Another local high-end jeweler said that it was not fixable, after they had kept it for over a month. They sent it out somewhere and have no in house expertise. At Willamette Artisans they described what needed to be done, the cost and that if it was not fixable, they would call me immediately. All was done inhouse. I am pleased with the results. It's been over 4 weeks since my first call. I have called twice requesting a call back from Tanya to discuss the ongoing issue with my ring and the new setting they made. I have now lost two diamonds in 6 months. The first diamond I lost, they questioned me and didn't believe they made my ring. Mathew didn't even bother to check my records. I was met with attitude and made to feel as if I was lying. They fixed it with a cheap, darker looking diamond that stands out compared to the rest. This was in August of 2025. fast forward to Feb 2026, I lost another diamond in the same area of the setting. I have called twice requesting to speak with Tanya since she is who I sat down with to re-design my ring. Again, two separate phone calls and still no call back. The second call, I spoke with Mathew and told him I was not comfortable working with him after how he treated me in August. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service and lack of call back to make this right. We spent a lot of money to have them redesign it and to "beef it up" with more metal and after looking at pictures of the previous setting and what it looks like now, I don't believe they actually added metal and now I'm loosing diamonds. They came highly recommended as a local jeweler but unfortunately I can't recommend them based on my experience. read more

They've got beautiful personal jewelry. The only thing that I was kind of turned off on was that I had taken something in there and one person quoted me a much higher price than the owner who came in and offered a considerably lower price . There doesn't seem to be a lot of communication between the owner and the appraiser. If you've got somebody that is handling your appraisals you definitely want to be on the same page or come to a conclusion together. Staff seems professionally polite. read more

They were super accommodating of the fact that we wanted lab made gem stones, which was fantastic. Another store we encountered was not as accommodating in that regard. They even got it done in a shorter timeline than they initially gave. Let me tell you, Tanya is THE best. She made the processing of customizing our ring an exciting and smooth process! She listen to what we wanted, had expert advice on choosing a metal and stone, and answered/addressed all of our concerns. Unlike other jewelers we had approached for my engagement ring, Tanya was warm and welcoming and did not try to tell us what was she thought was best for our ring. (We had other jewelers say to us "I think white gold is best for you, this is what you want.) When described my dream ring to her. She sketched it out on a paper and helped us work through all our options. When we told her we wanted a hexagonal cut gem, there was no "well that's not a good idea/ i don't know if I can find it / it will probably be a lesser quality gem". She was just like "we'll send it to the gem cutters and get it EXACTLY how you want it!" It turned out to be destiny when she pulled out a tray of colored gems and I found the PERFECT Montana sapphire. My eyes locked on it and we knew it was the one. Karmin helped bring the sketch of my dream ring to life! We went with 100% custom, CAD jewelry and he was able to show us digital picture mock ups. Even when I couldn't figure out what exactly I wanted changed (a smoother/more delicate band) Karmin was able to understand what we were asking and the second mock up was perfect! Karmin then printed a 3D resin model of my ring so I was even able to try it on my hand before we went it to get casted in platinum! The whole process was exciting and perfect! And best of all they already have the design for my wedding band archived and ready to be made once we need it. 10/10 would definitely recommend these guys!!! read more

The owner is very nice and worked on a way to get these triplet opals set I bought in Australia. It was a set of three, one large one for a pendant and two other small ones for earrings. My girlfriend at the time, now my wife, had formally had spacers in her ears so stud's wouldn't work so they soldered on some clasp back hooks so they would work for her ears. This solved the issue but they don't hang straight. The main issue that bugs me, although my wife still likes them, is that they decided to do claw settings. This type of setting makes the black quartz backing visible. read more

What a DRAG when your finger changes sizes on you (yeah, 2-3 months later, it ain't going back!). Took my 18K Celtic wedding band for resizing and the job done was amazing and the polishing made it look new. Price was beyond fair. I had taken an antique pocket watch bezel there once a few years ago and needed the gold to look like Silveroid and the matching/job done was fantastic. I took 3 rings in to be sized and one to be updated with new diamonds. I called on the day the first two were supposed to be ready, they hadn't started working on them yet! And the jeweler who has it is 'out sick'. I explained how I really needed one of the rings for a memorial service that week and they did get it to me before that. But the third ring - which has now been there almost a month... Promised date was yesterday, so I called and they said it was still being worked on but would be ready after 3pm. I said I'll come in the morning. "Ok, we open at 10am". I drive up there today (30 minute drive one way) and it's not ready. It's not even started. And guess what? The jeweler who is working on it is "out sick"! I'm not happy. All the fun of having these rings fixed has been sucked away and now it's just annoying and costing me too much time and money. Really sad. I had a bunch of my grandmothers clip on earrings made into studs. I spent over $800 on this project. In the end, none of the earrings worked because the holes in my ears were too small for the studs. I selected the back type that you screw on so I wouldn't lose the earrings, but was not informed the the diameter of the backs tend to be larger with this style, and thus might not fit into small earring holes. I asked if they would fix the backs and unfortunately they were unwilling. I just feel like "experts" should be aware of the tiny details when taking on large and sentimental projects, and should be willing to acknowledge their blindspots and correct for them. Hopefully one day I'll be able to wear my grandmas earrings ams think of her. read more

I wanted to support a local small business and regret it. First experience was involving a mistake they made in ordering me the wrong sized earring backs then making an attempt to blame me. I requested a refund as the appropriate backs were over $100 and not in the budget. Jane was rude enough to assume I would ask other people to pay the difference rather then admit they made a mistake and correct it. I eventually received backs but not without several calls and attitude. Stupid me also dropped my wedding ring set off to be soldered. At drop off I had to a request a receipt that I was dropping my rings off and Jane gave me a sticky note with her signature on it. No intake process at all but I still gave them my trust regrettably. My diamonds rings were placed in a little ziplock with name written on it and tossed in a bin. One week later the soldering has failed and I'm left with damaged rings. Can't get the owner to call me back. Taking my business to Skies where they have a thorough intake process including pictures and documentation of your precious diamonds.... While stood around in their shop I overheard advice given to a man who was attempting to have his partners rings repaired. It looked like a simple gemstone ring and was told it would be less expensive to just replace the ring and I believe he did. There is no care to the sentimental value of a customers piece. read more

I recently went to Willamette Artisans to get a ring, that was my grandfather's, resized to fit my fiancee. They did great work! Since they polished it as well, the ring looked brand new. And while I was there I asked for an appraisal on how much it would cost to slightly resize my own ring, as it was my mother's and just slightly too small. While visiting Eugene and working at my son's house I tripped and sprained my ring finger. By the next day my finger swelled so much that I could not remove my wedding ring. We visited Willamette Artisan Jewelry and Donny was able to cut the ring off of my finger. He also did a rush repair job as we were returning home in only a few days.
