I have purchased many televisions and video players from Video Only (my first was a 27" Sony Trinitron, very fancy at the time!) over the years. They always have a great selection, better quality screens than you'll get from discount dealers and excellent prices. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. Yes, they will ask to sell you the extended warranty, but if you say no, they won't treat you like an idiot. I worked with David today getting a new television and had a great time, he was very knowledgeable, personable and carried my purchase to the car. I even brought my wife back in to chat and look at a television I knew I wasn't going to get. Will definitely shop there again. read more

Nice sales people, no pressure, questions answered well. Bought a 60 inch TV on sale which the sales guy actually recommended over the regular priced one, based on what I told him I needed it for. So why 2 stars? The delivery. They charge $50 for it, which is fine, but do not do it themselves. Not only that, but the people they contract with to do it cannot be gotten a hold of. I wanted my TV delivered in a few days. Video Only calls them to "leave a message". TWO days later they call me to arrange a day and time and leave me a v/m. I call right back. No answer. I leave a message. No call back for TWO days! I want my TV! I call V.O. For help and get told, basically: 1. I'm being ridiculous for expecting to speak with someone there because they are "obviously" busy with other customers, and 2. We can LEAVE A MESSAGE! WHAT?!? Three hours later I get called back. When I bought the TV I asked for a morning delivery. Did they offer that? No! Not until NEXT WEEK! Holy crap! So I had to take an inconvenient afternoon 2 hour appointment window and wait a WEEK for my TV. All that for $50. If you buy a TV from V.O. and need it delivered, spend the $50 on beer & pizza for the friend with a truck, or just rent a U-Haul. It'll be much less frustrating and probably more fun. read more

bought a 4k tv from them 1 year ago. they told me it would do Netflix 4k content along with many other things. the tv never did do Netflix 4k (or any streaming for that matter) so I argued with them for a couple months and they kept putting me off saying there would be a software update, the update never happened and never would happen (figured that out through the tv manufacturer). then video only told me that there would be a piece that could be installed in the tv that would fix it, and that although that part did not exist yet they would let me know when it came out. after several arguments with them trying to get them to take back the tv that did not do what they said it would they came to the conclusion of in store credit. so I got a different tv that did all that it was supposed to. during the original sale I was hesitant to spend 3 grand on a tv then the sales person told me about there 0% interest credit card for 12 months. so I took advantage of that "deal". come to find out I got my 13th payment and all the interest was added to my pay off from the original sale price. where I had my tv paid down to 1900, I now owe 3100. there staff never told me if I didn't pay the whole amount off in 1 year that the interest would be added, they just made it sound like 0% for 12 months then interest after that. I have bought several TV's from this place and will no longer be doing business with them. despite what their commercials say, if you do go to video only "you will be sorry!" read more

From my expierience I don't know where the other reviewers are coming from. My sales person spent a lot of time with me and had knowledge of the products. We left to shop around and returned later while our sales person was at lunch. The other guy jumped right in and helped us. We ended up buying a 65in plasma from VideoOnly. read more

Worst experience ever!! We bought our TV, DVD and Bose sound bar here through David and didn't have any problems so, we thought we would bring my parents in. After lots of convincing from David, they ended up purchasing a floor model Samsung 65" TV for lots of $$$$ along with the extended warranty. Within the year the TV wouldn't turn on and had to be repaired on the Samsung warranty. Within two years we thought the same thing was happening cause it wouldn't come on again but come to find out, different parts and now dealing with the extended warranty people. When my Mom went to talk with David about this she was told that it wasn't his problem and she would have to deal with the warranty people. No sorry, no let's talk about what I can do to help....just not my issue! NO customer service he just wanted her gone! 5 weeks later My Mom is still dealing with the warranty people trying to get this resolved!!!!! She has had to call a couple times a day every day ! If not for her calling she would still be waiting for something to happen. DO NOT BUY HERE!!! Not sure what was worse...my parents dealing with David or the extended warranty people. read more

The first visit was great or I would not have gone back. I lucked out with a very helpful sales guy the first time who bent over backwards to help me with my purchase. Went back for a look at the digital cameras today, and was told they would never charge the battery in the display model so that I could try it in the store. Sales guy said the only way I could try it was to buy it. Their policy is no cash back. Why would I do that when I can buy the camera from a place that will at least let me try it out in the store??? I purchased a plasma tv back in late 2012. I fell for the extended warranty ploy. Unfortunately I had to open a claim 1/6/2017. I had Rick from T.V. Doctor in Springfield come out and assess the situation. What a joke that was. He was bumbling to try and isolate what the issue was. He replaced 3 boards inside the tv only to find it wasn't that. The only follow up I had was each time I called over the course of 3 months. I've been without a tv for over a month, as he took it to his shop to try and repair. The name of the company (The Warranty Group) is nothing short of con artists. You hold for 20-40 minutes each time you call. Each time you call the story is different. Do keep in mind, replacement is not current value, it's for a comparable item/model. This warranty company sucks and you are well advised to shop elsewhere. Please save yourself some time and frustration. If you believe you are saving money by shopping there, you will come to regret it. I certainly did. I've purchased tv's since 2012 and now know I made the right decision. In my opinion shop elsewhere. Costco/Best Buy are your best bets. Both have great customer service and follow up. In my experience, the only way "you'll be sorry" is if you make a purchase there. read more

Horrible experiences here! I bought a Blu Ray player last year (2015) for Christmas. The player quit working just two weeks after we purchased it. I went to return it to the store and got the run around and after being told it probably just needed a firmware update and I didn't know what I was doing, keep in mind we couldn't get this blu ray player to do anything at this point and we had already done a firm ware update, we could not even get to that screen or a screen to reset it to factory settings. They took it to the back to see if they could get it working and after having me wait in the lobby for a good 20 minutes, they came back determining that it was more then a firmware update keeping it from working, they offered to exchange it towards another player. We did so, got home and found someone else's info already loaded into our new Blu Ray player (indication that it was not "new"). Being frustrated and fed up with my experience, we just simply restored our "new" player to wipe out the previous persons info and moved on with life. Forward 10 months later and I now have $300 worth of Amazon movies and subscriptions billed to my credit card from the original player that I had returned! After calling Amazon (who were nice enough to credit back most of, but not all of, the charges), I called Video Only to tell them what had happened and again I was treated like an incompetent 4 year old and nothing they could do about it. My suggestion to them was to change their practices! If a customer returns a device that does not work and you get it working, make sure you wipe out their info before you resell it! I just want the employees of video and more to know that it's not that difficult to reset smart devices to factory settings. If an incompetent customer such as myself can easily do it, why can't you? Not all your female customers are tech dumb, so maybe stop treating them like they are! read more
