The owners of this place were servers at Viet Taste and they now opened their own restaurant. The place is absolutely delicious! It is a bit cheaper than Viet Taste and it is so much better, I think. I now have definitely found my go to pho place. I ordered the spring rolls which were absolutely delicious and a number 9, which is a combination beef noodle soup. I travel to Albuquerque a couple times a year. The 1 place I make sure I stop to eat is Viet's Pho. The beef wrapped in grape leaves, the clay pot, the shrimp... oh my goodness. All fantastic. I will stop here every time I am in town. Every time. Even though I only come twice a year, they remember us and know what we like. Very clean facility and good experience. Visiting NM for work and have eaten at a few Pho places and would come back to this one. I had a complaint about something and they took it very serious and remade my pho tai and were extremely polite and considerate about it. Lots of seats and space for large party's and individuals. No disposable chopsticks and they were spot less. Cilantro and basil were very fresh and the limes were juicy. Good quality broth that wasn't loaded with MSG but is still flavorful. Viet's Pho consistently delivers a mighty tasty & massive bowl o' pho. The few other dishes I've tasted there were also always flavorful, when dining companions were generous enough to share. Myself, I seem to be stuck on their pho, which is not a bad spot to be stuck in. Staff is solid on the friendly & helpful side. I've always been seated & orders taken in a very timely manner. Language hasn't been an issue, in spite of occasionally strong accents making paying close attention a necessity. They've accommodated requests for altering dishes with good grace & a smile. Prices are plenty cheap. Pho comes in around $8, which is pretty typical for the Duke City. So if you're in the area, stop in & give these folks a try. Every city I visit, I'm always craving some Vietnamese food, so we were excited to see that there were quite a few Viet restaurants in Albuquerque. I was contemplating on what to order here. Everything sounded great from the Pho Ga, Bun Bo Hue, and Hu Tieu! After spending so much time staring at the menu, I opted for the Hu Tieu with Udon Noodle Soup. I'm so glad I got it because it tasted so comforting for a chilly night and I overall just love udon! The portions were huge and I wasn't able to finish. Luckily my boyfriend was able to finish his Pho dish and finish the rest of my Udon soup also. Very impressive. If you're looking for a quick pick me up, be sure to order a glass of the Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese Iced Coffee w/Condensed Milk). Wasn't feeling great the other day, and my go-to for that is always, always pho. This has been on my list for a while so it was the perfect opportunity to try it. We ordered: Pork spring rolls Egg rolls Pork and egg roll rice noodle bowl Combination beef noodle soup Meatball beef noodle soup We ordered several items without bean sprouts and they were kind enough to inform us that the spring rolls typically come with bean sprouts too, which I didn't know, so we were able to opt out for those, too. They were perfect without :) Everything was super good and just as delicious at home as I imagine it'd be dining in (can't wait for that again!). Broth was flavorful and definitely hit the spot, and the rice noodle bowl was a big hit with my little one (plus leftovers for the next day). They have some of the best COVID-safe practices I've seen, from allowing only 1 person inside at a time (more of a window situation) to sanitizing after each customer to separating dirty/clean pens. Easily one of the most affordable, flavorful Vietnamese restaurants in Albuquerque, bordering on 5-star. I've now heard/read from several sources that the owners are former servers from Viet Taste, a veteran joint up the street which, while the road's been bumpy, own an incredibly loyal customer base. Just an observation, but me thinks the title of this here new place is a tad... inconsiderate? Especially if they manage to pull some of those customers in these doors, which seems inevitable, the food is fabulous. If you're game for boar, get anything with grilled pork. Absolutely astonishing texture, best in the city. I'm withholding judgement on the pho, just tried a sip of the beef, but I liked it. Like any Vietnamese adventure worth its salt, the menu goes on for days, and I eventually settled on vermicelli "patties" with a bevy of meats which, nearly instantly, were smothered in sriracha, hoisin and hot peppers -- that's just the way I roll. So good. Like I said, the price point alone is worth the drive. Another note about smart frugal decisions: ambiance. Wallpaper in this restaurant features simple, zentastic bamboo, immediately calming your inner hangry, and the delicate music -- nothing unusual, sort of a combo of Yo-Yo Ma, film orchestrations and twinkling filler -- add an eloquence to the space that, while cheap, absolutely works. They go through the trouble of papering each table between diners, again, inexpensively elevating the experience. Nice place for a bowl of pho. The service was so so. Our server did not come over much however everyone else seemed to pickup his slack. The pho was very good and the portions were insane. I'm used to the portions in FL so I always get extra noodles. Well this was the first time I was unable to finish the bowl because it was so huge. Egg rolls were good but a little greasy. Saw the high ratings so we decided to give it a try. Thoroughly disappointed... We ordered the pho, and both the broth and meat were of poor quality. The broth tasted like canned chicken broth and water, while the meat was fat and rubbery, which I had a difficult time "gnawing" on. The extra large bowl was $3 more, but filled 30% less, so it came out to the same size as the regular (Most Viet restaurants charge $1-2 for the upgraded size, yet here the $3 equates to approx. 38% more). Packets of salt-n-pepper, rather than salt-n-pepper shakers; little details like this are indicative of quality and effort of the ownership. We eat out for Vietnamese 2-3 times a week. The food was absolutely the worst Vietnamese food Ive had, and Ive eaten Vietnamese cuisine in SoCal, France, and Vietnam. Felt like a money grab, being that this restaurant is so new. I assume the high ratings are from friends and family. When you have the words "Pho" in your restaurant's name, that should be your speciality. read more

Not NY, not LA, not San Francisco, not Vegas. Albuquerque's own Viet's is the best. Who'd have thought. In my one visit my fiancé and I enjoyed 1- steak pho and 1- chicken noodle bowl Each was fantastic and delivered quick. But, the pho was so unbelievably flavorful and savory it was unreal. I felt embarrassed for the speed in which I devoured and "shared" with my fiancé, she was embarrassed by my behavior as well. I don't care. I love the delicious flavors here and the prices. I'm especially fond of the spicy lemongrass and rice dish. I've been twice now and I will go back. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful for navigating the menu. I don't know much about Vietnamese food, but when I ask questions here, they are quick to assist. Try their egg rolls , too! Crispy, delicious. I do have to admit, I like my egg rolls with Chinese mustard. I know, I know. But I do. It seems the honeymoon is over. I returned to Viet's Pho last week after several months, and I don't think I'll be coming back. I ordered a bowl of pho which was so disappointing I can't believe I ever liked this place. My biggest problem was the broth. On Wednesday night, the broth was thin and tasted gross. It was also inexplicably oily; each time I'd take a bite, I had to wipe off my greasy lips, staining through the napkin after just a few minutes. The noodles and vegetables were fine, but the broth truly ruined the dish. My girlfriend had the grilled chicken and chopped egg roll rice bowl, which was delicious as usual. The service was also fine, and for those reasons I am providing a three-star review. Honestly, the pho was so abysmal that I'd give one-star based just on that bowl of soup. I wish this business the best of luck. I will be seeking my pho elsewhere from now on. read more
