Holy cow!! This place is soooooo good. The salsa's great. The choices on the menu are copious. As a pescatarian, I'm usually limited, but oooooweeeee, they have a soup here that's tomato-based and you can choose fish, shrimp or combo. I've been here three times now, and the food has never been a disappointment! I've had their Chili Verde stew twice, as well as a breakfast burrito. Each meal was awesome. Full disclosure: I don't trust DoorDash with food this sacred. I drove myself to Casa Mama like I was smuggling treasure out of El Dorado. This was a full takeout mission, and I treated it like a military op. Because you don't leave the fate of tamales topped with Pork Guiso in the hands of a guy named "Bradley" who delivers with one hand and vapes with the other. And thank GOD I did. The tamales? Insane. Like, I think they cured a personality disorder I didn't know I had. That Pork Guiso on top? It didn't just sit there--it posed like it knew it was the Beyoncé of toppings. If this review was based on the food it would be closer to 4 star. The quality of food was not bad, definitely better than the average Mexican Food in the area. I'm giving 1 star because of the absolute disrespect I received from Adrian. He wasn't even our waiter, but when my food was brought out wrong and I asked it to be remade, Adrian felt the need to come and be completely condescending to me in front of my wife and kids. We have come here quite a few times in the last couple years, but after I was treated tonight, this will be the last time. Not only did they not remake the food, but they picked off the meat and just brought it back on a separate plate. Service was fast and friendly for a party of 18, 16 teenagers and 2 adults on a Thursday night. Atmosphere is lively but has divisions to keep intimate. Food came out quickly and was enjoyed by all. Combo fajitas were delicious, with enough peppers, onions, tender steak and chicken. Full setup with rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole and pico. I really, really wanted to love this place but won't be able to give more than a 3-stars. We had dinner here on a Tuesday night thinking it would be a good time to check it out when they weren't too busy. Despite being a Tuesday night, the restaurant was still fairly full and had a steady stream of customers coming in the entire time we were there. We were seated immediately which was nice. The chips and salsa came out which were unremarkable. The chips were the "hard" type rather than light & airy and the salsa was just OK. Next came the margarita on the rocks that I ordered. This was the best part of my meal! The margarita was legit. We wanted to start out with an appetizer of queso with brisket and indicated this to our waiter who also took our dinner order at the same time rather than coming back later to take our dinner order. Our meal came out about 10 minutes later but there was no sign of our appetizer. At that point, we made sure to let them know that we no longer wanted it and asked that it not appear on our tab. Now for the food... I was in the mood for tacos so I ordered the salmon taco which was advertised as 1 "large" taco for $11.99. It turns out it was a "wrap" in a spinach tortilla cut in half. It came with some type of dipping sauce and tasted OK, but the description on the menu should've listed it as a wrap, not a large taco. It also came with rice & beans which were totally flavorless. Between the no flavor rice & beans, the unimpressive chips & salsa, and the missed appetizer, we decided that we will not be returning. The rice is some of the best ever and the beans are very good as well. I don't usually rave this well for a restaraunt unless they really deserve it. What a remarkable success for Rockwall. You would think we were picked up and put in the middle of somewhere else. We started with chips and salsa and tried the queso. Then we shared a Fiesta Platter which included a beef quesadilla, chicken flautas, beef nachos and small tostadas. Others in our party got the brisket tacos on corn tortillas and a fajita beef quesadilla. The food was hot and very tasty. We finished the meal with churros and sopapillas with vanilla ice cream which was very smooth and creamy. We never had to wait long for refills on our drinks and everyone we interacted with made eye contact and smiled. Definitely felt like we were valued customers. Our friend stated how flavorful everything was. The rice and beans were seasoned perfectly. The rice had a lemon citrus flavor, which was delicious. And we always enjoy eating dinner there, and our server was very attentive through our whole meal. We arrived at six, on a Thursday evening. It was already a little crowded. But fortunately we did not have to wait at all to be seated. They do have a full open bar. If you would like to just come for some of their delicious margaritas. I've always seen the rave that everyone post at this place and I finally got the chance to try it out today. I'm so happy that I did cause my husband and I will definitely be coming back. The manager tonight was really cool and let us park our Dually in a spot that was just the right size for it lol. I got to witness how well the employees manage themselves during the dinner rush and was really impressed. I literally got see too all of the employees working as a team to keep the floors swept , tables cleared/cleaned , and keeping drinks filled. The food was really fantastic here, I love how fresh and colorful the food is. It really makes it presents itself well. The flavor is rich and savory and really filling too. 06 25 2022 A really good Fajita Omelette from the new breakfast menu! A Saturday, at noon, and Casa Mama in Rockwall, Texas was full. I got the last parking space, a sign on back door directed all customers to enter via the front door. Since I was solo, I got a small table next to the cantina, which was full also. I already seen the Google Maps menu, and wanted to try the Fajita Omelette $10.99 As I watched MLB on the big screen, the Fajita Omelette arrived quickly it seemed. A 2 egg Omelette, folded over chunks of sizzling beef fajitas, with melted Jack cheese. Refried beans, rice, and salsa Fresca garnish made this a nice looking meal. Good flavors, too. This is the newest restaurant on the square in Rockwall. While there are many Mexican restaurants in Rockwall, I'll categorize this as moderately upscale Mexican. Similar to Frankie's in Wylie or MiCucina. They are brand new but have sister locations in Plano and Dallas. The Chips and salsa are excellent. Always critical for a Mexican restaurant. I had a margarita (Herradura Resposado and Grand Marnier) and the Brisket Enchiladas. If you haven't been to Frankie's you have never had this... you need to. They are filled with potatoes and have a brisket onion and mushroom topping on top with a poblano sauce under it. I get mine without. Mushrooms (my issue) but would suggest more poblano sauce if anything. It is fantastic. The potatoes seemed a little under seasoned but overall they executed very well for a new restaurant and this dish is worth a drive. This is a great addition to downtown Rockwall and I look forward to updating after a couple more visits. read more

Mind you, I wasn't in the mood for Tex-mex, so I will do as much justice as I can for my opinion. Everyone was satisfied with the meal. My meal didn't overturn my original feelings for Tex-mex. The restaurant was packed, buzzing with chatter and we were expecting to wait 30 minutes for a table.
