Pho Kup, newly opened since March, is located inside Green Jean Farmery. This new eatery has an interesting concept in which you get to choose your own noodles, meat and broth and size of the bowl (from a 32 oz or a 64 oz) you want for your pho. Being from California where the pho scene is plentiful and authentic, this place definitely did not match up to what I was expecting. I came here on a Tuesday afternoon around 5:20 pm. After looking over the menu, I ended up ordering: Minor size (32 oz) pho with thin rice noodles, smoke brisket and beef broth, $8.99 prior to tax- For a more traditional meal, I opted for the rice noodles and beef broth. The smoke brisket definitely seemed interesting so I got that. But I wished there was less fat on the meat, although it did taste good. The broth tasted just fine. I liked that my noodles, meat and vegetables were packed separately from the broth. Overall, I thought the pho was just average. Sorry, but I have actually had better. Shrimp Spring Rolls, $5.50 prior to tax- This order came with 2 shrimp rolls and a side of peanut sauce for dipping. This was rather disappointing because the rolls were not wrapped tightly and fell apart while consuming them. Major downfall. The sauce itself was on the sweet side and should be savory. ---------------------- (Total= $15.76 after tax) While I was waiting for my order (please note that I was the only person in line), I was disappointed to see one of the employees (wearing gloves) move her hair from her face with her hands. She should have switched to new gloves since she contaminated them. Also another employee in the back was showing her a video on his cell phone, who was also wearing gloves. Because he touched his phone, he should also change gloves (actually he probably shouldn't be having his phone out in the food prep area or when you are working). That definitely bothered me. Also even the employee (different from the other 2 described) who took my order was friendly, he knew nothing about the food items. He couldn't tell me anything about the spring rolls, about the broth or anything else on the menu, other that what the menu items came with (which you can just read off the menu). This employee definitely should get a taste testing of all the food items so that he can answer questions the customer may have about the food. Overall, this place was definitely a major let down, but I didn't have high expectations (sorry but when I think of Asian food, I don't often associate that with Albuquerque).

Delicious Pho. We each had a beef brisket pho with beef broth. I had the rice noodles, and my friend had udon noodles. Delicious! The medium bowl was packed with meat, noodles and veggies. They included cilantro, jalapeño pepper slices, and green onion. The spring rolls with sweet and sour sauce was good too. The place was clean and the service was friendly.

I've never met a bowl of pho that I didn't like, and I can't think of another delicacy where this is the case. A truly outstanding, superior slurp fest is an experience I'll retrieve from my memory bank months to come, but an inferior bowl is always reliably pleasant. Pho wraps its arms around you in the winter, and sweats the heat out of ya in the summer, and that's particularly key when it comes to this little local franchise, situated in an outdoor food court. We met some friends here on a cool February afternoon, layered in heavy jackets and fingerless gloves, and the warmth of the broth provided universal cheer. Pho Kup is a perfect fit for Green Jeans Farmery, and endlessly fun to say ten times, fast. Aside from dishing up a reputable feast (thus far I'm a fan of the Spicy Beef Lemongrass broth), this company nails portability and convenience. Your average Vietnamese joint will send you home with a giant styrofoam container of fixins and an awkward plastic vat. Pho Kup fits everything in two smallish bins, and the Minor size ($9) is a full meal. They've innovated a system that honestly delivers very good soup on the go. I wouldn't recommend the wings, but if you're feeling it, get some spring rolls, as well. I do have one recommendation for management: increase the size of the plastic spoons. The scoops are just too darn petty. That said, do it the old fashioned way: eat all of the goods, then tip that cardboard container to your lips and drink up. Delightful lemongrass burps await.

I got some pho to go today from pho kup. The employees were very friendly and helpful. I also got some of the fried eggrolls. The NM roll is a mac and cheese roll and IT IS GOOD!!!!!!! Overall I really recommend this restaurant. I also love the quirky, cool atmosphere of the green jeans restaurant collective. The whole place is so fun and inviting with lots of big windows and open air seating out on patios with Mountain View's!

Gross cilantro in the banh mi.

This is just for the bánh mì sandwiches. A little small for them to be 7 1/2 dollars. The cilantro on all of our sandwiches were gross, rotted and black and one little tiny sprig of cilantro is what they put. Having managed a Vietnamese restaurant before if my produce looks like this, I'm not serving it tonight apologizing to my guest saying I'm sorry our cilantro was not up to our standards and we're not putting it on our dishes tonight. Banh mi were really dry no mayo on them!!! they gave us packets of soy sauce, but wasn't told until after the fact that if I wanted Sriracha, it's $.50 additional cash only, who carries quarters nowadays? should've asked when we placed the order if we wanted any hot sauce because it was extra. New to the area probably won't be back to this establishment for any Vietnamese food. Coming from OC, we have huge Vietnamese culture and these aren't that great. Just opened my tofu sandwich tofu looks pathetic and it's the same issue with a cilantro

Loved it! The broth was good, the beef was good, the veggies were crunchy and fresh. Just a very simple and tasty dish. I've tried other pho places and this one stood out. My new favorite pho place. Also service is super nice so tip them. Ambiance was very laid back and chill.

I stopped by here for a Yelp event and it was delicious! The staff member was super friendly and helpful when I needed help with choosing what to get. A minor cup is perfect for a lunch meal! Definitely will go back!

Vegan dinner... tofu pho and rolls. very yummy
    Madeleine Y.

Super tasty food! Perfect for a comforting dinner! Easy to make it vegan with tofu. The pho quantity is also very good for the price! I will definitely go back for the food. However I only gave 4 stars because the staff was not the most welcoming and didn't know how to answer most of my questions regarding food. But all in all good experience and great tasting food

    Chicken wings...yum!!!
    Laura L.

Forgot how good their pho is....but their chicken wings...AMAZING!! Not battered but some how soo crispy & tasty!!!

    Lydia S.

This was my first experience here and it was delicious. I did try to order chicken in my pho but they were out so I just got veggie. I also got the pork egg rolls which were amazing. The food was fresh and filling. They do have two locations, one at green jeans and the other at tin can alley. The staff was friendly and quick.

Always love me some Pho Kup

The cold cuts were flavorful, the bread was fresh, and the meat to bread ratio was just right since I like more meat than bread. This is an excellent option for a quick lunch, but I would recommend staying to eat if you can. The decor is simple, the space is clean, and there are a few tables available. It does get busy during the lunch rush, but the line moves quickly and is well worth the wait. While the banh mi definitely steals the show, there are plenty of other options on the menu. Their banh cuon, thin rice noodles filled with ground pork and wood ear mushrooms, was good, though still second to the sandwiches. They also offer pate chau, a flaky puff pastry filled with pork pate, including a New Mexico style version with chicken and green chile. They have a variety of Vietnamese desserts like che, which I did not get a chance to try this time. My coworker loved their traditional Vietnamese hot coffee. I do not drink coffee, but I did enjoy one of their smoothies, which was refreshing and delicious. Overall, CODA Bakery is a go to spot for authentic Vietnamese flavors and one of the best places in Albuquerque for banh mi.

We stopped by early this Sunday morning and was pleasantly surprised that they have expanded the menu from mainly banh mi. The now have Pho and rice noodle dishes. B5 combo is a solid can't go wrong choice. All the protein was cooked well and seasoned nicely. Egg roll was good. Fish sauce is going to be the grey area because thats always personal preference, it was good, but would say more on the fishy side, which my fiance liked. Im used to my moms sauce which is more on the sweeter side. I also got an Vietnamese iced coffee and I will say it is probably the best Vietnamese ice coffee that I've had in thr ABQ area. Its was strong and nice and smooth. It wasn't too sweet. The reason why I say this is the best iced Vietnamese cofee I've had in ABQ is because other places, the Vietnamese coffee is bitter or its not balanced enough with flavor. At over $8 for a cup, it's pricey but if i need a Vietnamese coffee fix, this will be a good to spot. I will say they keep it really clean in there and the white esthetic was pleasing on this sunny Sunday while we were eating in there.

First, impression, the service was polite and understanding. The sandwich and drink came out within 10 min. Their Banh Mi was flavorful and was in a 9in roll that was lightly crispy and filled pretty well. I am used to shorter rolls that are stuffed way more. I felt like I ate more bread than toppings, otherwise I would rate it higher. It's about a $12 sandwich, on par with Subway footlong prices. The fruit tea was great, although I question the practicality of the canister it was served in. Instead of a plastic cup with a straw/no straw, it was in a plastic can that you can open like a soda can on top. I disliked how I couldn't reseal it or reuse it. If I wanted to recycle it, I'd have to put effort taking out the lemon wedges, which I did in order to. So, if I had the choice, I wouldn't get those cans. Everything costed about $20 before tip. I think in the future, I'll ask if I can get extra meat and veggies to make the Banh Mi feel more full. The place was also very bright and clean. I liked the atmosphere where there's plenty of seating. They also have every table with soup utensils and condiments bc they also serve pho.
