The service was friendly. The place was nice, although I did not enjoy sitting next to the bussing area. Everything that hit the table was absolutely excellent. The chicken and waffles were actually chicken tenders that were fried well with a sweetness to them. The Greek omelet plate was delicious and it loved the French Toast Banana foster. Dining in LA is always pricier than in OC, but it's disappointing when the food is expensive and not super worth it. First off, the interior is super cute here and the servers are nice. I did also enjoy the crispy mushrooms! It was a great appetizer for the table to share. The sauce was tasty and the lemon juice was a nice touch. However I did not really enjoy my order, the banana and blueberry chia pudding. It was very pretty but could have used more texture. I was hoping there would be more cinnamon granola. The coconut whipped cream was also very dry with an off putting bitter taste. I tried this place with my family for the first time. We love everything that we got. We wished the chicken wrap was less salty. It took them 10-15 mins to prepare our takeout order. Parking is a little tricky because it's straight a residential area.. I was able to find a spot in the residential area. When we arrive, we were greeted and it wasn't too crowded so we were able to get a seat. At first glance, I really enjoyed the coziness. Once we got in, we looked over the menu. I mentioned to the server that this is our first time and so she walked me through some of the selections that were most popular.. I must say it was a lot of options to choose. The outer appearance didn't really do justice in telling how cute the interior was. My friend well described it like a contemporary American diner. The Roasted Cauliflower appetizer came in much bigger size than we thought, making it surely worth the price. It sounded simple but well-seasoned and came in soft texture. The pairing sauce, which I thought was tahini-based just pleasantly complemented it. I got their Lox Toast and my friend got the Breakfast Sandwich, and if we forgot the waiting time for a sec, we're both pleased by our dishes. The salmon was generously served on top of the sourdough and it's just simple pairing with cream cheese and capers but I enjoyed it. The boiled egg also came at the precise doneness level I fancied. My friend's Breakfast Sandwich equally nailed it with beautiful trio of folded egg, cheese, and thick cut bacon. The idea of serving it with french toast certainly elevated this meal. Vicky's does lose a star for their coffee. I do wish it was a bit better as someone who has found great coffee around Los Angeles.
