    Their equipment at my apartment complex does not wash or dry my clothing adequately and they charge way too much to use their machines.

I have found over the years that at the Corvallis store there is only three people employed there that are truly helpful. Bruce, if you need help in plumbing or hardware, Gina, for electrical, and Tom, for everything else. You got it; if you need help in gardening, plumbing, electrical, lumber, hardware, flooring, bar b que grills, power tools, etc, He is the most helpful person by far. He goes above and beyond to assist every customer to the best of his ability. It never ceases to amaze me how customers will stand in line for Tom's assistance. Home Depot you have a rare jewel in your presence. This man deserves a humongous raise, because whatever you are paying him is definitely not enough. I noticed that he as well as a few others are wearing "Coach" badges now. Where are the managers, the guys who make the big bucks, hiding while these few individuals are doing their jobs of training all these young people, who don't have a clue of what real work ethic is? 5 Stars for Tom in plumbing.

    I just finished a 4 month remodel of two bathrooms. Home Depot service used to be great, special…read moreeven. Now it's awful. Many staff aren't informed about their job. They can't help you. A man in the paint department said he's not good at color. I asked if there was blue tint in the sample he was making and he said he didn't know and he didn't how to look it up. He said the color was pink and asked why I thought it had blue. I told him it looks purple. Nothing like the pink I asked him to make. Today I waited nearly 15 minutes in the paint department for someone to arrive. 10 of those minutes the phone was ringing non-stop across the way in customer service. I was calling to see if I could get help. I watched customer service standing around talking to one another, not answering the phone. So, I walked over and asked if there was someone who could help in the paint dept. They said someone would eventually come. I asked if he heard the phone ringing, He told me they don't even hear it anymore. I pointed at my phone and said the timer shows I've been calling for over 10 minutes trying to get help and there are 4 of you chatting here. I left it ringing a few more minutes until someone helped me in paint. I was calm and polite and so disappointed by what Home Depot is these days. I don't mind waiting, as needed, but no one is helpful. No one seems to care. I bought tile, flooring, paint, and so forth. I started driving to Lowes in Albany so I could get better help. I don't want to commute for this. My next project is a deck. I won't be working with Home Depot.

They have it. You could go to a national chain store where the lackeys, er, uh, employees don't have a clue. You might find what you're looking for. You won't pay any less. Or, you could go to Robnetts, and if you don't immediately see what you need, one of the staff will take you right to it. Have an odd fastener? They have it in stock. They can even tell you exactly what it is before you go looking. My only dig was one time I needed a bolt for some furniture. They had one that fit, but it was a bolt with a hex head that takes a standard wrench rather than flush top that uses an allen wrench. Guess what? My chair still works! Not too long ago I needed an odd light bulb. I wanted to get an LED version. They had exactly what I needed, and I paid less than what I would have paid had I ordered online. Another time I was looking for some oddball light bulbs for a friend. They had the EXACT match, both in halogen and LED. I got the LED. Sweet. Just recently, I needed an odd sized allen wrench. I have so many of them, and I have a few sets. I didn't need a whole set, just one wrench. Eighty-nine cents and two minutes later it was in my pocket and I was on my way with a smile. A few years later, we converted a laundry room into a bathroom so returned to Kelly's to shop for a stackable washer and dryer. The salesman asked about the brand of our washer and dryer, and sold us the very inexpensive part needed to stack the appliances we had at home. Money saved! Recently, in search of double wall ovens, we yet again returned to Kelly's. This time we met Todd Edgar. We had done a *lot* of research and were pretty sure of what we wanted. Todd really knows his stuff! He answered our questions, provided knowledgeable insight, and researched our concerns. I especially appreciated his ability to communicate information clearly. I ordered a professional range 2 months ago, and today was the fourth delivery attempt--which I ultimately declined and requested a refund. Four separate delivery days where I planned my day around and cancelled plans because of delivery. It takes A LOT for me to write a bad review. I am absolutely baffled by the level of incompetence from the sales team at Kelly's. I would never recommend buying from them. If your appliance arrives in perfect condition, consider yourself lucky--you do not want to deal with this company if anything goes wrong. I still have not received a single unprompted phone call. Delivery Attempt #1: The stove arrived and when the protective tape was pulled off, it left residue everywhere and the stainless steel looked damaged. I declined delivery. Frustrating but understand it's no one's fault. However, one of the delivery people and our sales person implied that we should just give it a little elbow grease ourselves. We paid several thousand dollars for a new stove, I think that is unreasonable to tell a customer to do that. It was taken back to the store, where the sales staff supposedly "cleaned" it. No call from our salesperson to schedule new delivery. Delivery Attempt #2: The following week, they attempted delivery again. It still wasn't in acceptable condition, so I declined it again. Our sales person was not friendly and acted like we were being unreasonable. I ordered a brand new stove so I think it's pretty reasonable to want in perfect condition upon arrival. So they then ordered a completely new stove. Again, no one called me about a timeline or delivery. Delivery Attempt #3: My delivery window was 11:45-3:45, but they didn't show up until 6:30 PM. I received zero communication--I had to call repeatedly just to get updates on arrival time. I have a toddler and a stove I couldn't use because they kept saying they were arriving any minute. The new stove arrived with the exact same tape issue. Frustrated, I begrudgingly allowed them to bring the stove inside with the promise that a cleaning crew would come the next week-- still not convinced that they would be able to get it cleaned, but so frustrated that I had been sitting at home for hours waiting and wanted to just get it done. The installers pulled out my old stove, brought the new one in, and after working through dinnertime, bathtime, and bedtime for my toddler, they informed me at 8:30 PM that they couldn't install it because they didn't have the correct fittings. This was the first time anyone mentioned a professional installer. Again, communication has been nonexistent the entire time aside from automated delivery confirmations. Since I couldn't be without a stove with a toddler, they had to bring back my old stove and reinstall. They left our home at 9:00 PM--from a window that was supposed to end at 3:45 PM. After going back and forth with the manager, we finally arranged a professional delivery team for the following week. Delivery Attempt #4 (Today): Yet again, the stove arrived in unacceptable condition despite attempts to clean it. The installer tried to clean it and even he agreed the stainless steel looked permanently damaged. At this point, I requested a full refund. Throughout this entire ordeal, not once did anyone from Kelly's reach out to us--no updates, no apologies, no communication at all. They issued a refund but still no call. Every single time, we had to call them. I wasted four days sitting waiting for this range, clearing out a path for delivery and canceling plans. The only positive part of this experience was the delivery crews themselves. They were polite and did the best they could with the situation they were given. Jose, Chris L, Lander and Chris H were awesome and understanding of our frustrations. The professional installer that came today (I believe his name was Gary) was also very professional and friendly.
