    Pho Ginger. The bill.

Saturday. November 16, 2024. Dinner. My wife and I came here for a Vietnamese dinner. The inside is well lit and nicely decorated. They have a five-page, generous menu selection. See attached photos. The staff are attentive and checked on us regularly throughout our meal. I saw an avocado smoothie, $4.75, on the menu and couldn't resist. Usually I don't order sweeter items. This smoothie wasn't overly sweet and the avocado really stood out. The coldness paired nicely with the hot food. I order the #20, $13.95, which was the special Vermicelli patties. These were Vermicelli noodles topped with meatballs, shrimp, grilled pork and pork wrapped in bean curd skin. These were topped with green onions and ground peanuts. The meatballs stood out as the winner and I loved the al dente cooked noodles. The appetizer, 2 spring rolls, $3.75, were super fresh and stuffed to the gills with pork. Peanut dipping sauce paired nicely with this. The food came out hot and the fresh ingredients put it over the top. This meal filled us up and was really healthy. My wife had the Pad Thai and said it was too oily for her liking.

Great spot! I came here for dinner with my husband & we enjoyed our experience. When we arrived there was a bit of a wait, as a group of 6 was ahead of us. The staff were very communicative and got us seated as soon as possible. As a vegetarian, I really appreciate how they have a section that explains all menu items that fit this requirement. The eggroll noodle bowl was pretty good! Prices were affordable and portions were large. I'll be back soon!

Favorite pho spot in the world! I like their signature Pho Ginger Pho for days that I just want that extra ginger kick. The regular combo pho is amazing too if I want something sweeter. The shrimp crepe cake is so delicious. I keep coming back for these staples!

I've beeen to many many many pho spots all around the states and I can tell you HANDS DOWN this is the BEST PHO spot I've ever had. All their Pho bowls are amazing and you can get a large for $3 extra. The coconut shrimp crepes are also really well made. Please come here if you ever pass my NM as you won't regret it!!!!!

The shrimp is crunchy and flavorful. This place rolls it when you order it because the wrap is not cold or hard. It's soft and room temperature. It's just perfect. The peanut sauce is creamy and has a slight taste of chocolate due to its creaminess. Service is friendly and quick. The ambiance is family casual with a conversation buzz. Pad Thai with lemongrass beef is in need of a few vegetables. The size of the pad Thai is huge . It has a sweet , citric and crunchy peanut flavor. The large portion of beef is not the lemongrass marinated beef. I ate it all and I'm satisfied. I will not order it again specially because their egg noodle lemongrass stir fry is substantially more delicious and loaded with fresh vegetables. The sticky rice and mango is so good I can't even describe other than freshly sliced sweet mango in a coconut rice pairing. Creamy and flavorful.

If you prefer a thicker and stronger-flavored broth, this might not be your favorite. I recommend their lemongrass soup (bun bo hue). The noodles are thicker and chewier than standard pho noodles, and the soup has richer flavors. Their soup was not as flavorful as I would like, but this cleaner version surely will be more approachable.

The cold cuts were flavorful, the bread was fresh, and the meat to bread ratio was just right since I like more meat than bread. This is an excellent option for a quick lunch, but I would recommend staying to eat if you can. The decor is simple, the space is clean, and there are a few tables available. It does get busy during the lunch rush, but the line moves quickly and is well worth the wait. While the banh mi definitely steals the show, there are plenty of other options on the menu. Their banh cuon, thin rice noodles filled with ground pork and wood ear mushrooms, was good, though still second to the sandwiches. They also offer pate chau, a flaky puff pastry filled with pork pate, including a New Mexico style version with chicken and green chile. They have a variety of Vietnamese desserts like che, which I did not get a chance to try this time. My coworker loved their traditional Vietnamese hot coffee. I do not drink coffee, but I did enjoy one of their smoothies, which was refreshing and delicious. Overall, CODA Bakery is a go to spot for authentic Vietnamese flavors and one of the best places in Albuquerque for banh mi.

I called to place an order through "Bamboo by Kulantro" with a very friendly staff member. He was just as friendly when I picked up my takeout on November 25, 2025. My "takeaway" entree was the Bamboo Bowl ($18.12 with a card). It entailed "vermicelli noodles, spring mix, crispy garnish, peanuts, house sauce, crispy egg roll cut up into pieces, two grilled shrimp, and my choice of protein: grilled beef. While there was an enormous amount of vermicelli noodles which I could not finish, the rest of the entree had great portions of the rest. My dog even enjoyed much of the beef I offered her. (I washed the spice off.) If you have gluten, peanut allergy, vegan preferences, etc. - those requests can be honored. Inside, the restaurant was no frills, but a mostly quiet, clean environment. It seemed nice. Recommended for a healthy, quality meal with friendly service!
