This place is really cool. They've got a great selection for both western comics and Japanese figures. Figures pricing is a bit higher than you'd find online, but that's common for brick and mortar shops. Great atmosphere and the staff is friendly. I picked up some DC Trades and a DC PRIDE collection. Radar Toys is my new favorite toy store. I'm kind of annoyed I didn't know about it before today. But I'll definitely be back. My husband was looking for a small local toy store to go buy a birthday gift for our baby nephew. So this is the store we picked. We'd planned to go to Target as a backup plan. I'd also fully expected we would go in here and find something and have to buy it on Amazon because it would be significantly cheaper. But that wasn't the case, and that made me so happy. Their prices are absolutely reasonable, even for things that are normally insane and overpriced. I was really impressed. The staff that are working clearly love their job and are incredibly helpful. They greeted us when we walked in, let us explore, and answered all of our questions, taking us to certain aisles and showed us things. We were definitely welcomed in the store. We ended up buying two toys for our nephew's first birthday, and I'm definitely coming back when Christmas comes closer. This is such an amazing small local business to support and everyone should take the time to stop by. read more

Not sure where to start here! John, the owner of Radar, is one of the nicest guys out there. This place is just a dram to shop in. The whole staff isbgreat and knowledgeable about the comics they sale. Have any questions, the guys and women at Radar are there to help out! They have a little of everything for you. I can seriously write a novel about how awesome Radar is. They have a subscription for comics that gives you a discount. You add comics to your list and they put them in your box then text you that you have some available. And don't worry about remembering your box number, some of us forget and they are ready to look it up. This amazing toy store is near my house so my kids and I have been going here for years. To us, it's just "the toy store." And even though my kids are now teenagers, it's still the only place they ever want to go to buy presents for birthdays and holidays. Radar toys has great selections of stuffies, Funko pop, games, comics- all kinds of toys and collectible, but as my kids would say, more "nerd" focused than the stuff you find in the toy section of a big box store (which makes it way better!) Their customer service is always great. They are always friendly and welcoming without being overbearing and pushy. And they are genuinely enthusiastic about what they sell- I have had multiple experiences of the person ringing me up just dorking out with excitement over the Lego set or beginners Magic cards set I'm buying. And they are genuinely helpful- I was in there last night trying to pick up a couple things I'd seen last week while my kids were with me, but they didn't seem to have one of the items anymore. I asked about it, assuming they were out, which they were. They said they would probably have it in next week, but then, without being asked, called around to a different toy store (not a different branch of their store) and found the item for me! I was really impressed by their focus on helping me over a focus on getting a sale themselves. Also, they have a giant Millennium Falcon hanging from the ceiling. Um yeah. This is a Collectors nightmare / dream. I mean it's a dream / nightmare. Cause ya going to be spending some $$$$. They have an online store, but being in Eugene, where we have Toy R Sucks, (who have nothing like what Radar has in Collectibles) Radar fills the void of a toy store for Toy dorks like myself. The selection of Funko Pop, and the Mystery box selection are amazing, and the owners and staff are very helpful, you know they care about helping. Just be careful not to show up with lots of cash cause you'll be seeing it disappear.. those 10$ Blind boxes add up quick. I suggest everyone check it out, we need to support local businesses like this. read more

This store is amazing. I've had bad experiences as a customer and female in so many comic book stores, including locally. Not the case at Radar Toys. Such a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere I knew right away I wanted to dive back into having a subscription box, a luxury I had let go of due to other shops messing up my subscriptions, pressuring me to pick up weekly, or neglecting my box. At Radar the box is correct, I'm never pressured to get something before I'm ready, and the staff is knowledgeable about both comics and their customers. I also get a discount for subscribing, which I dig. Speaking of staff, I think every person there has assisted me in meaningful ways. I'm usually someone who likes to be left alone by salespeople, but these guys never hover and really know their stuff. John especially has a knack for recommending stuff based on your interests, or finding a gift for a friend. I also like that the space is kid friendly and there are a range of items for all ages, and a good spread of prices. The only thing you won't really find at Radar is a large selection of used toys, but in Eugene we have other shops for that. I highly recommend this shop! read more

From the outside, the store doesn't look like anything special. But inside, they have a wonderful selection of toys, games, comics, figurines, and more. You'd expect a smaller store like this to have high prices but they really don't. The prices are comparable to other stores. I get my kids' presents from here whenever I can. read more

The store is quite big and is filled with different varieties of items from a big selection of toys, comics, card games, and apparel. Radar Toys is the most fantastic large-scale collectibles store in the Eugene/Springfield area. The establishment has variety, beautiful interior, and most importantly, a very personable team of associates who take care of their regulars and make it evident they value their business and time. The owners and other staff are constantly open to cool casual conversation with their patrons and go out of their way to make them feel so welcome when it comes to shooting the breeze about the nerd and comic culture. Even if I don't plan to buy anything on a given visit, it's the kind of place I want to go when I want to be among friends (in better words feels like the theme song to "Cheers" lol). The store's Funko Pop! area and its 8-10 ft. wall is eye-bulgingly big and a sight to behold (I'm an avid Pop! collector so...) as the seemingly biggest in town. The rest of the store's various decor (statues, spaceships flying across the ceiling area, playable arcade games, etc.) is super inviting to anyone who wants to embrace their inner geek. The occasional events the store hosts are also a definite treat and bring the local and regional community together in all the right ways (e.g. monthly Pop Swap, Free Comic Book Day, etc.). I've met so many other avid collectors of mutual memorabilia and it's always awesome to catch-up when I see them at the next event! Radar Toys is a joy to have in the Eugene/Springfield area and is a definite "must" when you want to get your nerd fix. This is the BEST toy store in town. Every time you go in to Radar you are greeted and offered assistance should you need it. They have an amazing collection of Funko Pops and comics along with legos, board games, etc. They offer great prices on all items! We used to find ourselves dreading shopping for toys because let's face it sometimes your kids want to pick out their own toys. Now we just head over to Radar Toys. Not only is this the best store in town it was the best place for FCBD (free comic book day). After not being allowed in at another store Alley pup asked Richard about her entrance status. (I heart you Richard). She learned ALL pups with good behavior are allowed in. Alley was so excited she could barely contain herself. She rushed yo the entrance of the store and was greeted by Black Widow, the Jurassic world jeep and the Back to the Future car! Inside there were 5 free comics she got to pick, an artist, posters and TOYS! Alley may be a pup but she knows s collectable Japanese item when she sees one and there were more than 1. The store was filled with toys and comics but non of it was repetative like in other comic stores in town. This store is well on its way to being THE store to go to on FCBD. No the store didn't know to advertise on the FCBD website but Emerald Comics told Alley to go so she did. read more

They have a great selection of Melissa and Doug toys. I was pleasantly surprised by the mix of toys, actually. There is something there for collectors, older kids, and for young toddlers too. Their prices are on the spendy side, like my daughter fell in love with a Care Bear that sported a $19.99 price tag. The quality seemed nice, but a little too pricey for a stuffed animal for me. Thankfully, I was able to redirect her to something more affordable. I would definitely be back. This place rocks! My family and I dropped by this place traveling from California to Washington. The place has an excellent variety of toys and games for all ages. They do have a nice collection of comic books as well. The staff was able to help me decide on a board game for my family to enjoy. I made my very first visit to Radar Toys today. I had checked out their website earlier to inquire whether or not they had a particular item in stock at their store. I emailed my inquiry, and had an answer within just a few minutes! The item was in stock so I stopped in to pick it up on my way home. This is a really nice store on W. 11th, by Payless Shoes, a block from DMV. It was really well laid out and organized, with lots of cool and interesting items, from Legos to lunchboxes, and cute novelty items. I was in a hurry so I didn't get to browse much. The guys working in there were friendly and knowledgable about the stock, and it was a pleasure doing business there. The prices were pretty reasonable on the items I looked at, especially for a smaller, local place. I know I will go back when I have more time to look around. And by the way, their website is pretty awesome as well...well organized and easy to use. read more

I purchased a piece of dollhouse furniture from Radar Toys on my Walmart App. It was not what I expected, so I tried to return it to Walmart and was told to contact them directly. I emailed their customer service and was told I could not return it through them and needed to go through Walmart. I drove back to Walmart and was told that Radar Toys chooses to deal with returns themselves. I explained that a representative from Radar Toys told me I couldn't return it through them. They said they didn't understand why I was told that. Anyway, after multiple emails and trips to Walmart, I was told I was supposed to return the item within 30 days. I emailed them twice after that to ask them to please make an exception, due to the misinformation and they have ignored my messages. I find this rude and unprofessional and do not recommend them. read more

I came here looking for pokemon cards, but unfortunately they we're all sold out. I had never been here before though, so I spent some time browsing around. They have such an wide selection of collectables and toys. I had a blast looking through all of the shelves and isles.
