Great place .. really a jewel in the rough , been opened 18yr. Will be back ' - The image shows a plate with grilled meat, cucumber slices, and a bowl of sauce, likely from a Vietnamese restaurant menu.

Excellent service, we were seated right when we walked in and our drink order was taken immediately. Our server checked on us throughout the meal as well. Started off with their grilled pork spring rolls which have a delicious crunchy baton inside. The variety of textures is a delight: chewy rice wrapper, crisp lettuce, crunchy baton, and tender pork and noodles. Noodle bowl: Noodles and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Pork had a lovely wok hei char and was complimented by the vinegary sweet pickled carrot and daikon. Pho: Flavorful broth and tender crisp veggies, love the plentiful fresh herbs on the side.

Spring roll, smoke brisket pho and a hot jasmine tea - A bowl of beef pho with herbs, noodles, and broth is on a table, accompanied by side dishes, chopsticks, and a cup of tea.

Try the New smoked brisket pho option! Absolutely delicious!! Service is always quick and friendly here, perfect for a quick lunch if time is a priority. Incredible pho everytime I stop by!

Came to the Cafe Trang's Pho Bar on Saturday, January 28, 2023, with my lovely wife. We'd been wanting to visit here every time we spotted it on our way to the Brew Lab. Note: they are closed on Sundays. A delightful young waitress took our order with a smile. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls (2 for $6.25) with peanut sauce. These came out in a dish shaped like a boat. They were a bit dry for my taste and the shrimp tasted overcooked and rubbery. I think they could have done a much better job with this appetizer. I ordered the Ca Bong Lau Xao, lightly fried catfish nuggets with noodles and black-pepper sauce for $11.75. Unfortunately, the cook or waitress messed up because they brought out rice instead of noodles. Despite that mistake, this dish had an excellent light flavor with a minimal amount of breading on the fish. The sauce they put under the fish had an excellent tangy flavor, but there wasn't enough to thoroughly coat each piece of fish. The service was quick but the attention to detail was lacking. Main meal tasted great, but I'd skip the appetizer. They are generous with their portions and I would try them again to see if they can get my order right since my main dish had delicate flavor.

Bun Bo Hue - A bowl of Bun Bo Hue, a Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup, with noodles, beef slices, herbs, and vegetables on a wooden table.

I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to taste some of the Vietnamese offerings in New Mexico. Nothing is ever going to beat my mom's Bon Bo Hue, but it was good and just enough level of spicy. Price was pretty good, but this is coming from someone visiting from out state and where everything is just more expensive. But I would come back to try their other dishes.

Pork banh mi - Two banh mi sandwiches filled with meat, vegetables, and herbs are placed on a green tray lined with white paper.

We had the large rare steak pho and por banh mi. $18. Good news bad news. Bad news. The pho was watery and tasteless. The steak and noodles had good texture. Even still, this was one of the worst phos we have had in a while. Good news. The pork banh mi was awesome. The bread was great, the meat was great, the sauce was great and all of the veggies were great. I'd recommend asking to have them add some jalapeno slices to make it pop. But, this was the best Banh Mis we have had in a while and I can't wait to go back for more. The staff was friendly and prompt. And all the dishes at our neighboring tables looked great. Pro tip - get your banh mi from here, get a pho from Saigon 2 down the street and head over to enjoy them both at Cabezon Park

Need a stop for lunch, looking for something we don't usually eat. So here we are. Lots of seating available, grab a booth and read the menu - 5 pages worth. Too many options each sounds delicious. We need more time, pork spring roll appetizers should give it to us. I zero in on the Xào Xã Őt (curry stir fry) - with pork & noodles. As advertised it was hot, but not too much. The stir fried veg were nice & crisp while noodles were not over done. Adding the fish sauce gave it excellent flavor. My wife ordered the chicken fried rice. Equally flavorful, chicken was tender and not dry and the rice was flaky vs sticky. Did I mention there was a lot of food. To go containers for lunch tomorrow. Prices were reasonable especially given the amount served and quality. Service was good, she came by often to check on us. This deserves a return trip to work our way thru the menu. If you've never had Vietnamese, this will be a good place to start.

The food was delicious I think this is lamb but not sure. It's #55. The service was good they could've checked in on the customer more.

Fresh Bahn mi's, pho, boba slushees, chicken and the best fried cream cheese wontons in town are all on the menu. They are cost efficient, friendly and have fresh produce. Also, check out the fridge near the kitchen for some hidden goodies such as sugar cane, fresh coconuts and more! You really can't go wrong here, please push past any previous feelings you may have about gas station food- I know you have been burned by Allsup's burritos before, but trust me you won't be disappointed.

I heard they got a popular review and had to try it for myself, it helped it was Vietnamese cuisine at least with me anyways in taking that initial leap, but it was well worth it. I ordered their rice noodle bowl with chicken and it didn't disappoint, loads of fresh as well as pickled veggies, heaps of noodles and a generous portion of grilled chicken. Their wings were amazing! They honestly would hold their own against any restaurant that only does wings! They were sweet and salty Vietnamese flavor with just a little heat, I will say they cheated me in one wing using the wing tip does not count! Other than that take it for what it is a convenience store serving in to go boxes. But it's super fresh and flavorful which is already ahead of most fast food! the price is right, and it's just perfect for a local pickup when you don't want feel like cooking. I have yet to try the pho but am looking forward to it, I'd making it a normal stop honestly. Also nice to point out they have a small Vietnamese market inside as well, so if you need a local place to pick up fresh produce such as Thai basil, cilantro, chilies they have a decent selection for the size of their store. They also have a number of cut names e cooking products such as fish sauce and condiments! Try it out I promise there's nothing to be scared of, they're definitely breaking the mold our help of course.

Saturday. March 1, 2025. Dinner…read more Upon entering, my wife and I were told this restaurant has existed for 10 years. It is on Montgomery by Dirty Bourbon saloon and Pelicans. The walls are painted green, have Vietnamese artwork and the interior is super relaxing. The lighting is dim and romantic and the place is super clean. We ordered the fried dumpling appetizer. This came with 6 dumplings and a dipping sauce for $7. The dumplings seemed to be pork and were tender inside. I used some sriracha sauce as the provided sauce tasted bland. To drink, 2 avocado shakes for $11.98. This was the best avocado shake I've ever had. Not too sweet and the right consistency, not too thick or too thin. For the entrée, I had #34, crispy egg noodle with seafood stir fry for $15.25. The noodles were mostly crispy. Those under the sauce turned soggy pretty quick. My fault, I should have asked for no zucchini. Unfortunately this was the most abundant part of the dish and I had to remove about 20 pieces of zucchini. Other than that, the seafood mix had imitation crab, shrimp, squid, and what appeared to be scallops. Vegetables, other than zucchini, included: baby corn, broccoli, carrots and cabbage. I liked the crispy noodles and the seafood tasted pretty good. I would have give five stars but the zucchini really didn't impress, nor did some of the soggy noodles.
