I had a 3:40 appointment to get my phone battery replaced. I thought my phone was up to date since I had auto update on. So they were kind enough to plug it in to update. I waited over an hour and my service tech was helping someone else. I asked if it's ok to go to my car for about 20 minutes and was told yes and to just take my phone. I did what I needed and went back only to be told they had NO certified tech able to do the actual work. Which means I spent over 90 minutes waiting to be told I would have to make a new appointment. I had already drive. 45 minutes for this appointment and it was just a waste of my time and gas. read more

This company used to be great. Now it's garbage. Expecting a fridge for delivery today. Removed old fridge to prepare, got a text this morning that it's out for delivery. Called at 1 to get an idea of time for delivery and was informed it's not being delivered today. Next delivery date 15bdays from now. Was not notified it was not being delivered, was in fact notified it was out for delivery. This is absolutely unacceptable. I was not notified and now I have no refrigerator for 15 days? I am extremely pleased with Best Buy and their service. We walk in and were intercepted by a host of sorts who made a call and got a service tech for us. The reason I went in today was to upgrade my phone. I really don't like these newer phones with the full screen. It's like I can't even pick up the things without triggering a weather report in Podunk USA or something. So I pick up the last 'New' iPhone SE 3rd gen before they go out of production. A phone with a button on front! Hopefully they get reintroduced in future generations because these new buttonless ones are too sensitive. Anyway... this is about the awesome and personal service we got from the folks at Best Buy. They had what we wanted in stock. Setup was a breeze. They spoke in layman's language and were very articulate to boot! There is plenty of staffing, the store itself is clean and well lit, and again, the service is excellent. Well that didn't go like I thought it would ... Ordered a TV this morning thru the Best Buy app - by paying an additional $9.99 could get it delivered today. Great!! Pay with my card, all info out in rejected. No reason why.. but when I go back to look - no security code. Added- rejected.. Check address, card number, exp date- what ican see is ##/20 . Rejected. This goes on for several times. I delete card and readd all information. When I get to exp date- I finally figure out their format is 2# and last 2# of year. Rejected. Well I had entered card so many times, my bank shut it off to check for fraud. I use Best Buy chat app and they held me figure out card was locked. Ok-I cancel tv. Go fix card. Come back reorder-and delivery is no longer available. AwwwShoot Ok- curbside it is. Get notified it's ready. Pull up in front of store-walk inside and tell greeter that I'm here for curbside pickup. He directs me to line. Go stand in line (behind 3 others) well ok?? Standing there thinking what did I miss? Go back to app and find spot to notify them I am there. I do so and am headed back to talk with greater.. sakes gal stops me and nicely asks are you here to pickup curbside. Yep! I give her my code and she says we will be right out! One winner- one star Gentleman brings it out. I purchased a 50" tv- picking up in a ford focus with seats down. Immediately says.. if you lay down it could damage the TV because there is no padding on front or back. And if you lay it down it will void the warranty. We end up propping it up at a 45 degree angle. Does that mean I lost 45% of my warranty So an app.. that yelled you nothing on a cc entry issue . So you play hunt and peck. No warning about TV handling before you buy. And no help at entry to make the experience as easy as possible. I reminded myself.. there is a reason , a big reason , that I just buy from Amazon and not Best Buy. The lesson will be repeated until I learn Ohh and I went to the Best Buy website and the Best Buy app but didn't find a place to give a review. The managers and staff here seem to be playing a never-ending game of "Who Knows Less?" when it comes to their own processes. I've spent the last 14 years loyally buying appliances and electronics from this store, choosing to support brick-and-mortar and local workers over the convenience of Amazon. Big mistake. Amazon delivers to my door. This place delivers headaches. The customer service is abysmal--like, "how are you still in business?" bad. The manager (young woman, long dark hair, glasses) is a masterclass in what not to do. She shouldn't be managing a sock drawer, let alone actual humans. We purchased an oven from Best Buy and set up the $100 delivery service. We were given a window of 7am to 7pm as the delivery time. So, we stayed home all day to make sure we did not miss the delivery. There was no calls or text letting us know if the window of time had narrowed down to a more clear time. Seven pm came and went and no oven was delivered. We did not receive a call to let us know that the delivery had been canceled. We called Best Buy the next day to figure out where our oven was. Apparently it had not even been picked up at the warehouse. We were directed to reschedule our delivery date. The next available time is two and one half weeks later. We had already disconnected and removed our other oven which now needs to be put back in place so we have something to cook on. We were not offered compensation like a free delivery after their screw up. After this we will not be shopping at Best Buy. read more

The 30-day workman guarantee is a lie and a scam. Geek Squad technician(s) in Springfield, OR damaged the interior hardware of my phone in several places after coming in for a back camera replacement. Once picking up my phone from Geek Squad after the camera replacement, the phone has been suddenly shutting down every 3 minutes. Stripped screws, missing caps, and improperly attached cables were uncovered by another Authorized Apple Service Provider, when Geek Squad refused to help me. We called Apple and they advised me to return to Geek Squad and demand a supervisor. Geek Squad said they would repair or replace the phone but then never did. They claim to have run a diagnostic test and because the damage is unrelated to the original repair, they can't do anything to help me. Calling customer service sent me on a wild goose chase with no help. I was given 5 different numbers to call and kept getting to an unrelated department, such as shipping or android phones. Two separate people hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I paid $169 for a phone that wont stay on and now is failing diagnostics in the speakers and wireless charger. read more

My service ended up being a lot more complicated than I was originally prepared for and I ended up having to come back multiple times. I really appreciated that everytime I stopped by, the guys working recognized me and already knew what was going on so I never had to repeat myself. They were all extremely professional and went out of their way to walk me through procedures and made personal recommendations for replacement parts. My computer is working better than it has in years now and I'm so thankful. It took a while (through no fault of theirs), but they accomplished exactly what I needed to happen. After working for about a month to get a kitchen stove delivered I now understand how Best Buy works. When you call any phone number you end up at a Call Center somewhere in the world. The only way you can actually talk to your local Best Buy is to drive to that location. My stove delivery date was changed 3 times. Stupid me thinking they were really busy and be patient. After driving to my local Best Buy I found out that the stove was out of stock at the store. I purchased it on-line and the delivery date given was the following week. If I would have known this I may have found a stove elsewhere. No customer service from the Call Center/Corporate Division/local stove. No one called me to say what the problem was and why they kept changing the delivery date. When calling the Call Center I had these experiences: 1. Long wait times and disconnected before anyone answered. 2. Long wait time and a person finally answered, rattled off a phone number fast and hung up. 3. Finally called and George answered the phone. I walked in looking to purchase an IPad and some accessories. Here's how things went: First, I waited in the Apple section for 15 minutes while an Employee ignored me. Inferring that I must have to ask or make an appointment to be helped, I went to the front of the store and was instructed to speak to the Host. The host asked my name, then proceeded to laugh, ask my name again, laugh, "what?!" Then stated "that's an interesting name, imma just put you down as 'Jared'" Jared is not my name. After waiting another 10 minutes at the apple section once more, an employee called my name (Jared) and asked me what I wanted. He then proceeded to scowl at me while I listed off what I was looking for, the only sales pitch I got was "anything else??" He then told me he would be back in 5 minutes with the items. Finally, to finish up the night he came back and informed me I was not allowed to use my families TotalCare membership for my purchase and instructed me to pay for my own or leave. I'm not great with confrontation so I just thanked them and left, but the experience of attempting to buy a device to use for university at Best Buy was overall degrading. read more

To start SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE, army crawling across sandpaper is a better alternative to my time that attempting to get help at this location. My past couple experiences with Best Buy have been negative so I was apprehensive to do buisness with them again, however I purchased online to avoid the poor customer service I recived previously. Pretty much the same experience as ordering through Amazon but I needed the laptop fast and this was the fastest way and I needed it for school. This went off with no inceident as the Best Buy staff was minimally involved. However I had to return the computer due to slight damage with it. Best Buy with its incredibly short return window made it to where I had to use the Protection plan as it was only a few days past the return window. . When I took it in I knew it would be a exchange but the Geek Squad guy said he would have to send it off. Ok, not the best outcome for me as it would be a few weeks but it is what it is. Then I got an email from Geek Squad that it had to be exchange. Having previously had the displeasure of going here I knew it would be a difficulty to get an exchange. This is where things go from bad to the 9th ring of hell. Waited 30 MINUTES to get help only for them to tell me the laptop I was trying to exchange for was out of stock and quickly shuffled the credit to a charge card. When i asked if they could refund it back to the credit card he said too late he couldnt do it. Fine went over to the computer section to find a new one. Naturally there was no one around to help. So after a while of looking up specs myself and basically doing all the leg work on finding something right for me I accidentally tripped one of the alarms on the laptop I was looking at. It then took 10 minutes, so long other shoppers started complaining about the loud ringing, for someone to finally come and disable the alarm. Looking at the device again I accidentally set if off again to which the gentlemen rudely informed me to be careful with it as the alarms sensitive( I had been looking at other laptops that the alarm didnt trip). At this point I was done and just wanted to get a computer and leave. An employee comes up and asks if we were on the que. We werent but I had chosen a laptop that was more than the charge card and was ready to pay, all he had to do was take the box out and take it up front for us to pay. He then informed me that we had to be on this que noone had told us about. At this point we were done and so I told him dont bother to put us on the que and that since I had done everything else myself at this point that I would just put the order online. He then proceeded to follow us as we were leaving to ask if we needed anything else as we repedetly told him no. Then we( at this point stupidly) talked to the manager to see if there was any way to get the charge card amount back on my credit card as truthfully I was ready to eat the $200 protection plan just to never deal with this company again. This is when the manager informed us that we could SUBSCRIBE to their Best Buy plus member ship to get their extended return policy of 60 days( kinda scummy Best Buy). However if it ment I never had to deal with Best Buy again then this would be the Best $50 I had ever spent. To which he said the words I never want to hear " A team lead will be with you as soon as possible". Following this we waited 10 to 15 minutes before being helped. However after explaining the situation the lady helping us said there was nothing she could do as we sent it through Geek Squad. So in the end I still dont have a computer, and have a charge card with a buisness I never want to interact with again. I am in the same position minus all of my money as if I had orgininally spent $50 for that membership. My recomendation just use Amazon. You get a better level of customer service than Best Buy( none but thats better than Best Buy), better return policy and better protection plan. read more

I was very disappointed in some of the staff because there were so many blue shirts standing around not doing anything when we actually needed help, and the person that actually ended up helping us on one of the two days we had gone was one of the stock boys. On the second day, it was the actual cashier. I would be giving 5 stars if we hadn't of been ignored by the blue shirts standing around acting like they didn't know what to do. 7/21/23: I had an appointment scheduled to fix my tv, they gave me a date and time frame which was 7am-7pm, inconvenient but whatever. The day before they sent me a text telling me a more accurate 4 hour time frame, 1:30-5:30, which was nice. However, it was half an hour past the time frame so I called (also sucks talking to a robot for the first two minutes) and it turns out they rescheduled my appointment without letting me know. I work 12 hour nights so spending an entire day waiting for them was a complete waste of my time. Geek Squad needs to get it together. Eight days and one employee callout later, they finally showed up-with the wrong part. After we told them exactly what was going on (power to the TV but no picture) they had ordered the wrong part. New appointment is in a week. Sorry but these might be the dumbest geeks I've ever seen. One star is too generous. Update: 4th attempt at contact- was notified that the employee was going to arrive today. Minutes later, I get a text saying I have an appointment in 4 days. Idk what to even say at this point. 5th appointment cancelled, repairman called out again. At least they called? 10/2/23: Between my last update and now, I learned that the first 5 "appointments" were with someone named Eric, who no longer works there. We still had trouble with other people ordering the wrong parts and not knowing how to fix the TV, but everything makes more sense now. After many more phone calls and failed appointments, I finally just went to Best Buy and given that it's been two months since our first appointment, asked for a new tv. On 7/24/24 I purchased a tablet online. I picked it up the next day and also completed a trade-in for the same model tablet that my son had accidentally broken. We are currently using T Mobile as our cellular services provider. I needed a quick solution and found this great deal on the Best Buy website. So, I made the purchase and went to my local store (3300 Gateway St. Springfield Oregon 97477) the next day. Before turning in my trade-in for a $21.00 discount I asked the associate if the tablet I purchased online was compatible with my cellular provider. She assured me that Yes, it is and I will be able to insert my SIM Card and be able to use it with my T Mobile Service. Then it was at that point that I gave my tradeon to Best Buy only because I was assured that the tablet I purchased was the correct one. When I got home that evening I called T Mobile and asked them if they could assist me and they told me that the table I purchased was not compatible and that I should go into a T Mobile store to make sure it was a table they could connect to their services. I then went to my local T mobile store and they assured me that the tablet I purchased from Best Buy was not compatible with their services. I proceeded to tell them that they assured me that it would. I then rushed over to the Best Buy store to make a return and was told that I could not be given my trade-in back but I can get a refund of the tablet. Knowing that I am still paying T Mobile for the broken tablet I told them that they had given me false information and that If I had known it was not compatible I would've never made that transaction for the trade in since I am still paying for that tablet under my T Mobile cellular plan. I was very disappointed and upset that it was without the broken tablet and that they could not return it back to me since they initially provided me with false information and I asked them if they are sure that the table is compatible. I feel that it was not my mistake and was provided with inaccurate information. The person advised me to call customer service and they were unable to assist me and advised me to talk to someone at the store. So now it was twice that Best Buy had given me inaccurate information. The next morning I went to the Best Buy store to try to solve the problem since we were leaving for the airport for a family emergency and my 6 year old needed a tablet. Again the store manager Gave me the same information and told me that she could not give the trade-in device back to me. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences ever and I feel that Best Buy could have done so much better in this situation. I was provided with inaccurate information twice and several Best Buy associates seemed unwilling to help or empathetic. Chances are that no manager will ever read this and even respond to me. I for one will never shop, promote and recommend anyone for purchasing at Best Buy. My hope is that someone does respond to me and tries to persuade me in not giving up on Best Buy. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Yesterday we went to return a printer that did not work. We were in line when a 20 something girl with short blonde hair asked if we were picking up a purchase I said no, that we are returning something. She said that the folks behind me in line had priority customers as they were picking things up they purchased. I said we were in line ahead of them and were also paying customers ahead of them in line. She shook her finger in my face and said "you listen to me - I will take care of them first then help you". I was in shock at being spoken to that all I could do was stand there unable to comprehend such rudeness. In addition, we were told they would not take the printer back we had just purchased and were told to call epson directly for service then she proceeded to address the folks behind us - thereby we were dismissed and ignored. Wanted to inquire about some lenses for my camera but the queue system they use to get anything behind a locked gate, basically the entire store, takes like 20-30 minutes to get any help. The store isn't packed and theres constantly employees walking by me while I stand in the same spot. Being in this store and actually wanting to buy something feels like the employees have the "they aren't my problem attitude" and the only person that talked to me in the store was the security guard when i entered and exited the store. If you are going in here and know what you want it still wont be a quick trip, carve out a good chunk of time you'll have to spend in here hopefully to get your item, because if its out of stock you just waited all that time for nothing... that has happened to me here too. read more

The employees at this Best Buy went so above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We went to get my mother-in-law a new cell phone and computer while we were visiting Oregon, and we needed to do it before we left for home (in LA) the next day. We purchased a Samsung phone because it had "easy mode" only to find out there was an error that was preventing users from accessing easy mode on that phone. Erik, quite possibly the best Samsung employee ever, was with us all the way, trying new phones, new solutions, looking for comparable phones we could switch out, etc. He told us he was committed to staying until we found a solution, which made us feel good about sticking with the process. After over an hour of troubleshooting, it felt like all the store employees were rooting for us and trying to find a creative resolution. Needless to say, there were a lot of twists and turns that left us in Best Buy well after closing time, and a full 1.5 hours after Erik's shift was scheduled to end. Nevertheless, all of the employees remained warm and understanding. (There was another person helping us and now I can't remember his name but he was also wonderful!) In the end, the only option was to choose a different phone, which Best Buy graciously gave us at no additional charge thanks to the hassle we went through. Danielle, the store manager, already knew about the entire situation when I approached her to approve the solution and she handled the whole thing with empathy and kindness. Honestly, we could not have asked for better service at this Best Buy. Give all of these wonderful folks a raise and a high five. read more
