The lounge was clean, peaceful and full of thoughtful touches for cat lovers. The cats were playful, gorgeous, friendly and well cared for. Prices seem quite reasonable and support an excellent cause. Hope to come back in the and would encourage others to support this small business with a big heart!

Eugene Springfield Cat Lounge (Owner) a day ago…read moreHello Gavriela, my name is Michele and I am the owner of the Cat Lounge. I have never met you and was not at the lounge when you came in, so I apologize no for what happened and I'd be happy to talk to you about it more. Please call me at the lounge or email me anytime to discuss an interaction with one of my employees. It's quite disturbing to see that you wrote negative things about "the owner" and claim that I was rude to you when I've never met you. We welcome people with disabilities at the Cat Lounge every single day, please retract your inaccurate review. This is absolutely amazing how they totally dismiss their behavior of what I Said " I was told that they don't think someone who can't keep their body movements to their selves shouldn't be around animals or even be around animals" Gavy 25 years old has a disability which I can't control my own body movements because I have tremors that run through my body sense I was a little kid who as I was born with this disability " So I'm definitely don't recommend this place for anyone who cares enough about cats or animals should know that Greenhill Humane society is a Free source for spending time with cute cats and animals and they don't disrespect their customers what so ever. Also I have to say one more time For someone with disabilitys sometimes we can't control our body movements so sorry but you guy's have just lost a bunch of customers. It's not only about the service of the cat lounge but it's also the people the front desk who continually make very hurtful comments and certain stuff about people with disabilities such as myself I felt very hurt and disgusted by the way the person at the desk was treating me and my group I was there with my group home manager and DSP and the lady was continually making some very hurtful comments by such as oh you shouldn't be touching the cats you know because you have don't smack My cats like that's not okay I wasn't trying to smack the cat I wasn't trying to hurt the cat my tremors in my body sometimes I can't control them so sometimes I have to like try not to do anything it's just it's my tremors I have a disability where I can't control my body movement so to have a woman come up to me and be like you shouldn't be touching a cat if you can't control yourself in fact you shouldn't be here at this place even coming in here is not okay you shouldn't be here not only that but making certain comments or rude rude looks including that or a cat threw up everywhere and I walked in and I kind of felt gross and icky and I felt like her whole attitude towards us as customers wasn't very appropriate or respectful if you're going to be a person that owns a building such as a place for people to come interact with animals or even just to come into your store and enjoy but the fact is this lady had no freaking respect for anybody that came in she was very rude very disrespectful she in fact was just disgusting when it came towards the animals I felt like the cats could have been in a better situation so yeah I'm just going to say I do not you just lost a bunch of people that are no longer coming back to your company I hope you understand what you did was not okay that is plain and simple freaking messed up you shouldn't be a owner at all not only that but just being disrespectful to people that are coming in to help your cats get homes and treating them like s*** is not okay it's not it's not okay you lost so many customers I hope you're happy with that.

They have a very up to date and comprehensive collection of modern board games in their library to play (think Catan, Azul, and Ticket to Ride). The beer, cider, and wine options are good, but only in cans (Block 15, Two Towns, etc). The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. And the snacks are reasonable and practical as well. They have full bags of popcorn, pretzels, etc (like grocery store sized) so you can buy one and share. It's also open late enough to have time to get a game or two in. The daily fee is just $5 / person to play and gain use of the massive library. If you are new to town or just on your own, they have movies playing and a large selection of graphic novels to check out. They also host "Learn to Play" nights where you can learn a new game at meet other people. The owners are super nice and are always willing to help with rules for games and picking out games to play. Note: There is a membership fee that is waived if you are a student or if you are sponsored by a member. My advice is definitely go with a member and get sponsored to get that membership fee waived. Lastly, the games for purchase are more reasonable than most Local Friendly Game Stores and they have a surprisingly good selection given their small space. Overall, Gamagora is a great option for some evening entertainment and doing something different on a date night. I have had nothing but great experiences there and will definitely be going back regularly!

We randomly attended "The Creator & Artisan Showcase &…read moreMarketplace Extravaganza" on Dec. 9th after a kind of pathetic internet search for Anything to do for the weekend I could take my fifteen year old along for, and we all LOVED IT. There's not a lot to do that isn't a bar in... Western Oregon honestly, and Conundrum House is solving it. For insanely reasonable prices (that lower even further with membership) you can rent table space for RPGs, gaming time on video games, attend costume events, themed tea parties (with incredible gnosh), enjoy interactive murder mysteries and far more than I'm going to take time to list here. All in a beautiful building full of art and whimsy run by incredible, enthusiastic people. They support local artists, writers, game creators and creatives of all sorts in a way you don't often see in this area. So comfortable it's a bit like going home, and every inch of it was made with the intent to build fun artistic and creative community upward. The owners are amiable, chatty, and proud of what they've accomplished, and they should be. Need something to do outside of the same old drudgery? Get here! Check it out, inquire within, look them up, they deserve the community's support. They opened six months before Covid and managed to survive it, if that doesn't scream worthy business, I don't know what does. It's nested on the second floor so pay attention to the sandwich board on the sidewalk, it's totally worth a short trip up the stairs. I recommend checking this out heavily. Perhaps the most check-outtable place I've ever reviewed. We will definitely return.
