I came here with my husband and in-laws for happy hour on a Friday evening. This place looks and feels as though you're somewhere in Mexico. Beautiful and definitely insta worthy.They were busy but the wait wasn't long at all. We only had a few mins left for happy hour but our waiter Kevin was absolutely amazing. He was able to take everyone's order with the happy hour pricing. They gave us complementary chips and salsa . The chips have a wonderful seasoning and the salsas were fresh and tasty. As appz we opted for the chicken flautas. They were fresh delicious and nicely dressed with queso cheese dip on the side. We also ordered the guacamole which I didn't eat but the others thoroughly enjoyed . Lastly we also ordered the loaded trompo street fries which were absolutely delicious but super filling. Really loved the vibes of this restaurant! So much plant decor. We felt like we were on vacation! The chips and salsa were good. Some drinks were really tasty. I wasn't a big fan of the frozen margaritas. They had too much sugar. All the food we tried was yummy. I love the volcanic stone meals presentation. Started with the white queso. It's pretty good although it should come with taco meat some other protein options. Beef fajitas did not come out medium rare, but were more well done. But they were good. Charro beans over the black beans all day long. Birra tacos are very wet...and it's not so much a consumme as a bit of a greasy dip. The tacos didn't need it, so I didn't use it. Rice was good. Chips were good. Red salsa preferred over the green. So fresa drink was pretty good. Didn't feel like they skimped on the alcohol, so that's a plus. read more

We visited Vidorra for the first time on a Wednesday afternoon. The ambience was great. Staff was great. The food and drink didn't match the vibe. Drinks were tasty but very weak and required a topper. The empanadas were very dry, (way overcooked) flautas were dry. Once they got the entree right, it was okay. We are not fluent in Spanish, and I think that made a difference...the folks next to us seemed to be having a really good time and their food came out fast. read more

The ambiance is great, nice views, great location. But.. food was mediocre. We decided to dine there as I had been looking forward to it since it's opening. Queso and drinks were very good, I'd go back for that, and the rest was not so great. A small plate of steak fajitas were a chunk of unedible tough meat and almost no grilled veggies. Fish tacos came out all wrong, fried instead of grilled served in dry tortillas. The cilantro rice as simple as it is misses the mark. Both dishes were fairly bland. The managers have been so kind and understanding in a few situations, professionals who care about their guests, their staff, and your overall experience. Make sure to read till the end to find out why I gave this restaurant 5 stars. When I initially walked in, I was taken back by the overall design of the interior. It was very well done and the lighting was just right. I was shown to my table and within a few minutes, a young gentleman brought out some chips and salsa and a water. The chips were well seasoned and still nice and warm. The red and the green salsa were both equally delicious. Shortly after, Valeria (my waitress) politely greeted me and took my order. I already knew what I wanted from seeing a previous review. I ordered the EL CHURRASCO. It's a 10 oz Pasilla Crusted Skirt Steak, Chimichurri, Lime Crema, and Smoked Potatoes. About 10 minutes or so went by and Valeria brought my entree out. It looked incredible!!! I quickly found out that looks weren't everything. I attempted to cut into the steak and realized that not only was the knife somewhat dull, but the steak itself was quite tough, although it was still medium rare-ish. However, It did have a great flavor. I decided to move over to the potatoes. The exterior/skin was rather hard and even the inside seemed quite a bit over done. The waitress came by shortly after and I politely informed her of the slight issues with my food. She immediately insisted on making it right, all while maintaining a smile. After talking with the waitress for a few moments, I agreed to letting them remake it. 10 minutes or so went by and she returned with the new and improved El Churrasco. I took the backside of the knife and barely pressed onto the potatoes and it instantly punctured it. Good sign number 1. I then slightly pressed onto the steak and I could tell immediately that it was perfectly cooked. I cut into it and tried a bite and instantly fell in love with the perfect mixture of flavor and texture. At one point, I told Valeria how much I loved chimichurri. She decided on her own to bring me out a side of their chimichurri rice to try. Of course it was amazing. We waited about 15 minutes to leave and on the way, got a text that our table was ready, but if we didn't show up within 5 minutes our waitlist would be canceled. Supposedly they gave us a 10 minute grace time, but it showed canceled after 5. Granted we got there I maybe 6-7 after the original text and got a table, but felt like we had to insist on it. Then our waitstaff was great when she showed up, but she left us alone for quite a while. Lots of staff around not doing much and a number of open tables (only a waitlist, no reservations). So I don't understand the system there- that needs some major tweaking. Again, I would say the food was good but a bit pricey with a drink. read more

My family and I (party of 6) visited on 3/28/26, and the experience was absolutely AMAZING! This place set a whole new standard for quality and service. K.K., the manager that night, was truly exceptional--10/10. He walked us through the menu, made great recommendations, and personally checked in after our food arrived to make sure everything was perfect. I ordered the molcajete bowl with shrimp and steak, and it was incredible--amazing flavor and a huge portion, enough to share and still have leftovers. Fast forward to 4/11/26... completely different experience. Our server (let's call her T.M.) started by letting us know her shift was ending, which was fine--but then described the pollo vidorra as "like a Chipotle bowl," which was completely inaccurate. It's actually more like a baked potato topped with chicken breast, bacon, shredded cheese, and avocado. Had it been described correctly, I would have ordered something else. When the dish arrived, it was barely warm and the chicken was dry. I mentioned it, and while she did offer to reheat it, she seemed irritated. When it came back out (whether reheated or remade, I'm not sure), it still wasn't much better. I tried to eat it but couldn't and ended up leaving most of it untouched. Meanwhile, my husband's steak and shrimp fajitas were sizzling hot and delicious--so the kitchen clearly can get it right. What was most disappointing is that the uneaten dish still remained on the bill, so I paid for a meal I didn't eat. The manager that day, Karee, offered a gift card for one taco on a future visit. While I appreciate the gesture, it didn't feel proportional to the experience. I'm not looking for free meals or big compensation--I just expect good food and attentive service. When a plate comes back barely touched, that's a clear sign something went wrong, and it should be addressed more meaningfully. We love this new place in Rockwall! It feels like you just walked into Tulum! They even have blankets at all the tables on the beautiful patio. It is very nicely done. Came in for lunch and wasn't so sure at first. Really pretty decor and walls. But it is extremely dark in the restaurant and it was difficult to navigate to the bathroom. Bathroom was very clean. Music was loud and we struggled to hear our server even when we asked for them to repeat and speak up. Food was very good! Honestly best taco salad I've ever had. I really liked the flavor , it wasn't too heavy and the lettuce was crunchy. Presentation was also nice. I loveeee elote and this wasn't quite it for me, but the Smokey flavor was really nice. The chips and salsa was good. The red sauce tasted better and had more flavor than the green sauce. The Elote was good but needed more of the cream topping. Arrived Tuesday evening not really knowing what to expect as it was my first time in the restaurant. The host was super friendly and the wait was only about 10 minutes. Loved the ambiance and the vibes of the restaurant, it makes you feel like your in for a great Mexican experience. The chips were so good and warm with 2 really good salsas, the green was my fav. The queso was served piping hot on the table with the smoke to prove it. I ordered the Almadre (not sure I spelled that right ) but it's like the spicy version of the steak with peppers and onions in a very spicy red sauce served with tortillas. Soooo good! But my son ordered the Beef Burria tacos and they stole the show. Only had a bite or two of his but definitely going back to get those next time. I visited this location two consecutive days and on both days my food had hair in it. I did not send the food back the first day however, the second day I did send the food back twice so a total of three dishes had hair in them. When I spoke to the manager regarding the hair in the food, he did offer to remake the dish. However, there was no discount offered or anything. I was given a 15% discount on my next visit. I sat at the bar on my visit this evening and words can not express what an amazing experience that Michelle gave me. Her service and attention to detail was top tier. She offered me chips and salsa giving me a menu right away. It was busy so such prompt acknowledgement made me feel like an instant VIP.
