"Oh, you just started collecting TMNT and don't know about Groo the Wanderer..." Prices are retail for new stuff. A sleeve and board will set you back $0.25. Collectables are priced in line with the Overstreet guide, but they can be a little optimistic on the grading, so margin hard. I have never sold any used comics to them (hoarder!) and I cannot speak to pricing there, but they are legit is every other aspect that I have dealt with this on. I enjoy playing in the rat, mold and bacteria free gaming area they provide, which is literally 100% the opposite of its competitors. Board games, on the other hand...there are now better stores in the area. Matt's has the distinction that they'll take just about anything for store credit. Used to be that they would take things for cash, but that isn't the case anymore. Would be great if they had a better selection of board games, but they've had the same titles on their shelves for close to a decade, and they have done very little to move them off their shelves. The deals they have on used games are great, but again, the selection is limited. Worth a look if you want to get something on the cheap, but don't expect the latest and greatest very often.

They are likely selling resealed pokémon booster packs. We picked up some packs today that we later…read morequestioned while looking at them. My son is kind of new to the pokémon game so we decided to take pictures and opened the packs anyway. We emailed those pictures to another reputable card shop owner who said the packs should never be opened at all. You can see in the pictures they're open at the top in some corners. This is just a few of the packs that we picked up. So keep an eye out if you go there to get pokémon cards because if the booster packs are being resealed it's likely most of the other Pokemon product is as well. I was also told that it's really the shops prerogative if they wish to sell resealed packs. Apparently they pick them up from scalpers. And what would they care anyhow It's all profit.
