We called a few days before going to the store looking for Pokémon Yellow for the Gameboy. They had a copy and held it for a few days. When we went into the store, the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We ended up walking out with not only the Pokémon Yellow but also Pokemon Soul Silver for the Nintendo DS. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for classic games and some modern games. Best part is, if you have one of the classic Gameboy games, and the save file isn't working. They will replace the save file battery for you, while you are in the store. The prices on all the games are at fair market value, and worth the stop. Overall, great experience, and we are going to do more business there in the future. read more

This place has always been worth a shot because some old games can still go for a hefty sum online while at stores like these they are decently priced. Why the 1 star? Because I would not recommend coming here unless you already know and have done your homework ahead of time. Some of the other employees are at least intelligent but there is this girl that works there and twice now I've come in to ask some questions only for her to not know and give me serious attitude as well. Oh, and for the record. I'm a girl. So this isn't some sexist complaint. I'm complaining because this person knows NOTHING about video games, consoles past and current gen, fandoms, or (I would argue) ANYTHING related to geeks and nerds. Why is she working here? I still come here every so often but now when I see her behind the counter I just turn and walk out the door and SO SHOULD YOU. EDIT: Just did some looking into it and found out the woman is the owner's wife. That's why she works here and is NOT being fired for her horrible behavior and ignorance. I love these two and their business. I shop online and collect numerous games and systems. I just love it. I couldn't even begin the list of great items I have got here. I always try to go to them to support their business and I encourage others to do so also. They have a lot of games, systems and accessories. Their prices are extremely fair. Check them out. If I could give minus stars I would. We walk in and start looking around. The lady behind the counter hollers over at us. "Mister you need to put your mask on." I respond "ma'am I have my mask on." Which I did have it on tucked under my chin and under my glasses on my nose. Before I could even get my answers out she rolled her eyes and mumbles "what ever". I respond by saying "excuse me?" The gentleman behind the counter tried to make light of the situation. But after her rude behavior (if her eyes could have melted me they would have) the atmosphere totally changed. The grp I was with decided to leave. I agree with her about using masks. The issue was her bad behavior when I showed her I had a mask on. Very unprofessional. I don't recommend this company. Go to Gamestop. Which we did and recieved great costumer service. I do have a beard and the mask is dark. I tried to give her the benefit of that. But her attitude was awfully. read more

Really great game store! Tons of old school games on up to the current stuff. Prices you get for trade in are better than I was expecting - brought in some old ps1 and dreamcast games in and walked out with a couple of newer 3ds titles. Good place to browse vintage hardware and games even if you're not looking for anything in particular. read more

My son loves old-school games and this place was a dream come true for him while we were on vacation. Lots of hard to find games and very organized. Fair prices for being a small locally owned store. Look forward to returning next time we are in town. read more

Kind of a strange little store. It's pretty small but very organized and clean. They don't have a lot of games for new systems, but they have a TON of older games for older systems, such as NES, Genesis, and especially N64. When you walk in the first thing you see is a rack of N64 game boxes. Then you notice there are 3 of these racks right down the middle of the store. Holy 1998! It's kind of cool they have all those games but kind of weird that they're featured so prominently. The person working there was nice and friendly but not overly chatty or in my face so that was nice. One very cool thing if you're an RPG nerd like I am: they had a whole bunch of RPGs for some reason. You rarely see any at used game stores (other than FF and other huge sellers), so I was surprised to find things like the GBA Fire Emblems, Baten Kaitos, Shadow Hearts, the old Gameboy FF; Legend games, and many others. Not sure if someone just sold off a collection or if they get those in regularly. Prices were pretty typical, with some decent deals mixed in. Overall they don't have a huge selection, but they're definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

I used to shop here more often, when the previous owners were in charge. Since the current owners have been running the show, the selection and prices have become too poor for me to bother going in more than 2 or 3 times a year. Their retro games are priced 2x what pricecharting.com lists them as, and the selection is terrible. I've had conversations with the current owners and they know they're prices are much higher than market value, but they're dead set on getting the absolute most for each item in their store. Worst business practice ever. I bought a game that needs an online code to continue past level 5...the code was USED. Yes, it was a used game, but how can you resell a game you can't play? I am now unable to get my money back...only 5 hours later...except for in-store credit MINUS $2 because it apparently now falls under a "rental" category. Horrible! read more

This is a great place. It definitely has a mom-and-pop feel, with (as far as I could tell) a literal mom-and-pop! I talked to the owner last time I was there and I could tell he's a video game fan, and he especially likes the N64. They have a great selection of NES, Sega Genesis, GBA and N64 cartridges. Game Boy and GBC selection was a bit slim. They also carry all the current systems, although I didn't notice any 3DS games. It's definitely a quirky place - they will ask you if you want to open an account (I did, haha) but you don't have to. They have some funky programs like "Own to Rent" where you can buy a game and if you bring it back it just counts as a rental and you get store credit back. They have a good selection of consoles and accessories as well. Their prices are pretty good, not rock-bottom but you can find some good deals if you look closely. Most importantly - the games and accessories I've bought from them were incredibly well-cleaned and in good shape. And the Pikachu N64 they use for letting customers try out games is a great touch! read more

This is a very small store. A friend of mine got a Gift Certificate for here (which is good ONLY at this location even though neither of us had ever been here but to the Lancaster one instead). We came in here looking for some games for the 3DS. They didn't have much of a selection and my friend couldn't find anything that remotely interested him. I have a feeling this GC may end up going unused for awhile and will require many trips to the store to find something. He is planning on buying a Wii U here soon so maybe we will have better luck getting a used Wii U or a game for it instead. read more

This place is a RIP off I went in and OVER paid for 2 games that sucked and was givin a free movie for buying two used overpriced games anyways went back the very next morning to return the crappy games and they try to charge me a 2 dollar per title rental fee (wouldnt have been a big deal if I was aware of the 2 dollar screw you fee) mind you I was not asking for cash back just in store credit so I can pick a more satisfying game. Ok so whatever 2 fee per title whatever jerks I bring a ps2 in with a dozen different games in ok condition's and the guy I am assuming an "owner" knew absoulutly nothing about what hes doing tells me hes not interested because of a nick on the jewel case well buddy the copy of the particular title is very uncommon and is worth over a hundred dollars in its current condition's and he didnt want the ps2 because I had no controller this place stinks and they are rude I dont know who the hell they think they are but they dont know anything about games or gaming this "mom and pop" store needs to be shut down and re-opend by jeff from the other store he knows his shit. and as for mom and pop I know some good retirement homes that mend to the mentally handicap. read more
