If I could give Roy John Jewelers 100 stars, I would!
More than 20 years ago, my brother-in-law, Roy John, designed and handcrafted the most exquisite custom wedding ring for me. Set in rich gold with a brilliant diamond, ruby, and emerald, it has been one of my most treasured possessions. Even after two decades of daily wear, it remained beautiful--but time had naturally taken a little of its sparkle.
Recently, while visiting Salem, I brought it back to Roy John. I was absolutely speechless when he handed it back. He didn't just clean it--he restored it. My ring looked as breathtaking as the day he first created it. It truly felt like receiving it all over again.
I also entrusted Roy John with a treasured antique Native American cuff bracelet that had lost two of its stones. This wasn't a simple repair. Roy John carefully selected replacement stones, then expertly shaped and fitted each one by hand so seamlessly that you would never know they weren't original. His craftsmanship, patience, and respect for the piece were remarkable.
Jewelry isn't just what Roy John does--it's his art. Every detail reflects decades of experience, incredible talent, and genuine pride in his work. Whether you're looking for a one-of-a-kind engagement ring, a meaningful custom design, or an expert restoration of a cherished family heirloom, I can't imagine anyone better.
To make it even more special, Roy John's son--my nephew--is now apprenticing alongside him, continuing a family tradition of exceptional craftsmanship that will carry on for generations. Seeing the next generation learn from such a gifted master jeweler makes me one very proud auntie.
If there were 100 stars, Roy John Jewelers would earn every single one. In my opinion, Roy John is simply the finest custom jeweler and jewelry repair expert in Salem.
Thank you, Roy John, for giving new life to two of my most treasured pieces. Your artistry, integrity, and attention to detail are truly extraordinary. I will cherish these pieces--and the memories they hold--for the rest of my life.
