Dining area was small but clean and outdoor patio searing is available. There were several best of Rockwall awards on the wall, deservedly so. Breakfast tacos were $4.25-$4.75 but were worth it. This used to be our favorite place to get tacos & margaritas. Recently the prices increased & sizes decreased. The margaritas today were the size of the disposable water cups & barely bigger than the salt shaker & served in disposable cups. This doesn't look like a $12 margarita. The tacos were dry. Its been too long. Everything was absolutely fantastic. Cheese queso was creamy. Hubby loved it. For tacos, we did a variety. Honestly, thought all were fantastic. And it was Taco Tuesday and it was a deal! We tried the empanda, which was the lightest I have ever had. Highly recommend. Love the salsas. My marg was good, but the Paloma was different. We usually love this place. Went on Friday 7/18 for lunch with in-laws and it was sooooo good. Wife and I went again Sat 7/26 specifically for the empanadas we had been thinking about all week. Unfortunately, the fryer was down and they couldn't make them. No biggie, we did some quesabirria and shrimp tacos, which were good. We also got the appetizer sampler, but it was not at all how we normally get it. Usually there is cilantro and onions on top the guac and brisket and sour cream on the queso. That's not what we got and the queso seemed to just be melted cheese; no veggies or flavor to it. I'm sure we just got the B-squad or something. We'll still be going back tomorrow for the empanadas we are still craving. read more

Nice, casual counter-serve eatery, okay for small groups. One the end of small stripmall along North Goliad St / 205. Parking is pretty good, but can fill up during prime time hours. Cannot complain about any of the dishes here so far, but I mostly do breakfast. Outdoor small umbrella tables, and small picnic tables are decent if not windy. The breakfast tacos were so good, I got a slice of Cinco Leches Cake from the display cooler. Even though pre/sliced, and on a plate, it was moist & light! It was Saturday 10:00 AM, about 35% of seats taken, a few pickup orders also went out. Busy, but not crowded. read more

Stopped time lunchtime on Saturday. I ordered the quesabirria taco plate and an elote. Wife ordered a migas taco and a spicy shrimp taco. She liked both. The quesabirria tacos were amazing. Very flavorful and the consome adds even more. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing. I could have drank 5 of them. Elote was solid as well. Restaurant was clean and organized. Ok, so this place Fat Chicken right by my house and let's just say maybe it is t a good thing... because I could eat this stuff all day. The quesabirrias are spectacular. You may think I am overreacting. No. I am not. Cheesy crispness on the outside, a generous portion of shredded beef, and the Birria dip.... Yesssssssss!! Dip it eat it. You won't regret it. The quesadillas have the quality that I love in a quesadilla. The cheese has great flavor but a butteriness that comes from the cheese. This is a winner. Queso-- stellar. Yallllll best breakfast tacos--my son always gets the bacon egg and cheese and I can't get enough of the farmhouse burrito; has so much spice and then with the habanero salsa added makes it fire! I've been here 3 times now: twice for lunch/dinner and today for breakfast. I really liked my first 2 visits: tasty, flavorful tacos and a delicious margarita (tequila, triple sec, fresh lime and maybe the teensyiest hint of agave.) However, today's meal was disappointing. I came for breakfast and ordered a breakfast bowl: eggs, mealy/fatty bacon and the queso fresco and tomatoes to top it. I'm not sure what I expected, but there was no seasoning present anywhere (I guess I was expecting flavor). They provided me with green and red sauces which provided the flavor and heat. The dish wasn't BAD it was just completely forgettable. When I eat out I hope for something better than what I would whip up in 3 minutes in my own kitchen. I'll come back and try the tacos again, and if they are good I'll update this review and up the stars; but honestly the memory of tasty tacos was obliterated by today's bland breakfast. read more

Took me a long time to try this place, but the food is excellent. The Birria tacos are second to none. The guacamole is actual fresh guacamole, and every one of the salsas taste like it's homemade. if you order online, they staple it all up so it's nice and secure and give you plenty of food. Only one thing that I tried that I didn't really care for was the Carne Asada of taco it had meat and corn tortilla only no cilantro or onions other than that it was perfect. read more

I'm so glad Los Marquez runs a brick and mortar restaurant now, so close to our house. I've seen some fresh ideas when popping in the restaurant like ramen specials on Wednesdays, that I do want to try. Today's lunch was a vegetarian quesadilla with freshly roasted vegetables, lots of cheese, sour cream and guacamole on the side. We sat on the outdoor patio under the Topo Chico umbrellas and it was so nice to be outdoor dining under the sun, in 72f. There's plenty of seating inside, too. Thanks for the experience! read more

This might have been my favorite breakfast taco ever. Very good size and proportion of meat to egg to tortilla. I only needed one to be happy for a breakfast. Verde salsa was fantastic and had a nice spice. Only downside is it's $4 for a taco...but you do get great quality so it's worth it imo. Go get one!! read more

When I get it again (and I will), I will order extra lime for additional acidity and add some of the house spicy sauce () right into the bowl. There is both inside and outside seating areas. The food was delicious! The fajitas were well seasoned and came with all the fixings. Naturally, being the picky eater, I went with just the beef, rice, beans, and cheese in my HOT flour tortilla. The service is counter-style. We were given menus when we walked in, which helped tremendously. After you order, you get a number, and food is brought out to you. Guaranteed to mess up your DoorDash order. It's too bad that the owner Iliana is unwilling to provide service to her customers. A DoorDash order was completely erroneously filled. I contacted DoorDash to rectify the situation and also contacted the restaurant so they could remake the order. I heard one employee tell another one that he input the order wrong to the kitchen. Then another employee spoke to me and found my original order; he recited it perfectly. I asked if they could remake it and I would come pick it up. The owner Iliana then told me there was no way for her to relocate the original order, which was obviously not true since her employee Nathan had just located it using my name and the order time. Why could Nathan relocate it, but Iliana couldn't? She refused to remake the order and allow me to come pick it up in person. She said it had to be corrected through DoorDash. I understand that they had to handle the billing with me but the restaurant ultimately needed to recook the order and she refused to re-make my order claiming she couldn't locate the order. What a shame that an owner provides an inferior experience than a frontline cashier. Do not order DoorDash from this location because this has happened numerous times and they clearly don't have an automated process to get your order to the kitchen. It is clear that employees see a DoorDash order then type it into another system leaving room for human error and the owner took zero accountability for this issue. read more

I had their beef birria burrito, they could have been a bit more crispy, but they were super slammed. The flavors are on point, not too spicy for the Gringos among us. They keep two bottles of salsa on the table, one rojo and one verde. Both are spicy but delicious. The chips and guacamole are good, but the red tomatoe sauce was odd. Eat here! Close to home, best mexican food bar none! We usually go on Tuesdays ( for Taco Tuesday). He gets the beef fajitas and I get beef or chicken tacos . The food is always fresh, the service impeccable. There is an option to sit outside with ample seating. Very casual, family and kid friendly. You can order adult drinks as they have a bar as well . Love this place! read more

We've had Los Marquez before when they were out of their Food Truck in Lavon. I am glad to see they found a place even closer to us and their food quality has not changed. The decor was very basic but still homey and gets the job done since they are known for their food quality. We came super early yesterday to get some breakfast for the office and decided to go with their Machaca and Chorizo breakfast tacos, I also got the farm breakfast burrito. The staff was super friendly and welcoming as usual. The breakfast burrito was ok at best but in my opinion not worth the price, I wouldn't have been able to tell if it was just an egg burrito if I was not the one to have ordered it. However, the feedback from the office was the tacos were amazing. I will skip the burrito and just go with the breakfast tacos next time. Still going to come back for the rest of the menu. We tried Los Marquez once when at their food truck, and now we finally got around to eating in their actual restaurant. Y'all.... this place is so good!! The burrito was delicious, especially slathered in their green salsa. The queso, salsa, and chips were all really good. My only sort of negative is that the queso is really thick, but most places seem to struggle with that. I think it's the nature of cheese, so I don't really fault them for that. It still tasted great. My husband really loved the Carne asada torta. He wants to find the Bakery that makes the bread and buy a whole bag lol.
