Arrived at noon 02/10/2025, when the store opened. Looking for pops and cards today. The associate informed me that Pokemon Prismatic Evolution is in stock, but could not be brought out to the floor to sell because it is on hold for an associate to purchase. The specific product the associate showed was a Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box. The associate informed that other hard to get products and items were in stock but would not be sold on the floor. All of the hard to get items were reserved for employees and/or friends and family of employees. I am shocked that I heard this in person. I asked to buy the Prismatic ETB and I was denied. I asked to see and potentially buy the other hard to get products being stored in the back room and I was denied. I would think that this behavior is frowned upon by Gamestop. I went to another Salem Gamestop and shared my experience. The associate was not shocked or bothered when I shared what had happened at the Keizer location. This is a very sad day for collectors in general. It is no wonder that no one can get any product these days - Gamestop employees are hoarding it for themselves. read more

I seriously debated giving this Gamestop five stars. Not because of the store itself, but reading the other reviews (complete with name dropping), it almost feels like it could be read by others as a bunch of fake reviews by friends of the employees, or the employees themselves. I don't think that's the case, though, which is why I made my own review. This Gamestop is tucked into an almost forgotten corner of Keizer Station, next to an empty storefront that used to be Payless shoes, another empty storefront that used to be the home of nothing, and another one bordering that that was part of a pottery-decorating store that's now gone bust. Wow. But the store itself is bustling. Large for a Gamestop, and not at all crowded and crammed with garbage, like several you'll see in malls and whatnot. The displays are usually topical and there's a huge selection of used games for every console. Yadda yadda, that's awesome. But honestly, it really is the employees here that make this one stand out. All of them are knowledgeable on games, upcoming games, old games that senior gamers such as myself (mid-30's in the hiz-ouse!) grew up on, all that...these guys (and girls, too) know it. Hell, when you're talking games with a guy who has Kratos tattooed on his arm, you know they are not just clocking in for a paycheck and a place to kill time every day. They all do the usual Gamestop bit, pushing you to reserve games. But they don't throw out Princess Barbie's Horse Adventures Take 7: This Time It's Rainbow Personal. They have a knack for looking at what you're buying, what you're talking about, and recommending things. I've never had a Madden game pushed onto me, or even a Call of Duty, while checking out...but while picking up Assassin's Creed III, it was slyly mentioned that that particular day was the first day of pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto V. Sign me up, chief! I guess what I'm saying here is that this store is run by gamers and they live for gamers. I'm just as likely to be able to talk about my experiences with Lode Runner back on the NES as I am able to express my disappointment with Dead Island. Definitely the Gamestop to go to if you live in the Salem/Keizer area. No doubt about it. read more

Went to game stop in November. I bought my kids a switch. I figured I should re up my rewards membership since I was planning on buying a bunch of games. Plus I would get the free magazine and they were doing a BOGO on games I would get to use the next time I was in. Guess what? I never got the mag subscription. I never got the BOGO. I messed with the employees at the store twice to get this fixed ( the employees were great ), but couldn't because of having problems contacting support over the phone. I wrote them email, never got a response. My membership now expires in 3 months and I received nothing. I mean nothing. I ended up buying stuff twice and got none of the perks. They still haven't made this right. I really just want my money back for the membership. And I feel like a dope letting the sales person talk me into signing up again. read more

Game Stop is Game Stop, right? That's what I thought too. Until I went to this GS. Nothing spectacular that makes it stand out as far as GS goes. Same games. Same setup. Same ole same ole. But the difference here was Jake. He was great. I went in there with my two boys, both teens, and he was all over them with cool, hip gamer talk...taking it off of my hands and luring them into his geekspeak. I totally appreciated him. And on top of that, he saved us $20 bucks in all that we did there. We were just there for my son to buy his video games. Instead of a five minute jaunt into the game store, we were there for at least half an hour. The enthusiasm he showed my kids was encouraging and we will definitely be back to this location. These stars are given to this specific store, not to GS as a whole (not that GS as a whole is bad). If you're ever in the Keizer Station area and need to stop to get your geek fix on, look no further. Thanks Jake! read more

This was the first time I was in this store, came to get my grandson a gift card. The store is a little intimidating if you're not a "gamer". The nice clerk, Annemarie, helped me and she was great! Gave me a selection of gift cards to choose from and assured me that the card was good at any of their stores. Sure made gift buying easy as I am in Oregon and my grandson is in California! Thank you for saving me the trouble of ever coming back to your business. My kids had been on "the list" for a PS5 since it was announced. When pricing was finally revealed yesterday I called Game Stop and was told "these will go on pre-sale tomorrow and we'll be calling people on the list". I was told they were not available in their system yet so they were unable to take pre-orders. Several house later that apparently changed and they sold out of all their inventory before being able to contact the people "on the list". What an absolute joke. Staff is inept at best and poor business practices ensure we'll spend our money elsewhere in the future. I truly wish I could leave you zero stars because your business is one of the worst I've ever shopped at. Truly pathetic. read more

Gamestop - Videos & Video Game Rental Near Me - Keizer, Oregon

I am an avid female gamer and a pro-member of Gamestop for two years. I drive out of my way to come to this location even though it is farther from my house. At the other locations the staff is friendly, but sometimes come across as condescending and assume that since I'm female, I MUST be looking for a JRPG (maybe later but yes, in fact, I WOULD like Grand Theft Auto 5). I don't experience that at this location. Every time I am in, the staff engage with me, they ask what I've liked and what I haven't liked, and based on the info I've given them, they will recommend a new game and they have yet to recommend a game that I didn't like. I recommend Power up rewards but only if you consider yourself an avid gamer. I've received more coupons and awesome discounts than I can remember and have saved tons on new games and consoles. I wish their location was larger so they could have a larger selection but you can hardly fault them for that. I have purchased almost all of my consoles pre-owned and they have all functioned perfectly with no issue. Once upon a time I purchased a pre-owned memory card for a PS Vita and was assured it had been wiped prior to purchase, when in fact, it had not. However, the plethora of positive experiences I had with this location earned them one mistake and still a five star review. read more

Everyone knows that Gamestop is a horrible corporation. This particular location is generally filled with fantastic workers. However, tonight was my last straw with this corporation. I purchased the new Uncharted 4, beat it and they had a promo offer going for 50% more trade credit. I specifically called to see how much I could get, since i have to drive from 15 miles away, there is no Gamestop in my town and i always prefer this location. The girl on the phone quoted me 30$ trade in with 50% plus. So i go in hoping to only spend a few of my own dollars since she said that quoted me at about 55$. Then i go in to find she quotes me 44$ and says, "Oh that's the most trade in credit i've ever seen". Give me a break. This is the third time this has happened at JUST this location. How much money does this corporation need after ALREADY selling each game for 60$, then you take it back a day later and it's suddenly only worth 20$ to them, if that. Like i said, the people at this specific location have always been kind to us and treated us like we weren't just walking wallets, until tonight. I'm done with Gamestop, i'm sure just my business won't matter to them, but they have made more than enough money from me. I'll take my business to our local shops. read more
