What a joke of a pawnshop! Isn't the point of a pawn to get a loan?? I understand it's a business that needs to make money but it's a pawnshop! So I'm thinking it's basically like a payday loan right? I Bring in my valuables they give me a loan with an outrageously high interest rate. Sounds simple enough to me yet I've been here a few times to pay their fee for a loan and I've picked up everything I've ever pawned here. With all that being said they know I have a 100% pick up rate which means they got paid and didn't even have to sit on my property to sell plus I'm bringing popular items to pawn but since they have already made to many bad loans and are stock piled with similar items to mine they make me feel like they are really putting their jobs on the line by loaning me nowhere near what i was asking for while taking in zero account of my 100% pick up rates while at same time telling me they shouldn't even be loaning the 60$ on the nearly 400$ worth of items I brought in. I'm obviously in a tough spot if I'm at a pawn shop and clearly many people don't come back for whatever reason and they are "forced" to sell their items to recover the loan but when they don't consider the pick up rate it's like a compassionless slap in the face as they're basically saying all of your items are garbage. The only reason I come here is because the time of day I get off work and certainly not the unfair guilt ridden customer service. Because there is another shop in tow that's 1000% better across the board on consideration of pick up rates, friendlyness, simpathy of their customers situation. Unlike this place dictated by corporate to squeeze every penny they can until they lose every customer they have. I won't be coming back after retrieving my things. read more

This pawn shop used to be a family owned business for many years and at that time they were awesome. But, in January 2023 they changed hands and have gone downhill ever since. They used to have a wonderful warranty that was freely given with every jewelry purchase. Now all jewelry purchases are "as is", unless you pay an additional price if 10% of the purchase price for a lousy 1 year warranty. Three days ago I bought a gold bracelet for $1,200 "as is" with very poor customer service and not even a "thank you" for my purchase. All That Glitters is not what it appears to be. First they're too paranoid to actually be a pawn shop. The elderly woman accused me of stealing what I had brought in while holding my proof of ownership in her hand. All she had to do was look at my i.d. Her statement made me concerned. I mean that paranoid maybe someone should do in-take? She literally got a crazed look in her eye, then she told me I had to leave because I had been in there multiple times trying to unload these same goods. This had been the first time I had been in their establishment in a number of years. If they truly believe that someone is in there with stolen goods they need to call the police, but then I would have told them my story and they would have left shaking their heads, because I could prove ownership. We have had a wonderful relationship with ATG in Milwaukie for years. Always fair with us and willing to go the the extra mile to help us out, be it a pawn or an outright sell of an item. This store, however, completely SUCKS. We took a men's Movado Museum watch (original purchase price was $595) in to sell and were first offered $120, but given advice on who else in Salem might want to buy it for more. Went to the other place who declined to buy it. Went back to ATG to take them up on their $120 offer. Manager stuck her nose in the transaction and made the counter clerk look up similar watches on eBay, which were nowhere near the quality of the one we have. Their return offer was $30, with sincere apologies. If I have something to pawn or sell, I'll go to Milwaukie. Avoid this place. If I could give it zero stars I would. read more

I went in to pawn something off and they tried to give me just barely over $100 dollars and selling the same item for about $480 and all I did was ask why they were only willing to offer little over $100 when they were selling one at least 3x that price and the lady shut the case my item was in and told me that I should go somewhere else. That was unbelievably unprofessional and childish. That woman with blonde hair should be fired and all of you should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you treat the people who pay for you to have a job and a paycheck. All That Glitters has a great collection of jewelry. I bought an excellent ring for my wife here. She wants to upgrade for our 20th anniversary soon. This speaks volumes for the selection they offer and the prices are lower than most retail stores. It's also fun to just look around at the guns and tools. NEVER GET JEWELRY REPAIRED HERE !!! Ive been going here for over a year buying countless amount of jewelry. The jewelry customer service has always told me to get my jewelry repair here. So once a piece of my jewelry needed repairing i finally went to get it repaired and once i came to pick it up the customer service women named Maria told me that my jewelry was broken even worst than what it was when i brought it in. my jewelry was in 3 different pieces and the manager Debbie has the worst attitude ever she didnt help me with anything. I had to wait 2 weeks to get it repaired by a better jewelry repair guy up in portland. Not to mention i live 30 minutes away and i jad to come here 3x total just to have my jewelry repaired??? and its still discolored and the links looks horrible i dont even wear my bracelet anymore after being repaired. read more

I have been a satisfied customer for nearly 10 years. I have 3 acoustic guitars and a handful of guitar effects pedals that I have rotated in and out for pawn loans, in those times that I need a little bit extra money. The customer service has always been great. I do my homework, and I know that I can't expect more than 1/3 the value of any item, as they are in business to make money. That is fair in my book. I think that fairly often people go to a pawn shop expecting them to pay or give a loan for close to an items resale value. They wouldn't be able to stay in business if they did that. I have observed interactions before, where a very unrealistic customer has gotten upset and stormed out in anger. Let's face it, we have all let our emotions cloud better judgement from time to time. The thing that I really like about this pawn shop is that over the years, I have built up a very good rapport with them. I have never let a contract expire and always get my stuff back. I have been a very good customer, and at times they have awarded me with slightly bigger loans than they would normally feel comfortable with, due to my stellar record. Over the years, I have been to many pawn shops, and only a few of them have felt like I was being treated as a valued customer. Lastly, if you are considering a pawn loan from them or want to sell an item to them (or for that case, any other pawn shop), my advice is to call in advance to see what they will take for a loan or are interested in purchasing. I have made the mistake of bringing several items in that they have not been able to take. This list does vary a bit from place to place, as does the amount that a shop will value an item at. In general, All That Glitters has been able to loan me as much or slightly more than the competition. I just stick to the few items that they have taken in the past and rotate them in and out as necessary. read more

No one smiles they only sneer and can't hold a conversation. This is customer service people. And the prices are not the greatest as days in the other reviews. I'm writing this based on my experiences as a former full-time employee for more than 5 years. Consider this: you take a loan for $100 against "grandmas wedding ring", knowing it's worth considerably more and has priceless sentimental value. You come back in a month to pay off and pick it up, but they can't seem to find it. They tell you to be patient and they will call you in a day or two. Three days later you go back and it's still missing. The manager then tells you she will talk with the General Manager and get back to you. The GM, who is also a co-owner and former president of the Oregon Pawnbrokers Association, is highly skilled at minimizing the damages caused by inept store management. The store manager finally offers you a "settlement" for the amount of the loan only. You may not have realized it , but on the back of the contract you signed, it says in small print that they are liable for "only up to the amount of the loan". You have 2 choices: hire a lawyer and try to fight their vicious legal team which you probably cannot afford to do, or accept their $100 offer. You reluctantly accept the offer. Now comes the ultimate insult: after you are handed the refund, the store manager then says that you are locked out in their system and they will never do business with you again. Like it was all your fault! This really does happen. Remember, you are playing their game and they are the home team. Please consider carefully before choosing to do business with "Oregon's most trusted pawn shop"!!! read more
