I presented multiple items, including a ring (14k gold, 4.6 grams), in hopes to get as much as I could for a short term loan. I understand they are in the business of making money, but I had a gut feeling to check one more place out. I told them I would be back if I couldn't find a better offer. I didn't go back. The second place offered me $250, just for my ring, whereas they offered me $250 for the ring, a laptop and a Nintendo switch lite. It's not a huge deal, but it's nice to keep the other items. Again, they were really nice, just not the best deal out there.

I wanted to give a big shoutout to Allen over at Capital Pawn. I recently had the chance to talk…read morewith him about muskets, and I was honestly really impressed by how knowledgeable he was. He clearly has a strong understanding of the history, mechanics, different types, and overall details that go into muskets, and it was genuinely interesting listening to him explain everything. What stood out to me most was that he didn't just give quick answers or act like he knew everything. He took the time to actually explain things and answer my questions, and you could tell that this was something he was genuinely passionate and well-informed about. Whether it was talking about the differences between certain muskets, their historical background, or how they were designed and used, Allen was able to provide a lot of information and make the conversation really enjoyable. It's always nice coming across someone who is both knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge without making you feel stupid for asking questions. Allen was friendly, patient, and clearly knew his stuff. If you're interested in historical firearms, especially muskets, I'd definitely recommend talking to him. It was one of those conversations where I walked away having learned a lot more than I expected. Capital Pawn is lucky to have someone like Allen who can bring that kind of knowledge and enthusiasm to the table. Definitely appreciate the time he took to talk with me and explain everything!

Overall, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the vibe of the place made me uncomfortable. Based on how I was treated, I won't be returning and do not recommend this place.

This business needs to take responsibilities for how their employees conduct themselves, especially the manager. Not only did this place sell me a broken watch, but when I was told to come in for a refund, - "I'm so sorry it was just put on the floor today we didn't know it was broken. Come on in and we can process that" - both the employee on shift and the manager seemed more interested in telling me that I was wrong than resolve the issue. Won't be back and I'll try to make sure others don't get scammed too! P.s. If I wasn't told false information by the employee or treated poorly by the manager then this would not have been an issue at all, I'm a pretty reasonable guy.
