It's a little hole in the wall in San Pedro and their pho is really good. The broth is good and the amount they give you for the price you pay is great. I always get the #15. I tried their spicy beef stew and it was different from what I'm used to and didn't really appreciate it. I also ordered a chicken plate and it comes with rice and a side salad. I prefer the pho over anything else I've ordered. The owners are nice and really kind. Never had issues coming here with the food or with the service. It's my go-to for pho in ABQ. read more

They had too much noodle and a runny peanut sauce, whereas I prefer more meat and veggies with a thicker sauce for dipping. The shrimp salad appy was fantastic, beautifully layered and shredded with char grilled shrimp. Wow says I - can't wait for the next course. I think we ordered badly. We don't eat meat so most of the Pho was off limits. Pablo ordered Seafood Pho. I ordered Crispy noodles with seafood. Both were large portions and bland. As Pablo was adding some Hoisin into his broth the top fell off. I thought the owner might have taken it away and started again for him. She did not. We managed to clean it up and he said it was OK. My dish remained poor even with the home made chili sauce. It's a large cafe, ideal for family lunches as well as couples. Soothing music and waterfalls on the TV. After two hours of immersing myself at the Albuquerque museum in old town, I decided to go to lunch. My stomach was rumbling so I decided to take an Uber to have lunch in a Vietnamese restaurant. I looked on Yelp to see what was around Albuquerque that was good. Having a 4.5 star average rating really helps as well. And so, I called the Uber and they got me here to Pho #1. Upon arrival, this Vietnamese restaurant seemed large enough to wear. It could accommodate maybe 50 people at one time. But just seems like it was one of those days where we just missed the lunch rush and that was a good thing. I arrived here around 1:30 PM and was seated almost immediately. The overall experience took about an hour from ordering to finishing up and paying for my meal. Only problem I could see was that the bowl that I had my beef noodle soup and was not as large as I thought it would have been. But it was delicious and definitely a great part of my Tuesday election day 2024 lunch. I ordered the combination Pho along with summer rolls on the side. Everything was delicious and wow, the broth was above average. It was flavorful and definitely hit the spot. I enjoy it very much and hope I could come back here through my next travel opportunity. If you ever had delicious Vietnamese food, this might be your opportunity to try one of the best in Albuquerque. Now I know why 4 1/2 stars is asset to this restaurant. It's so good. I enjoyed myself here, especially when I needed the downtime from all the fun I had with my friend at breakfast and then the museum prior to having lunch here at Pho #1. The service here was friendly and quick, as far as restaurants go. I think I got my order within 15 minutes., Which was quick in my view. The restaurant itself was clean and quite large for a Vietnamese restaurant. The menu was limited, but it had is plastic dishes and options. I wonder why I don't get the rice plates but go directly for the beef noodle soup. That's the question that I ask myself time and time again, but the Pho is always a great option anytime anywhere. For the most part, though, it was well needed and definitely hit the spot when traveling can get the best of you, it is great to have some simple Vietnamese cuisine to keep everything good and peaceful. They are about 15 minutes east of old town District. As far as parking goes, your best bet will be to have parking spots next to the restaurant or find available street parking outside the restaurant. If you like me, I came here through Uber and got picked up after my meal by my local Albuquerque friend after she voted in the presidential election 2024. Not sure if Albuquerque's public transportation system has rules that come through in this area or near it, so best bet would be to look online to make sure that it does work at least come goes to it, so you can enjoy top quality Vietnamese cuisine in the heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico. And all was good though, it gave me a reason to enjoy life more by having Vietnamese food here in Albuquerque. As mentioned before, if you're here in Albuquerque, best bet is to get here early to get it in on the awesomeness. I like their pho but I was extremely surprised with their fried rice!!! I literally cant ever make it the same!! I also love their spring rolls with fish sauce!! We were back after a long hiatus. We had three main dishes, that came fresh and were particularly tasty. Even my beef loving adult child liked his chicken dish, and the fresh spring roles were excellent and gluten free. Prices did not seem to have increased, and remained an incredible deal. Visited here Friday, August 26, 2022, with a co-worker. The owner that sat us down and told us they had to put up curtains during Covid. The cables were still hanging on the ceiling. Only a few other people occupied the restaurant. She took our order quickly. Four spring rolls and beef Pho. The Spring rolls were light and served with peanut sauce. A giant shrimp nestled inside the roll and tasted very fresh. My Pho came out steaming with tomatoes, green onions, generous portions of beef, and the broth and noodles had real flavor. She gave me fresh bean sprouts, and jalapenos which I piled on top of that wonderful Pho. This restaurant had a wonderful rendition of Pho and the appetizer tasted fresh. Coming from San Jose, CA, this place would be a 2 star place, but for New Mexico standards, I'd say this is a 4. Therefore, 3 stars it is! We got their grape leaf wrapped beef which was delicious. It was juicy, and the fish sauce leaned on the spicy and salty side rather than sweet which is more authentic! My friend enjoyed her spicy beef pho which had a great broth. I was a bit disappointed with my noodle soup (got half egg half rice noodles) with pork, shrimp, and other seafood. The broth was good, but the rice noodles are not supposed to be pho noodles. They should be rice stick wide flat noodles. In addition, the seafood was minimal and there were imitation crab sticks which is not authentic. Fine place to eat in the area, just not my favorite. My son, who had the beef combo pho, said it was easily five stars. He IS 11, though, and averse to most cuisine not genetically related to hamburgers with no onion or tomato, so credit that as you will. There is hoisin and Sriracha table-side at least. The veggie noodle soup was surprisingly rife with the GOOD veggies though! Not all onion and Bok Choy and peppers, but rather plenty of tofu, broccoli and chunky mushrooms and baby corn too! This little hole in the wall was absolutely delicious! My best friend and I went for lunch and I was impressed. Our appetizer was the egg rolls which were crispy and made to order. This is some of the best noodle soup I've had in Albuquerque. I got the Bbq pork and wonton noodle soup which had chicken broth and topping like lettuce and herbs. I added some chili in too. How did the Bbq pork stay crispy in the broth?! I don't know but I was impressed. My best friend opted for a jasmine rice plate with Bbq pork and shrimp...and she loved it! As authentic as pho gets around here, Pho #1 really lives up to its name. You can tell the broth is homemade because the broth is so savory seasoned very well. It's not watered down and doesn't leave you thirsty at the end (if you are thirsty after drinking the broth, it means there's most likely MSG added). I love this place and it really feels homey and inviting. The owners are Vietnamese and put their love of pho into their soups.
