The specific product the associate showed was a Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box. The associate informed that other hard to get products and items were in stock but would not be sold on the floor. All of the hard to get items were reserved for employees and/or friends and family of employees. I am shocked that I heard this in person. I asked to buy the Prismatic ETB and I was denied. I asked to see and potentially buy the other hard to get products being stored in the back room and I was denied. I would think that this behavior is frowned upon by Gamestop. I went to another Salem Gamestop and shared my experience. The associate was not shocked or bothered when I shared what had happened at the Keizer location. This is a very sad day for collectors in general. It is no wonder that no one can get any product these days - Gamestop employees are hoarding it for themselves.

The beer, cider, and wine options are good, but only in cans (Block 15, Two Towns, etc). The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. And the snacks are reasonable and practical as well. They have full bags of popcorn, pretzels, etc (like grocery store sized) so you can buy one and share. It's also open late enough to have time to get a game or two in. The daily fee is just $5 / person to play and gain use of the massive library. If you are new to town or just on your own, they have movies playing and a large selection of graphic novels to check out. They also host "Learn to Play" nights where you can learn a new game at meet other people. The owners are super nice and are always willing to help with rules for games and picking out games to play. Note: There is a membership fee that is waived if you are a student or if you are sponsored by a member. My advice is definitely go with a member and get sponsored to get that membership fee waived. Lastly, the games for purchase are more reasonable than most Local Friendly Game Stores and they have a surprisingly good selection given their small space. They are likely selling resealed pokémon booster packs. We picked up some packs today that we later…read morequestioned while looking at them. My son is kind of new to the pokémon game so we decided to take pictures and opened the packs anyway. We emailed those pictures to another reputable card shop owner who said the packs should never be opened at all. You can see in the pictures they're open at the top in some corners. This is just a few of the packs that we picked up. So keep an eye out if you go there to get pokémon cards because if the booster packs are being resealed it's likely most of the other Pokemon product is as well. I was also told that it's really the shops prerogative if they wish to sell resealed packs. Apparently they pick them up from scalpers. And what would they care anyhow It's all profit.
