Oh man. I was feeling tired, passing through town so I stopped to get a snack. I ordered 3 traditional spring rolls, 3 pork egg rolls, and the Vietnamese iced coffee. The spring rolls were light and fresh with a delicious peanut sauce. The egg rolls were so tasty, warm and satisfying. Lastly, the iced coffee was perfect. Way to hit the spot!! Interior is super clean and inviting. Also, the people working here were very cool and friendly. I'm so sad I don't live around here. If I did it'd be a regular stop for sure. read more

VietShack has been my go to lunch and dining spot since it opened near my workplace. Since the pandemic, weekly VietShack visits for takeout have been the norm for me and my crew. Where should I start? The vermicelli bowl with grilled pork, shrimp and tofu (I've had them all in various combinations) is perfectly made and especially refreshing in the summer. The garlic noodles and shrimp is simple yet a taste sensation. The bahn mi (grilled pork) is one of the best in the Valley. One of my sons wakes up craving for the Shack fried rice. Each takeout run, I have to get 2 orders of shrimp egg rolls because it's just THAT good. Thoung is the consummate host and maestro of this jewel of an operation. He and his family and team work so hard to bring customers a bit of happiness during these difficult times. And yes, everyone is on point in terms of practicing basic but necessary COVID-19 safety precautions. I enjoy and look forward to our weekly visits and judging from their busy pace, many others justifiably feel the same. read more

We've had delivery from here a couple of times. The menu isn't large but everything we've had has been delicious. Even after making the journey to us, the egg rolls have been crispy and flavorful (often not the case with fried foods). Lotus root salad and vermicelli bowls are also excellent. I ordered the pork vermicelli bowl and pork belly spring rolls. The pork was marinated perfectly and fish sauce was delicious in the vermicelli bowl. We get vietshack once a week now and the food never disappoints!! Seriously this place is such a gem! The prices are right and everything we order is always so fresh, simple but has so much flavor. We normally get the bahn mis with pork belly, probably one of the best ones I've had moving here to Phoenix! Haven't been to the restaurant yet but we had food catered at our work place for around 50 people. The egg rolls were fantastic. They were still very crunchy and delicious. The bahn mi also held up very well for being catered. The chicken wings were very good but would probably be better right out of the kitchen. Also had a beef noodle dish that probably would be better at the restaurant. Will have to try to dine in but would definitely get this catered again. read more
