Great atmosphere. Service was good and friendly. Food was not that great. Drinks were unique and good. Fajitas and taco salad were the better items we had. Party of 8. read more

This was our third time visiting the Rockwall location & second with Angel as our waiter. He always ensures a great experience with great service! He had quite a few tables, but still managed to make sure we have what we need when we needed it. The food as always was delicious! It was a busy night, but our food still made it promptly to the table and was fresh. We enjoyed sitting on the patio for the first time tonight. Perfect setting as we celebrated my husbands birthday. Looking forward to our next visit! Thank you, Angel! read more

Our meal was delicious and we love the vibe in here! Fun atmosphere without being too fancy. The queso blanco molcajete was SO good! Alexa was an awesome server! read more

Great location and atmosphere. Makes me feel like I've stepped into vacation in a tropical local. Food was great and the watermelon margarita was even better. The only negative was that the bartender could have been more friendly. Still, we recommend trying this new place! read more

Went here for Sunday Lunch with Fam. Delicious ! They have a very jungle, Mexican aesthetic and an elevated atmosphere of sophistication. Recommend for anyone looking for new Tex Mex option in Rockwall. The prices are a little higher than normal but if you split an entree it ain't too bad read more

Vidorra - Front Entrance - Brunch & Sunday Lunch - Mexican Near Me - Rockwall, Texas

The ambiance at this restaurant is fantastic but the food is just okay. It's really mediocre Mexican food. I can't even remember what I had.

Food great. I love going here it's amazing and I love the atmosphere too..... We go every Thursday evening

Tried this place for the first time today. The wait took about 40 minutes for 3 which was pretty lengthy but it was worth the wait. Everything we tried was so good! The queso was massive and super delicious. The churros were also so so good. I loved the inside and the look and environment. It was a super cool restaurant. A bit pricey but nothing too crazy. Will definitely be back! read more

I just recently moved to Rockwall and have already been here twice. It is beautifully decorated inside and feels like you are on vacation. The chips and two different salsas that they give you when you first sit down are delicious. The tacos were all yummy,I just wish the carne asada tacos had a guac or avocado crème as they are a little dry. The two best things on the sampler platter are the birria empanadas and the Flautas (dip them in the queso that comes with it) so I recommend just ordering one of those two things instead of the platter. I cannot stress how good the Flautas are. All the servers and hosts are super nice and attentive. It gets busy on the weekends so add yourself to the waitlist online before you go. read more

*UPDATE* In response to my review a manager requested I reach out to further discuss my experience. I reached out on February 9th and approximately a month later I have not heard back from anyone. I've been in customer service for over 15 years and if you're not going to respond to an upset customer then don't offer your email to try and "make it right". So this is my final message to Vidorra Rockwall...DO NOT CONTACT ME ANYMORE...I WISH I COULD TAKE BACK THE 1 STAR I GAVE IN MY INITIAL REVIEW, A NEGATIVE NUMBER WOULD BE MORE ACCURATE...I WILL NOT BE DISCUSSING ANYTHING WITH YOUR ABYSMAL ESTABLISHMENT...I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND VIDORRA ROCKWALL TO ANY FAMILY OR FRIENDS!! I WILL BE GOOGLING YOUR PARENT COMPANY SO THAT MY FAMILY WILL NEVER STEP FOOT INTO ANY ESTABLISHMENT UNDER THE MILKSHAKE CONCEPTS PORTFOLIO! ORIGINAL POST: Wife and I went on a date for a baby moon before our second child's birth. As we approached the restaurant there were a group of customers smoking at the entrance. I guess we should have taken that as a sign, but we continued on in. Immediately served water and chips/salsa. However, we then proceeded to wait over 20 minutes to even be greeted by our server. We went back to the front and complained, then left. The manager tried to catch us while we're going down the stairs, she wanted to apologize and comp the meal. We declined. Why would we wait another 20 minutes to even be served again? We were excited to try this place and my wife was starving! First time trying Vidorra, will not be coming back or recommending them! read more

Very vibey restaurant. Nice decor and friendly servers. Music was so loud that we had to yell across the table, which just added to the noise. I guess if you want a loud place for a couple people it's ok, but now for a large party, especially if you want to hear the person across the table. The food was ok. At least that's what some in our party said. My taco salad was about a 3/10. Way too much stale shredded cheese covering the dish, and very reserved on the pico, avocado and ground beef. I basically grazed on a bed of lettuce covered with cheese. The chips and salsa are delicious. Both the red and green salsas saved me. May come back again with a smaller crowd and try something else. read more

Arrived Tuesday evening not really knowing what to expect as it was my first time in the restaurant. The host was super friendly and the wait was only about 10 minutes. Loved the ambiance and the vibes of the restaurant, it makes you feel like your in for a great Mexican experience. The chips were so good and warm with 2 really good salsas, the green was my fav. The queso was served piping hot on the table with the smoke to prove it. I ordered the Almadre (not sure I spelled that right ) but it's like the spicy version of the steak with peppers and onions in a very spicy red sauce served with tortillas. Soooo good! But my son ordered the Beef Burria tacos and they stole the show. Only had a bite or two of his but definitely going back to get those next time. I'm Definitely going back and this place you want to try!!!!! Prices are not overwhelming at all!! Great experience! read more

Ordered trompo tacos and I have never seen trompo tacos that look like this. No flavor whatsoever, all I could taste was the tortilla and pineapple. Wife had the fish tacos and again bland, no flavor whatsoever. Service was horrible, never seen the waitress except to order and pay the bill. Save yourself some money and just go to Gordos tacos in the gas station and get some real tacos. read more

Vidorra - Great meal was had - Mexican Near Me - Rockwall, Texas

Food chips too salty Chicken enchilada, tortilla was so dry and tuff it wouldn't stay rolled around the chicken. Rice was mediocre and dry. Had to add hot sauce to moisten. Black refried beans were also dry. Cheese on enchilada was scarce to non existent. Tea was ok. The food was awful, better food would help. The great atmosphere was dampened by music so loud you couldn't hear. Water was awsome tasted very good. Byrle Darland read more

Ok, the ambience is the coolest part of this place for me. I've tried three different dishes and just nothing wows me. I do love the two salsas served with the chips. And the attentiveness and friendliness of staff can't be beat. They even remember you when you've come in a couple times, which means the world to me. I have only sat at the bar, per my usual. I don't drink but they didn't mind me there and even served me some cool nonalcoholic mocktails lime a lovely mojito. I'm going to tru a few more dishes and update. Great potential here. And super glad to have another option in Rockwall, where I believe we are limited on health"ier", less mainstream places. They do appear to be doing well biz wise, so be careful coming at a high volume time.. you're gonna wait during this honeymoon period. read more

Love this place, great food, drinks & service. We love Johnny! I booked my company dinner in rockwall & Johnny came in on his day off!

Vidorra is just an excellent experience! We have been to the one in Deep Ellum, and this one is more laid back with just the food and drinks that you would expect. Excellent service, excellent margaritas, and just a great vibe. We love it and will be back soon!! read more

Let me just start by saying I've been giving out an awful lot of 5 star ratings lately... that being said, I've been dining out at some GREAT restaurants! So this location is brand new and we were super excited to try it. This was my first time at any Vidorra restaurant, so I came in with no expectations. Let me just say I was blown away by the food, service, and ambience. So let's get into what was so great about this Mexican cuisine restaurant. Upon entering it gives you the feel of a restaurant on a resort or a club with a restaurant attached. The music was great, and I could smell the delectable treats being prepared in the kitchen all the way at the front door. We only needed a table for two so we were seated quickly, but not quickly enough to keep me from chowing down on Some of the chocolates they had at the front door. They found us a booth near the kitchen, which was fine because while we waited, I got to watch all of the other beautifully made plates coming out and being served. Just wait for me to get a jumpstart on what I'll order when I come back next time. We were only there to grab a quick bite, so we ordered the sampler plate to share. Our selection included Barilla tacos, quesadillas, taquitos, and empanadas. There was plenty for us to share and still get pretty full. Of course we ordered the queso which was delicious. Just a word of caution it comes in a huge heavy VAT so if you're not looking for that much cheese, you might wanna see if they have a smaller option available. As soon as we started in on the sampler, I realized I should've went ahead and ordered a full meal because everything was prepared to perfection! We paired our sampler with a couple of mock-tails (I'm recently sober) that were delish (minus the alcohol). The waitress was excellent service was great and she filled us in on all of the specials they have going on. Be sure to check them out because this restaurant featured a different type of happy hour each day of the week. The male concluded with my cousin's birthday churros adorned with a sparkler. They must have a pastry chef in the back because those were some of the best damn churros I've ever had and I live in Texas so I've eaten churros from all over! You know churros are as ubiquitous in Texas as the cowboy hat! What I really liked most was the vibe of the restaurant. I felt like I was on vacation or holiday even though you were just outside of town it was awesome. If you're looking for somewhere romantic, this might not be the place for you as it was pretty loud and hard to hear each other talk, but I will definitely be back to try some of the other things on the menu! I owe my cousin on Monday because they're half price margaritas and that's every flavor of margarita that they have! PS there are at least 8 flavors. So if you're looking for authentic Tex-Mex cuisine, this is the place for you. So good y'all! read more

Went to try their molcajete, and very disappointed they put some kind of sauce that was not good. Also, when my husband was in the restroom one of the employee used the restroom and did not wash their hands and left to go back to work read more

We had my daughters wedding rehearsal dinner on the patio! It was beautiful, they had fans, and the food was amazing! Kim, Tania, and Johnny were amazing keeping everyone feeling special! Vidorra - Lunch Taco Salad - Mexican Near Me - Rockwall, Texas

Very good but very dark and pricey, Vidorra is a great place for special lunch or dinner. The food was really good and the presentation was exceptional, from the queso served in a Molcajete bowl which bubbled and stayed warm throughout the meal to the Barrelled Nachos served as a tall tower you will not be disappointed. Service was quick and attentive. We went a few weeks after Vidorra opened here in Rockwall, so we will go back a time or two to try more menu items and their drinks. read more

Our first visit to the Rockwall location was on a Saturday afternoon around 1 PM, and we couldn't have had a better experience. We sat at the bar and were warmly welcomed by our bartender, Braxton, who was quick to serve our drinks and provided outstanding service throughout our visit. His attentiveness made the experience all the more enjoyable. We're already looking forward to coming back! read more

Good food and great service. So happy they're in Rockwall but they need to seriously up their house margarita game! It was so weak that I didn't even feel a buzz (neither did my husband). I questioned whether their margarita even had alcohol. read more

Service was really good and ambiance is great but if you're someone who dines for good quality food this is not your place. More for instagram and drinks. Destiny is a rockstar waitress! I will be asking for her every weekend. She greeted us with a smile and was willing to ask the kitchen to make adjustments as needed for the needs of our party. Everything was good , music , food except I was celebrating my birthday my niece got me a gift something small nothing expensive it was hand made, we were leaving we walked by the parking lot and I realized I forgot my gift bag , we ran and ask for it , they took like 20 min or so they check and said first time they didn't see it , then that the cleaning people took it and put it in the trash so we ask if we can look for it then they said they dumped in the dumpster at the end they couldn't find it . Before leaving the table we saw the service lady right there by our table . It was sad cause it was a gift that my niece made or for me and I'm moving out the town read more

It was okay. We ordered a fajita for four, and the portion seemed smaller than a fajita for three. Also, since the table was too small, they brought the side plates in only two plates for all four of us. They definitely gave us less food than we should have received, and this made it uncomfortable for the four of us to share. I ordered a fajita for three at a different location. I definitely received more meat, and it wasn't as expensive. The server also made several mistakes, giving us the wrong drinks and tortillas. The service could improve, but the restaurant ambiance was great. One last note: why did this location not include music at nightime? Or at least a DJ on weekend with a view at the lake. I feel this was a missed opportunity. We lack on these options in Rockwall. We don't many nice place to go out. Can this be added in the future? read more

Went in on a Saturday at open to give it a try. I loved the restaurant's atmosphere. Makes you feel as if you're on vacation. Brandon was the server, he was great. Very friendly and professional. Ordered the queso birria empanadas. Pretty tasty. Had the chili con carne enchiladas with rice and beans. They were great, filled with a good portion of barbacoa. Rice and beans had great flavor. It will definitely fill you up. Everything was fantastic. I would definitely come back and recommend it if you haven't tried them yet. read more

We've been to Vidorra at least a dozen times since it opened and our experience has almost been universally good. Great atmosphere, good food (you really need the queso blanco). Our servers have been consistently attentive, informed and helpful. We typically split the queso and an entree and it's plenty. The restaurant is very popular (always a good sign) and the only reason that I'm holding back a star is the glitches we've experienced in their managing crowds. Twice we've left after the "20-25 minute" wait time estimate stretched to 45 minutes or longer. We'll definitely be going back (frequently) but honestly probably won't stick around if there's a long waiting list. read more
