    Grilled chicken banh mi
    Stesha C.

Bahn mi were big! I've definitely paid more for sandwiches half that size. The bread is delicious and stays delicious even after a day in the fridge- mind blown! I got the grilled chicken banh mi with extra veggies on the way to an appointment. Planned on eating half, but scarfed the whole thing in the car. Picked up my man a combo bahn mi, he said the meat texture was a little strange, but delicious nonetheless. I ordered online and pick up was quick and easy Excited to come back to try their boba!

Restaurant is clean and spacious. Food is very good and filling. Their bread is the best. Service is quick and well organized.

One of my go to's when I'm in Albuquerque, though it's been a minute since my last visit and I didn't realize they changed locations and expanded. New spot is much bigger and still fills up. Got my usual pork banh mi and tried a side of fried tofu, both were amazing. Had the tofu with green onions and wood ear mushrooms, and it was so delicious and soft and sweet and perfectly paired with the fish sauce/soy sauce side. Pork banh mi was tasty and had such flavorful pieces of pork and were well distributed across the sandwich. Perfectly pickled daikon and carrots. Crowded even on a Thursday afternoon, but still were able to grab a table.

Coda Bakery is so amazing! It was my favorite meal of my trip to New Mexico. If you're in the area, you need to make a stop here. Love, Love, Love! This place has delicious Vermicelli Noodle Bowls and Bahn Mi Sandwiches. The grilled pork was a must get. The price is reasonable and there are plenty of seats inside to enjoy your meal at. The staff was very friendly. Plus there's free parking and restrooms inside. Highly recommend Coda Bakery and will definitely be back soon!

I had hit a point in my trip where my body just NEEDED Asian food. They had a ton of other items laid out for you to pick up, but I went solely to get my hands on a banh mi. Ordered a combination to share with my fiance and good thing I did! Sandwich was HUGE and packed with meat. Bread was soft and crunchy at the same time. Not too bready and definitely did not cut up the top of my mouth. Only thing I wished was more pate! The cashier's attitude could've been better. Asked her what's in the case since there weren't signs, but she answered like I'm bugging her. Followed up asking if they would have anything else pate filled, she just repeated her prior answer with extra annoyance. Observed her attitude with other customers and it was so inconsistent. Restaurant was large and clean. Not sure if it's a regular thing, but when I went to get napkins, there was a homeless lady there helping herself to a huge cup of water (and making a mess) and a ton of napkins.. None of the employees seemed phased? Good choice in ABQ to scratch the itch for Asian food. Customer service was a turn off.

Pandan cake - flavor was too subtle, but I liked the texture

Carryout shrimp spring rolls were just okay. They were large enough, and the lettuce was fresh, but the shrimp weren't seasoned or grilled. For $8, a little more flavor infusion would make a big difference. Peanut sauce: solid A.

Coda Bakery is my favorite Vietnamese deli of all time. Whenever I'm in town, I have to stop by here! Their bánh mì are incredible. The bread is freshly baked. The sandwich itself is huge. It is 12" long and they are generous with the amount of meat/filling. They have so many delicious, authentic Vietnamese snacks and treats, including chè, bánh da lợn, and xôi. I also like to buy their freshly made tofu and chả lụa. I love that they have a New Mexican fusion version of pâté chaud that is filled with green chile chicken. They used to be located near Talin Market, but they've since moved. The new location is bigger and more spacious.

Everything on the menu is a must to try! It maybe busy but all worth it especially the pork/shrimp spring rolls. It's no surprise when you see the long line and it's an experience to see how the new location is built.

Name a better place to get Banh Mi and Spring Rolls in ABQ, I'll wait. It's a busy spot but well worth the wait. There hasn't been a single item I've tried here yet that I'm not a fan of. My recent favorite has become the onion tofu banh mi. The thing that first caught my eye were the burrito sized spring rolls. Filled with pork and shrimp sausage. Make sure to get the one with some crunchy roll in them. I also love their viet iced coffee but only when I'm really needing that burst of caffeine. I love how friendly, prompt and efficient they are there. Not to mention the breads are baked in house. It's bustling seating area so I typically eat outside or grab my food to go. Highly recommend next time you are craving a banh mi.

Okay, I have to say this is the second time I've been here and unless something changes, this is a definite go to spot whenever I'm in ABQ! We had the rolled noodles, grilled pork sandwich, fried tofu, spring roll, and a chicken turnover type thing, and my all time favorite, the banh cam! My apologies but I was so excited to be here the second time I didn't take pics of all the food or the menu! I just wanted to EAT! Admittedly having my cute 1 yo grandson eating with us was also a major distraction. Okay back to the food! Loved the rolled noodles that come with fixings and spheres of meat. Had to ask my pals back in the Bay Area where I can get this dish so stay tuned for Bay Area and LA recs. Coda makes it great and I love the explosion of flavors and textures. Soft noodles filled with bits or pork and mushrooms contrasting with the cucumbers, cilantro, bean sprouts, fried garlic and spheres of meat. The sandwich is a foot long and way better than what you'd get at the famous "foot long" place. The bread is fresh, the veggies crisp and the meat perfectly grilled. The chicken turnover tasted like a buttery pot pie. Gson loved the buttery flakey shell. Mmmmm what's not to love about that? The fried tofu is made in house and it tastes nice and fresh. Make sure you eat it while it's warm and dip it on the soy sauce. The bahn cam is what I came for (and the noodles). It a great crunchy exterior with a creamy coconut filling. Sadly on this second visit the inside was not as good as the first time but the shell still had a satisfying crisp crunch. I'm coming back for sure! The place is a bit cramped to eat in and I see a lot of orders to go. There are a few tables outside if you can stand the heat!

OMG what an amazing spot for lunch!!! No surprise this place is SUPER POPULAR. We ordered ahead online and skipped the lines. Brought the food with us to meet my daughter at work. This place has AMAZING Vietnamese sandwiches! Tried both the meatball and combo sandwiches and both were delicious. For only $12 you get a HUGE sandwich. Might be the best deal in town. We also ordered a couple fried tofu sticks ($1.20 each) and they were really good too! Wished we had ordered the raisin buns/rolls as they also looked really good. They also have Vietnamese coffee and an avocado smoothie! So many things to try....will have to come back!

    Soroosh P.

I expected a little more.... Granted my expectations and this place was fine but nothing blew my mind. The avocado shake was decent, rich buttery but what'd you'd expect. Service was ok, not as helpful as I would've hoped it terms of recommendations. Additionally around 3pm they were sold out of most items. The sesame ball was too oily. Fresh spring rolls were decent but again not the best I've ever had. Maybe it was an off day, but I wouldn't make the detour.

Great experience at Coda Bakery. I was looking forward to this place when I saw it on Triple D. I really love the fried tofu and the sauce that would go with it. A great experience and the banh mi was great too. A must if you're in the ABQ area!

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt inviting, and the service was genuinely outstanding--friendly, attentive, and the kind that makes you want to come back. I ordered the stuffed cabbage and the "Russian roulette" pierogies, and both were fantastic. The stuffed cabbage was rich, hearty, and perfectly seasoned--clearly made with care and tradition. The pierogies were a fun surprise, each one a little different, and all packed with flavor. It's the kind of dish that keeps you engaged with every bite. Even the black coffee stood out--smooth, bold, and exactly what you want alongside a satisfying meal. Altogether, Red Rock Deli delivers not just great food, but a genuinely enjoyable experience. Highly recommended if you're looking for something a little different and truly comforting.

The brats were delicious - whatever herbs are in there are delicious. The schnitzel was also good and there was enough we were able to take it and eat half of it later. We also ordered meat pierogis and sweet pierogis. They were all very small. For$16-$20 I would've liked them to be more than two small bites/one large bite each. There are no fountain drinks only cans/bottles. All that said, like I said, the meats were delicious. The potato salad with dill was delicious. The Eastern European market stuff was fun and I saw a lot of things I want to go back and get. There's a lot of cool polish stuff on the walls.

I peruse the menu, another customer drops their shake. Gonna be longer. That's fine, go help them. "No, I can take your order REALLY FAST." Well, I was looking at the menu, but cool to be rushed. I remember when the young lady that used to work there was at the counter. 6-8 people in line, greeted with a smile and Hi! Welcome in! There was a longer wait, but it was ok, because the service was good, and so was the food. Today? I'll never return. I spent over $15.00 including a credit card surcharge (a business owner that wants to take credit cards but can't be bothered to be a business owner and pay their bills.) I left a $5 cash tip - I figured I'd the business owner can't pay the 3% on a bad merchant account, they most likely aren't paying the staff livable wages... I sat down and put my gear down, and waited... for about 15 minutes, before this garbage salad that was falsely advertised as having toppings and 3 sliced chick'n strips. The entire salad didn't fill the bowl.? On the bottom were less than a teaspoon of diced tomatoes. In the entire salad there was ONE "fried onion." The lettuce was chopped like slop, there was barely enough chick'n to call it 1.5 slices. Absolute trash. For 15$ I ate my salad, listening as Morticia Addams' understudy pleasantly said good bye, have a nice day, et cetera to the customers who were leaving. I got up, threw my trash, walked out. Silence: The whole time I was in there, a cheap speaker was streaming some crappy 90s "radio friendly hip hop." When my salad was brought to me, even after explaining it's very hard to eat, or carry , a salad on a motorcycle, it arrived in a to-go/carry out, lid is RIGHT THERE,.Morticia helpfully pointed it out, a subtle hint that I wasn't a welcome guest. As I was gearing up to get on my motorcycle out comes our antagonist. Not to be polite or anything. To smoke or vape. I didn't stick around to smell which one she was doing in the doorway. I get it, lucky goose doesn't want my money. They've made it abundantly clear. That's fine. I'll go to Steelbender, where they have vegan options, and like that customers come on to give them money. I accidentally posted this review to the uptown location. I've never been, and will never be, to that location. This review was the knob hill location.

Their brisket, I really enjoy. It is fall apart tender, but it doesn't fall apart. Which I appreciate. It separates nicely when bitten into so you are not pulling a piece of brisket out when you are biting into your sandwich. The sandwich is jam packed with a generous serving of the brisket so I can't complain about that. I've only had the pleasure of the having the beans, and cream corn casserole among the sides. I can vouche for the tastiness both of them. The beans could probably be replicated, but the corn casserole is pretty unique in my opinion. I really liked it. Something like a corncake with bits of corn scattered through out. The sandwich alone is $13 or a combo for $15 which includes a side. I little on the high end in my opinion, but you won't be hungry when you are done. The only other fault in my opinion is the temperature. Both times I had them, my brisket was luke/room temp. Not really very warm at all. I dunno, but depending on your circumstances, you could always bring it home and nuke it! Sorry, no pics, I scarfed it both times without a single snap!
