Alright I boosted my review to 5 stars. I've shopped at this location since 1991 and over the years they consistently always have lots of stuff I like, and sometimes they give me really good deals and welcome offers. They always have things I want so I have to wait til I have money in my pocket & go back and hope it's still there. Variety of different people working there.. the guy Sterling is friendly and has stories and shares knowledge about whatever I'm interested in or talking about. I live nearby so often I like to just stop in and browse around even if I don't have any money! I'm glad Ace Buyers is in the neighborhood. read more

I don't know why they assigned people that don't know a damn thing about instruments to be the go-to person for assessing instruments. In my experience you be just as well off letting pretty much anybody assess them. I went in with a piece of vintage gear that beat up scratched up and run through the ringer and back was worth 600 bucks. They didn't want to have it because they had a couple of scratch on it. They said we just don't have a customer base for that and it said look that's what we got and I said well just because the turd shines doesn't change the fact that it is still a turd. Maybe you don't have the customer base because you don't know what it is you're looking for anybody who knows anything is looking for specific gear not shiny crap that isn't worth a damn. They got some prices on jacked up gear that would just blow your socks off and not in a good way. They're downright insulting on what they're asking you're better off going to the store and buying it brand new cuz you'd actually save money and have a warranty. Granted the guy that usually handles the instruments he's nice he's polite I can give him that over the rest of the other Ace buyers guy with the glasses is super nice and I hate to even give a bad review but, and perhaps it is the management and not him, but I can tell you they don't know what the hell they're talking about. How would you know if you have a customer base for anything if you only present brand new pieces of junk. Maybe you would have more of a customer base if you left the opportunity for something good to actually get in there. As an update, I turned right around and walked over to Guitar Center and they gave me $200 cash for it. Granted I wanted to pawn it and not get rid of it but I needed the money and if Guitar Center gave me 200 bucks for it it was worth the money. They knew what they were looking at of course but these guys don't. They lost out. I can just say that if you're in a pinch and you really need some cash man don't count on the fact that you know the value of something and it is absolutely worth that and more, cuz you'll be blown away by what they turn away. And if you're going to shop for instruments, I do that at any of the guitar shops around but not this place. Now if you need a good laugh, go take a look at some of the instruments the condition that they're in and then the price tag and you'll walk out in tears. I have purchased firearms from 3 Ace Buyers in the Eugene and Springfield area. The Springfield and downtown store gave great customer service and were very friendly, customer service oriented businesses. The highway 99 store is TERRIBLE! The staff there are rude, insulting, nosy, and seem intent upon giving customers a hard time, rather than provide pro customer interactions. I will NEVER visit the highway 99 store again! I have been there 3 times and had the same experience with different staff each time. Never will I give them another penny. Their store is empty of customers while the other two are always busy. Must be their attitude and smelly store. read more

Since I left my phone number and name with the layaway, I would have expected a call to resolve the issue before flaming a customer. This just goes to show that the professionalism is not where it should be. No, I did not go to the manager - the associate that was helping me said she would need to 'go speak with the manager' and returned with my answer. Most times I come in the gun guys behind the corner are decent. The last couple times, they gave me a attitude. I went in the to buy a gun and the guy behind the counter was more intersted in cleaning a guitar than selling me a firearm and wouldnt even help me until he was finished. After 5 minutes of standing there I left and headed down the road to the next pawn store. The last time I was in here. I came in to do a firearm transfer and the old gun behind the counter said we don't do transfers for just anybody in here. He was very rude about it and I promised to never come here again. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Pretty sad, I have used this company several times to pawn different items. This time I was forced to pawn my iPad and this time two items were damaged when I got them back. My iPad screen is scratched BAD. Deep scratches and many of them. Something heavy was set on top of my iPad and scraped across the top. Then there is my TV. The stand has a huge dent and crack in the back. I contacted the store immediately went in as soon as I noticed the scratches and was told too bad. I contacted the owner and again was told too bad. He said he needs to talk with his employees and basically said I am lying. He says once you remove an item from the store it's your problem. Oh yeah and my iPad was used and charged while they had it. They had it 6 months it had a 50% charge when I dropped it off and a 75% charge when I picked it up and there were websites visited that I never use. I am in the process of dealing with a HORRIBLE issue with Ace Buyers Pawn right now. A little over a month ago i put a shotgun and a necklace out on pawn with this Ace Buyers. I turned in the items with a Washington I.D. The address on my I.D. is my primary residence. I also have an address that we were renting in Eugene, Oregon as my husband was going to school. I gave them both addresses. When i went to go and get them out however, they tell me that i can not get my stuff out until after i provide an Oregon I.D. because that is State Law. I call and talk to someone who seems very understanding when i tell them that if they were to not give the gun to me because of my I.D. he should not have taken the gun with it either and says he agrees and assures me that if I come in and talk to the owner he is sure that he would straighten everything out. Relieved, because I at the time was packing up my last things in our rental and move them back to our address that is on my Washington I.D. before Christmas to see family. We decided since the next day we were leaving back to Spokane, we would stop at the Pawn on the way out of town and get my things. Boy, was I wrong. The second I walked into that store and said my first sentence, the owner rudely interrupts me and tells me my I.D. is apparently invalid because the address they have in their system is an Oregon address. I ask for reprint of my ticket so that I can have someone else pick it up for me and he must have thought i was stupid when he said that it was illegal to reprint tickets. I made sure with the City Police Department and ATF, there are no laws against it. What's funny is when I mentioned what Pawn Shop it was they weren't surprised and said they have had problems with them in the past. I hope the owner of this reads this, although from the way he handled himself in front of me the other day i doubt he even cares what is being said on reviews. On another note, when my husband called and told him our lawyer will be contacting him very soon for theft of an firearm, he replied with vulgar language and yelling saying he doesn't have time for this bullshit. Well as a wife of a 12 year Army Veteran who did 5 tours to Iraq totaling 6 years in deployment as an Airborne Ranger and 4 kids all on top of having Endometriosis, I sir do not have time for your BULLSHIT. Hope for your sake the judge likes that kind of attitude... doubt it though. read more

I have done retail business with Ace Buyers at their Hwy 99 location over the past two years. They are cooperative, courteous and friendly, and have several staff behind the counter who are knowledgeable about subjects like firearms. I find no evidence of those complaints from older, prior reviews, who sound to me like sour grapes, buyers remorse, whatever. Simply not my experience over a half-dozen transactions. I love Ace buyers on Hwy 99. I have been doing buisness with them for nine years and have bought a ton of things from this store. Always a good price never had a problem with anything I have bought always works. They have great Lay a way plans as well. And work with you. Troy the owner is very friendly helpful and always works with you. I didn't have a way of getting my tv home and he personally delivered the tv to me and set it up. Vikki is amazing also. She always has a smile on her face and helps out any way she can. And goes out of her way to help you even if late on lay away call her up and she works with you. I do not recommend the Springfield Store as they are not so friendly. And if looking to pawn will give you way less money than Eugene Store. read more
