th of July and my husband had a Apple Spritzer made with Champagne. We went out to dinner today for my birthday. We started with the crispy brussel sprouts appetizer. It is sooo good. We had the Pan Seared Chicken which came with Fresh sautéed Green Beans and Polenta. The polenta was served in a square. I liked it that way and it made it easy to dunk in the Mushroom Gravy that came with the Chicken. My Mom had the Pan Seated Chicken too but they accommodated her by making a separate gravy minus the butter and hers was served with Salad & French Fries. We also had the Steak Tacos and a Watermelon Salad which was also delicious. We ended with dessert which was a Rubard Lemon tart and Black Raspberry Ice Cream wth whipped cream and a cherry. We totally enjoyed ourselves. My Moms have been coming to this restaurant for years. They also have a outdoor area behind the main restaurant called The Hill whete they have live music. The Restaurant is very clean, there is stonework throught out. It has a very warm relaxing vibe to it. As walk through the doors you are Always Welcomed with a Smile. We could barely eat the food it was so hot... there was also no air flow and everyone at our table could barely breathe it felt like, hence why it was hard to enjoy anything. Staff was sweet, but we lost our waitress halfway through which was aggravating. Our food came out and we asked for more drinks (soft drinks) and condiments and she never came back until we hunted her down for the check. Don't think we will be coming back.

We had the squash bread with apple jam and the bone marrow + steak tartare as starters. Both were so good, especially the steak tartare that just tasted so clean and fresh, pairing nicely with the richness of the bone marrow. It came with these little potato slices that were scooped out to provide a perfect vehicle for the marrow/tartare. My partner had the carrot tart tartin, which he loved, and my scallops with morel mushrooms were perfectly cooked, with the hazelnuts providing such a nice texture. He enjoyed his phony negroni (they also had other NA options, including other mocktails, an NA beer, and an NA Riesling) and I really liked my Good Shepherd cocktail, their unique take on a dirty martini. We were too full for dessert, unfortunately. The service was great - attentive and friendly, but it felt like we were able to take our time and enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed, even though the place was busy. Figured I'd try the place earlier this week based on the yelp reviews. Restaurant is in a space…read morethat's had a lot of turnover through the years, but reviews were good and it looked updated. Sat at the bar and ordered a strawberry mojito. Fresh strawberries and mint were nice to see, but there was hardly any alcohol in the drink and the straw was far too narrow to be able to take a sip without it becoming obstructed. Poured woefully short as well, topped with even more ice and seltzer. Had the tempura shrimp to start. Generous portion, well seasoned. Slightly rubbery but not detracting from the dish. Aioli was great, but could have used a little more. Chili sauce was also good, but could barely get any in the ramekin it was in. Bacon cheeseburger with mushroom for my main followed. Looking back, there was actually NO bacon on the burger. Not sure if the kitchen overlooked it, or what. $4 for added mushrooms seemed a bit exorbitant at first, but they were oyster mushrooms. Fries were crisp and wonderfully seasoned. Ordered the burger medium - came out medium and juicy.... But absolutely flavorless. If their head chef loved salt like their fry cook, this burger would have been spectacular. The mushrooms never got to drive off extra water because of the lack of salt, and the meat just fell flat without seasoning. I wanted to love this burger, but I just couldn't no matter how hard I tried. Had the crack pie, advertised to be similar to Monofuku Milk Bar... for someone who had crack pie multiple times before it became the phenomena it is now, this falls short, by a lot. The chess pie filling is far too dense, lacking caramelization. The pie crust was undercooked and anemic. Sugar decoration on top added zero value to the dessert, and coconut ice cream is far too competitive a flavor to put against this dessert. Sauces on the plate were weak and boring eye service. Paid my $80 bill, tipped (even though the bartender was rarely seen or asking how things were), and headed out. For a quiet weekday, the service and quality of food were severely underwhelming.
